Chapter 24: Avoiding

"Mela, why are you crying?" asked Mr. Adi then looked sharply at Darsen.

Darsen who was in front of Mela just fell silent. If Mr. Adi knows for sure he will keep Mela away from him.

"Grandfather, Papa was scolding Aunt Mela," said Velino who was still innocent.

Mela was still crying a hiccup, Mr. Adi took her and of course scolded Darsen.

"What did you do to Mela? You know you don't like Mela. Not infrequently you see you're rude to your own sister. You're a grown-up Darsen, you love to make your sister cry" said Mr. Adi.

"Sir Darsen did what to you that you were scared and cried like this?" ask Mr. Adi.

"What's going on? What happened between Darsen and you last night? If something strange happens between you then I don't hesitate to return you to the orphanage" said Mother.

"Nothing, Mom. We didn't do anything" Mela replied.

Thirst approached him, Mela went to the kitchen to get a drink. When he went to the kitchen, he accidentally met Darsen who was also taking a drink. Mela dodges but Darsen prevents her by blocking Mela's hand.

"Mel, where are you going? Why dodge?" ask Darsen.

Mela's eyes reddened, she almost cried but Darsen remained in his position to invite Mela to chat. Darsen wants to apologize for his selfish attitude that makes Mela must be depressed.

"I just wanted to apologize, brother was so wrong. You must have been very surprised by last night."
