Love In Sirens

Love In Sirens
Red Sea

"Relax, Kaesa is my man who is very good at piloting ships. I've trained him by piloting the SS Ourang Medan first."

Tio returned to the boil, hearing that Arios had no guilt or pity when he returned to explore the tragedy of the ship. However, he still could not move much because just like before, the force pressure exerted by Arios easily locked onto his movements.

"Do you know that there are a lot of conspiracies going around about the ship?" arios said with his enthusiastic face, "why do you like to gossip? They don't know what really happened. What a shame," circus of Arios.

Tio let out a rough sigh, with his face already flushed red and trembling hands he tried to push his sword forward to keep away the tip of Arios' weapon that was getting closer and closer to his face.

Unlike the case with Tio, precisely Arios did not feel any burden and difficulty when pressing his weapon towards Tio.

"I was amused myself to hear many strange conspiracies believed by you. It was clear that we were doing it."

"...Just let them speculate. Seeing the stupidity of those who received the raw news of the hoax, while we who know everything is very pleasant," continued Arios again, dealing with Tio made him talk more than usual.

Feeling no resistance and seeing the struggling Tio, Arios turned his weapon until the sword in Tio's hand was thrown along with it he hit Tio's chest hard until his body bounced backwards.

"Argh.."

Tio grimaced in pain, all over his body immediately aching to withstand Arios' extremely powerful attack. His sturdy body could not hold such a heavy burden until he felt it was futile to train hard all this time. With his remaining strength, Tio tried to sit down and lean his body against the wall of the ship. As he managed to sit down, probably because his body that was not strong resisted Arios' attack instantly coughed up blood.

Arios walked to the core deck bar, then sat down on one of the chairs there.

"I feel sorry for you, but you can continue to live with a different profession that further increases your prestige and wealth. But, you instead follow in the footsteps of your father and grandfather who even failed in their field. Do you really plan to continue their failure so you choose to be a bully as well?" ask Arios in a neutral tone of voice. There was no annoying tone like before.

Tio grimaced, "don't mock my family, uhukk.."

"Fra.. Ara.. You better not talk too much. Your body has been destroyed, you may die," Arios recalled while keeping his weapon back.

Tio again coughed up blood, his inside as if crumpled and was very sick when he spoke. However, his determination to defeat Arios has not collapsed as well. Despite his broken body, he still intends to defeat Arios, protect his crew and honor his family.

With all his might, Tio tried to grab his sword which was 5 meters away nearby. The only way he could reach for his sword with such a body was to crawl.

Tio dropped his body to the side then crawled up by jumping all his weight into his right hand which kept pulling itself dragging his body. As Tio managed to clasp his sword back, Arios quickly stepped on the tip of his sword blocking Tio from using his sword.

"Follow your foot off my sword!" tio said as he lifted his head, trying to catch the red eyes.

Arios just looked back at Tio who was under the floor there with eyes that were difficult to interpret. There is a sense of kasian and disgust to see Tio who continues to try his hardest when he knows his strength is not worth it. According to Arios, having intentions without being based on self-awareness is futile.

It's a waste of time serving people like that, he thought.

"What do you want to do? Trying to fight with such a weak body? Don't make me laugh" said Arios flatly turning his aura into gripping. He hated the typical Tio person, for having such an uncorrected confidence.

Tio furrowed his forehead, "i won't give up before beating you!" tio exclaimed as he tried to pull the sword from Arios's foot.

"Beat me? It took a thousand years for a weak being like you to defeat me," Arios pulled his leg then took a few steps back, letting Tio take his sword and see what he planned.

When the sword had been recovered, he stuck his sword on the floor and stood up with his weight on the sword. With trembling legs, Tio pointed his sword back towards Arios.

"I'll beat you!" yelled Tio again with a hoarse voice barely audible clearly.

Even his voice had almost reached its limit, considering that he had been shouting since before when faced with Arios who had drained his strength even more his eyes were already twitching. With a shaky step that made his body shake he continued to swing the sword in all directions, his sword prediction was no longer on target. Tio just attacked at random without knowing the purpose.

Arios simply stayed in his place, not intending to move at all. Until the original movement Tio tipped successfully hit the right cheek Arios until scratched and cause thick black liquid that flows over his right cheek.

Tio who saw his attack successfully injured Arios smiled proudly, the corner of his lips rose perfectly feeling pleased with his effort. However, the corners of the lips that originally rose down drastically.

What the hell's going on?

Fed up and feeling a waste of his precious time, Arios with long steps began to approach Tio. He grabbed the sword in his hand and swung his sword until it slashed at Tio's hand, making a red liquid successfully spill from the severed part of his hand.

It all happened so fast. Even Tio had not had time to respond, he suddenly saw his hand had separated from his body and fell on the floor of the core deck.

"Thurghhh!" he screamed loudly while holding his broken left arm until he rested on the floor. The excruciating pain managed to make him distraught, his head getting dizzy and his face was already flushed to endure the pain.

Arios threw his sword next to Tio who was still grimacing in pain, looking at him with a flat eye without the slightest interest. Very quickly his mood changed, if he was an ordinary man it would probably concern his unstable mental link. Like bipolar, but he sirens don't understand what mental illness is.

"Didn't the loss of one eye prove the difference in strength between your people and ours?" arios said full of emphasis with octaves of stable tones.

