The man then said, ''What if the goat gets lost?'' The Prophet replied, 'Is he yours or your brother (other people) or a beast?'' The man asked again, What if the camel is lost? The Prophet replied, Let him have nothing to do with you, he has his own drink bag, and his feet are in his own shoes. He sought water and ate the leaves of trees, until he was found by his master.'' (Hadith history of Bukhari).

However, this law does not apply to found goods (al-luqathah) found in Makkah. If any item is left in the Holy Land, it is forbidden to take it unless it is announced. The Prophet said: ''Must not pick up his findings (meaning Makkah) except for those who will introduce him."

It is mandatory for the person who finds the item to observe the signs that distinguish it from other goods, be it in the form of its place or bond, as well as related to its type and size. For those who find it is also obliged to maintain the findings 8it is like maintaining their own goods. In this case, it makes no difference to a trivial item or an important item.

The goods are on him as wadi'ah goods (custody). He is not obliged to guarantee in the event of an accident unless intentionally. Then after that, he is obliged to announce it to the public in various ways: in the market and in other places where the alleged powerful owner is at that place.

If the owner comes and he mentions the signs and characteristics of the finding perfectly, then the inventor is allowed to submit it to the person, even if there is no real evidence. If the owner does not come, the inventor is obliged to announce it for one year.

After one year no one confessed, it was lawful for him to give alms to the goods or use them himself both rich and poor. And he has no obligation to guarantee it.
