Love in a Contract Marriage

Love in a Contract Marriage
Love in Marriage Contracts chapter 9

"You've come home" said Maria as she watched Yasmin and Gibran walk side by side into her house.

"Yes, Ma. I'm sorry Ma, we're late outside" Yasmin said.

"What do you mean? You're outside the same as your husband, want a full day is not a problem."

"Yasmin is so Ma, his work is apologetic" Gibran said.

"Oh yes, Yas had your father come here" explained Maria.

"Dad?" Yasmin looked at Gibran and then at Maria again.

"You want what he said, Ma?" ask Yasmin.

"Don't know, your dad just said he said your mom misses you. He asked you to come home to see your mother."

"If so now we go back to your house only Yas, we stay there" said Gibran.

"Mas, you're tired. I don't want you to be too tired because it's not good for your health, we're going to mom's house tomorrow. If you want to work, I'll go there myself."

"Yasmin's right, Gibran. You guys go there tomorrow."

Galih promised to pass them but his eyes did not see the path he was walking down, the twenty-year-old continued to look at Yasmin who was standing next to Gibran with her sweet smile.

"Aww!" Not focusing on the road, Galih kicked the legs of the table near them.

"Why lo?" ask Gibran while looking at Galih.

"Tripping" said Galih while holding his leg that hurt.

"Eat it when it goes eye clothes."

"Yeah, bloody shit." Yasmin looked frantically at the blood coming out from the tip of Galih's toe.

"Oh my God, Galih, why is it bleeding?" Maria immediately walked to the table beside the television to take the city p3k!

"This is treat first."

Yasmin immediately grabbed the p3k city from Maria's hand and began to clean the wound.

"Yes, let me just mama."

"It's okay Ma, I can do it." Yasmin continued to drain the blood coming out of the wound with tissue after which she drips a red medicine.

Gibran continued to pay attention to Yasmin's every move that was deft in taking care of the wound on Galih's leg.

From start to finish, Galih continued to pay attention to Yasmin's face. Somehow she felt like there was something strange inside her as she looked at Yasmin.

"It's done. Next time, be careful. Don't let this happen again" Yasmin told Gibran.

"Yes brother. Thank you for treating my wound even though the wound is also not much."

"No matter how small the wound is, being let go can cause pain."

"Other times if you want to stumble elsewhere just do not get near Yasmin, so bother him to do your wound," Gibran said.

"Who would like to believe this. If I can break I don't want to stumble until the gini wound, sick tofu."

"Why do you keep making noise?" said Maria.

Yasmin smiled and left them in the room!

"Ma, I'm sorry."

"Dear dear, thank you for ngobatin Galih."

"Yes Ma, I'm not sure."

Yasmin walked straight to her room with her groceries!

Gibran immediately followed Yasmin to her room!

"Ma, brother Gibran, where the hell is a creature like Yasmin?" ask Galih after Gibran leaves.

"You mean?" Maria looked at Galih with a questioning look.

"No, I was wrong."

"Well, if anything, she's your sister's wife."

"Yes Ma, I know."

"Udah ah, Mama wants to call Papa first." Maria got up from her seat and grabbed her phone from the table.

In Gibran's room.

"Next time don't pay too much attention to Galih" Gibran said.

"Why? He's your brother."

"It's nothing, I'm afraid he'll like you."

"Can't be. She'll know I'm your wife."

"You're the same age, you could've fallen in love."

"Age is not a guarantee for someone to put his heart."

"I'm just scared."

"How old are you?"

"Why marry me who is only twenty. Even if the contract is still a marriage."

"There's no other choice. You're all I know. I think you used to do that."

"That's what?"

"Well contract."

"No. If it wasn't for my stepfather, I wouldn't have done this contract marriage. It's like playing with a promise of love."

"I wouldn't want to do this either if it wasn't for being forced to. Rather than me being betrothed, it's better this way."

"Let's not talk about anything anymore. I'm gonna take a shower."

"Mandi together?"

"No, no shower together."

Yasmin walked into the bathroom without looking at Gibran sitting behind her!

–––– ––––

"Where did you go all day?" ask Galih who is curious.

"People know people's business" said Gibran.

"We are from Wanda's grave, the kind and beautiful woman your sister once loved" Yasmin said.

"What's? Why did you take Yasmin there Gibran?" ask Darwin.

Gibran glanced at Yasmin at a glance, in his mind Yasmin should not have said that to her family.

Yasmin only smiled faintly in response to Gibran's mysterious gaze, in fact she knew what Gibran was thinking.

"Pa, Mas Gibran introduced the girl to me. That's why I was invited there," Yasmin told her father-in-law.

"But you can get hurt. I mean, Papa, Gibran will hurt your feelings."

"Absolutely not, I'm glad that Mas Gibran can open up to me. I'm neither jealous nor hurt, I'm lucky to be the wife of a man who never hid anything from his wife."

"Yasmin, Mama heard you guys weren't dating for long. What made you willing to marry Gibran?" ask Maria.

"Mam, what's that question? Is there another topic to talk about?" Gibran.

"Mama wants to know."

"Me too" continued Galih.

"There's no reason to reject it, it's me who has to ask Mas Gibran that question. What made Mas Gibran want to marry me? As you know I'm just a girl who can be born from a simple family even arguably my family includes the poor."

"I don't see people from his wealth, I see people from the way he lives his daily life. For what is rich if she cannot respect her husband and parents. You are beautiful, kind and also good. There's no reason for me not to marry you" Gibran said.

"Waw you guys are perfect enough to be a couple" said Darwin.

"Sir Yas, how old are you?"

"Twenty. Why?"

"Well, my age is the same as me. Brother not going to college?"

"I told you earlier, that I was born from an ordinary family. My parents can't afford my college."

"If you want to go to college, go to college. Later Mama will list you in Galih's campus."

"No Ma, I don't intend to go to college after I get married. Now my place of study is not on campus but in the kitchen and around the house. I have to learn to take care of my husband and home to be a good wife."

"You've been the best for me, Yas."

Yasmin smiled at Gibran's words, for some reason she was happy when she knew they were just perfecting their acting.

"Mbak Wati, please sort this out yes" Maria told her domestic assistant.

Fun chatting they just realized that they were chatting at the dining table. After eating they did not immediately leave their seats, they were even engrossed in chatting for a long time.

"Okay, Madam."

After they all left the dining room, the two housekeepers cleaned the dining table and washed the dirty dishes that their employers had eaten.

"Sir, I help ya," said Yasmin who was still there.

"No, Miss Yasmin. We're the only ones working on it" Arti said.

"It's okay, I can do it."

"Don't Ma'am, look at the Young Master waiting for you." Wati turned her gaze towards Gibran who was standing beside the dining table.

Yasmin turned around and it turned out to be true, Gibran was there!

"You must be tired, let's take a break. Work in the kitchen let them take care of it." Gibran spoke in a soft tone.

Yasmin nodded slowly and then she started walking towards Gibran.

"Sorry mom, I'm not helping you" Yasmin said before she left the kitchen.

They walked side by side to his room!
