Claudia's territory was a territory that was indeed quite vast but even so the geographical layout was completely unfavorable to them, because it was on the outskirts of the Kingdom.
Essentially Claudia's territory has existed in history since the Kingdom was formed, in the story if the first Leader of the Claudia Family earned the title of Noble for successfully defeating an attack from a horde of Nomad tribes from the south.