"...I don't know what makes you so arrogant that you think you can beat me? Losing the other limb may be able to wake you from your position, do not be too high to dream even the ego alone can not you control. Humans are full of pride, ego and lust. It is undeniable," he continued.

Still with an echoing Tio's voice screaming in pain and blood that continued to flow profusely. If left too long, maybe he will bleed to death.

...***...

"How are you planning?" hans asked directly to the point.

"Before, Dave how many lifeboats were on this ship?" roni asked one of the crew members who was responsible for emergency safety.

Dave who felt called to extend his neck to look at Roni, "there were actually 3 lifeboats on board.2 main lifeboats and 1 spare lifeboat, respectively, it's just that one of the main lifeboats cannot be used because it is under repair" he explained.

"How much is the appropriate charge?" ask Roni again.

"The main lifeboat can have a load of 18 adults, while the spare lifeboat is only 3 to 4 people" said Dave.

Dave just nodded in response to Roni's words, then sat back down and hid himself behind the crowd.

"What next? From Dave's explanation I think we should use both lifeboats and divide them into two groups" Hans added.

"Right," Roni again thought about the division of the group that he thought was very sensitive.

He turned his gaze to look at all the crew members who were just silent waiting for further instructions. The sound of rough breathing Roni who was a little troubled took the decision, so Hans finally took over the final decision.

"All right, let's vote. How's it?" hans to all who are there.

They nodded doubtfully fearing that the draw they had obtained had instead affected their own safety, yet there was no other choice but to do so.

Hans looked for papers he could possibly use to make paper sweepstakes. He told Daniel to write 18 main lifeboats and 4 spare lifeboats on the paper and roll them into small pieces. After the paper roll was finished, Daniel put all the scrolls into his hands and shuffled them to mix and gave them into Roni's hands.

Roni stood in the middle of them, "because we have 22 remaining captains and the main lifeboat only fit a maximum of 18 so the rest had to ride a spare lifeboat with 4 people," he stared at all the remaining crew, "I started from the right."

Roni walked to his right and then told the rightmost man, Hans, to take the first roll of paper and go to the leftmost. Not to forget Roni left one paper for himself and the captain, but it is unfair that he chose for his own captain. So, he told Hans to choose a scroll representing the captain and put it in the middle of them.

"Have our captain put in the middle yes, then we open together," said Hans as he moved to put the roll of paper into the middle, then back to sit in its place as before.

Roni then told them all to unroll their respective papers simultaneously. A relieved face from them after unrolling their paper, except for two people in the corner namely Jacob, Daniel and one of the crew.

"You got a spare lifeboat?" arnold asked as he looked at the tensed faces of the three of them.

Jacob nodded. "Yes" he answered with a broken nod.

Daniel and Jacob who had resigned finally smiled bitterly at each other, I don't know what would happen later. Unlike the case with the third person who saw the results that he thought were very unfair.

"I-I disagree!"

The sentence that managed to take the focus of attention of all the other ship's crew, looked at him strangely and annoyed at the same time.

"What the fuck are you, great!" upset one of the ship's crews who got a public lifeboat raffle.

Agung shook his head quickly, "I want a re-vote! This is not fair!" push it down while throwing the paper roll.

Of course they don't accept. Especially for those who have managed to get the main lifeboat lottery. There is nothing unfair in the draw this time, Agung alone did not accept losing.

"Just kid! It is precisely if it is repeated once again that is not fair!" refute the other.

"Yes!"

"I don't agree to repeat!"

Finally there was a dispute there, rejecting each other and arguing at an inappropriate time like this. They should understand each other and help each other but this is the opposite.

"Enough!" shout Jhonson.

All turned to the source of the voice, looked at the astonished master and wondered.

Jhonson gave his vote to Agung. "Here, take my draw. Let me just get on the spare lifeboat."

"You're serious, Jhon?" arnold asked to confirm that the decision was really thought out because it was very risky at the moment. With confidence Jhonson nodded his head and smiled faintly.

"You satisfied?" another sarcasm to the Supreme.

Jhonson shook his hand in the air, "already. Don't discuss it again. We better get the captain."

"But the captain's paper has not been opened" Daniel recalled.

"By looking at the other face, I'm sure the writing on the paper is a spare lifeboat" Jhonson guessed.

Daniel took the paper in the middle and opened it, and it was true according to Jhonson's estimation. Without lingering, the three of them bailed with the crew of another ship that had flocked into the main lifeboat before being released to the surface of the water.

"Are you sure we left first?" ask Roni to make sure. After a heated discussion, it turns out that the final decision is the main lifeboat group will first depart which will be followed by a reserve lifeboat group.

According to Jacob, the plan was already the best for the safety of them all. That's how he thought he didn't know what the reality would be like.

Jacob nodded. "Yes, go. We have to pick up the captain. If you've reached the mainland, seek help immediately" he recalled.

"Alright," replied Roni while closing the door to the lifeboat.

After making sure the door was closed perfectly, Jacob ordered Daniel to pull the lever to drop the lifeboat by partially opening the ship. The lifeboat managed to fall to the surface of the water and then by reversing the lever, Daniel again closed the part of the ship back.

After the ship closed, the three of them then peered out of the glass that led straight to the sea where the lifeboat was floating. But what made them shocked was, a few minutes after the lifeboat floated. There was a scene that truly left the three of them instantly traumatized.

The blue sea turned into a red sea instantly.
