Chapter 9 Healing

Arman moved to the examination chair, as usual Dr. Amanda will check Arman's health first.

"Are there any complaints, Arman?" ask Dr.Amanda.

"Nothing, doc."

"For now your health is fine, maybe because accompanied by a girlfriend so you are more relaxed now."

Arman only slightly smiled at his smile.

"Okay, now let's just start, yeah" exclaimed Dr. Amanda.

Arman began to panic, sweaty droplets began to appear on Arman's handsome face, even Arman's two hands were holding tight to the hands of the chair making Zee shocked and more curious about what happened to Arman.

Dr. Amanda began to take out a clear jar that contained a lizard, Arman's body began to shake violently, especially when the lizard made a sound.

"Stop, keep that animal away from me!" arman shouted with both ears closed.

"Let's Arman, you can definitely fight your fear," exclaimed Dr. Amanda by continuing to bring the jar closer to Arman.

"Doctor, keep that animal away from me! i'm scared!"

Arman starts to get hysterical, the animal's voice and likeness remind Arman of the events of his childhood.

Dr. Amanda closed all the curtains of her room, then turned off the lights of the room.

"Don't, don't torture Arman Ma, don't lock Arman Ma up, turn on the lights, Arman's scared!" yell Arman.

Zee widened his eyes to see Arman's hysterical reaction like that, Zee first saw a man who was so scared to see a lizard especially the man was a motorcycle gang leader and most feared by his opponent.

"Don't torture Arman, Ma. Arman please, Arman is scared!" yell Arman.

Dr. Amanda gave it 15 minutes, and after the time was over, Dr. Amanda reopened the curtains and restarted the lights.

Zee was again surprised when he saw Arman was no longer in the chair, and it turns out that Arman was sitting in the corner of the room with his knees hugging even Arman was also seen crying.

Zee to close his own mouth so much that his stock saw the state of Arman.

Zee immediately approached Arman, Arman's body shaking violently. Seeing Arman's condition like that, Zee felt very sorry and pity.

Dr. Amanda calls the male nurse and tells them to lift Arman's body onto the patient's bed.

Dr. Amanda invites Zee to sit down again.

"So, what happened to Arman? why is his reaction so overreacting like that?" ask Zee.

"Begini Zee, Mama Arman died giving birth to Arman and a year later, her father remarried to a secretary in his office and had a son two years older than Arman. Since childhood, Arman always get torture from Mama and her stepbrother. Arman was often tortured and locked in the bathroom in the condition of the lights on, when there was only a lizard sound that always ringed in Arman's ears. Hence, Arman was very afraid of the darkness and lizard."

"Oh my God, does his father know that he has suffered such severe trauma?" ask Zee.

"Papa Arman is a successful businessman, he is rarely at home because he has to take care of all his companies that have been spread in several big cities. Papa Arman came home just to sleep alone, even the cctv that should be a proof of the cruelty of Mama and her stepbrother, he never checked so busy."

Zee's chest felt tight to hear what Dr. Amanda said, he did not expect that Arman's life was as sad as that.

"Arman is not a son of Zee's delinquents, due to the treatment of Mama and her half-brother, Arman became a dissident child. Opposition in a sense, he seeks happiness outside the home in such a way. Arman never got the slightest affection, so he sought attention in a pushy way."

Zee was stunned to hear the explanation from Dr. Amanda, now he understood why Arman was so forced.

Dr. Amanda clasped Zee's hands together. "Zee, I know you're afraid of Arman but I beg you to stay by Arman's side, give him your support so that Arman will be enthusiastic in the treatment. According to people, Arman was a delinquent but I dare guarantee that he would never hurt those he cared about."

Zee smiles and nods his head, inexplicably touched by Arman's life story. Zee who initially hated Arman, now even turned to feel compassion for Arman.

"I'm sure you can change Arman. Arman just needs affection, and sooner or later Arman will recover from his trauma."

Zee looked towards Arman who was currently still lying on the patient bed, Arman's slumbering face implying a deep pain. Zee could not imagine how much Arman suffered since childhood had been tortured by Mama and her half-brother.
