Tok Tok!!
The door was knocked by someone, Aisha and Zahra were freaking out behind the door while squeezing their fingers, so frantically cold sweat started pouring down their bodies.
Tok Tok!!
Once again the man knocked on the door with such force that the sound of his knock was a little jarring inside the mosque. However, there was no one inside except the two of them, Aisha and Zahra stared at each other confused as to what they should do.
"Assalamu’alaikum." The man said hello to them both, making them confused whether the person wanted to do evil or vice versa.
"Waalaikum salam." Aisha ventured to answer her greetings with an unbecoming feeling.
"Aisha!?" the person's words surprised Aisha by how she could know her name.
"Who?" sahut Zahra who had tried to peek out from behind the window.
"I'm Dean who was testing it" said the man named Dean, who made them feel calm knowing that he was a good person.
They opened the door and greeted him and apologized for being suspicious of him.
"It's okay, but what makes me wonder is why you haven't come home yet?" dean asked curiously.
They then told Dean that they were from the village of Rambutan far from the city, they went to the city just to follow the selection because Aisha had a very melodious voice, because of their carelessness, wallets with money to eat and go home are lost on the way to make them stranded and forced to stay at the mosque and they do not know what they have to do, he said, while to go home requires a fairly expensive fee they also tell that the money they bring is their savings during teaching in elementary school.
"What if while you're staying in a boarding house not far from here?" take Dean, "I happen to be the teacher at the cottage" Dean continued, staring at Aisha.
"Do they cost? we have no money at all" Zahra said, staring at her best friend.
"It's okay God willing is free for you later I will tell Mr. Kiyai about your situation," continued Dean with a friendly smile.
"Rather than you here and not knowing what to do, you, you better stay in the boarding school tomorrow God willing I will accompany you to send a letter to your family in the post hopefully can help" Dean told them, Aisha and Zahra just nodded because they had no other choice, rather than staying like a kingpin it was better to stay in the pesantren for a while.
After packing they then walked in Dean's footsteps wearing black gloves and rattan peci, Dean looks authoritative stepping his legs steady lead them to the boarding school not too far from the mosque where they are. The night is getting late and then the tares start to decrease, the vehicle starts to decline, the cold wind began to make them miss their hometown.
......................
Pondok Pesantren Babus salam is written on the entrance gate of the cottage, there is a fairly simple dormitory building and a fairly large musholla with two dark green domes.
The atmosphere in the hut is very quiet maybe the santri have slept because the night is very late. However, some of the night birds broke the silence of the night with his slightly deafening chirp. Next to the dormitory there is a fish pond that is quite large some fish are seen to be raising his head to the surface.
Aisha and Zahra entered the room carefully, as there were several plates and glasses in the middle of the room.
"All right, you guys take a break, I'll take care of you." After saying Dean's greeting then left the two of them in the room.
"Ra used this to make stuff," said Aisha while showing it to a fairly outdated closet. Zahra then placed their luggage in the closet carefully. There are several books on a bookshelf and also a prayer mat and a veil.they then begin to tidy up the room so that they can rest in peace.
"Sleeping on Sha's carpet?" Zahra brought a carpet from the corner of the room.
"What are you wearing, Ra," Aisha said, clenching her lips and smiling broadly, Zahra then spread the carpet in the middle of the room carefully after that they rest on the carpet while longing for the night atmosphere in their respective homes.
Aisha misses her mother and sister, no matter what they are doing, her mother will not worry because she has told her that she will stay at Zahra's house, guilt began to haunt his thoughts and feelings because he had dared to lie to his mother, whether what he would say later in front of his mother he just resigned to what happened today. Drowsiness began to attack him his eyes slowly clenched then he went to embroider a dream.
......................
"Tea woke up tea is already noon." A woman with thin hair and a sharp nose woke Aisha from her sleep, slowly Aisha woke up and was surprised to see the woman smiling at her.
"Hello tea my name is Hipjiah" said the sweet woman as she extended her hand to Aisha.
Aisha wakes up and welcomes her words and introduces herself, and then looks at Zahra who is eating something on the plate with a joking smile at her.
"Udah I woke up to a very big kebo, anyway," joked Zahra with a small laugh which was then greeted by Aisha who wore a pouting expression.
"Come Aisha tea, at first eat breakfast," said the sweet woman named Hipjiah while offering a plate containing white rice and fried tempeh to him.
"Eat Sha to be strong." Zahra joked again while eating tempeh into her mouth. Aisha then began to eat the food that Hipjiah had prepared greedily.
"After dinner we go to kiyai yah, I say goodbye first." Hipjiah then left the two of them who were enjoying the food greedily. After they finished eating, they washed the dishes next to the office with a water tap.
"Weh, there's a new kid." A woman of high stature came to them in the care of two friends.
"May our treat" said one woman who had a mole above her lips.
"yes at least fried," continued his friend who has very pliable eyelashes.
Aisha and Zahra were only poised to wash the dishes regardless of what the three of them said, but one of them boldly pushed Zahra who was washing the dishes so as to make the plate fall and break apart.
