The assassin immediately knelt before his Master who was upset that he had failed to kill Xiao Tan. The assassin apologized and called his Master the 'Prince's Wife.

He did not want to know, anyway today there must be a severed head. If it wasn't Xiao Tan's head, then he cut off the killer's head.

Xiao Tan is taking a bath. Jing Xin was about to bring some extra warm water, but her steps came to a halt when she saw Lian Cheng at the door of the bathroom.

But suddenly there was the sound of an intruder outside. Lian Cheng was as fast as lightning, turning off the room light and enveloping Xiao Tan in a bathrobe.

The sound of swords clashing, rang out loud from outside. But Lian Cheng convinced Xiao Tan not to be afraid, he had already told Yu Hao to stand guard outside and Jing Xin was in his room.

"I will definitely protect you. Whoever hurts you is my enemy."

The next morning, Yu Hao and a few servants prepared the traveling necessities for Lian Cheng and Xiao Tan.

Lian Cheng and Yu Hao had just come out when suddenly two arrows shot right towards Xiao Tan.
