CHAPTER 8

Mila woke up in a third of the night. The air felt so cold that it made him reluctant to get up. Mila peeked out of the window, looking at the stars scattered in the sky. The moon seemed beautiful to make his heart feel calm.

When he was a child, his father loved to take the road to the long beach. He could not see the waves there. But what his father showed me was a stretch of stars in the beach sky.

Eva sits next to her best friend. Mila wondered why Eva had woken up. Though Mila even woke up because of the sound of his friend's snoring.
