LIFE SECONDS
CHAPTER 6: COMMUNICATION
The night has now turned into dawn. The church birds chirped melodiously on the branches of the tree. The forest chickens crowed no less loudly than the sparrow. The atmosphere in the morning was so peaceful.
On this holiday, as always, the Ravenell family will have breakfast together. The division of tasks will be done. The men will be in charge of harvesting vegetables, while those who are women will be in charge of cooking in the kitchen. But another thing with today. Erland and Zuito are not seen helping Felix harvest vegetables. The curious Rei, finally asked Valencia the older brother.
“Erland and Zuito where?”
“Hm?” Valencia Sahut.
“Erland and Zuito. I didn't see him this morning. Usually, they always help brother Felix harvest for breakfast.” Clearly Rei repeated his question.
Valencia thought while holding his chin, “They, yes, try asking Felix.”.
Rei nodded and continued to help cut the vegetables.
When breakfast arrived, the three gathered at the dinner table for breakfast together. Only Erland and Zuito were invisible there. Surprisingly, neither of his brothers questioned that. They seemed to enjoy the food without discussing anything.
Rei grew curious and finally tried to dare himself to ask, “Kak Felix, may I ask one thing?”
Felix raised his head, “About what?”
“Erland and Zuito. They are invisible from morning.” Further asked.
Felix was silent for a while, just a moment before finally forwarding his breakfast, “Hm The answer.
Rei nodded. He continued his breakfast, though he was still overwhelmed with confusion.
After finishing the meal, Rei quickly washed the dishes and rearranged them. After that, he immediately went to the room of his two brothers.
After Rei left, Valencia put down his spoon and looked at Felix sharply.
“Why didn't you tell him?” Ask.
“Not necessary. Let them explain.”
Felix doesn't seem to care. He just continued to eat and did not even look into Valencia's eyes as he spoke.
Valencia can only sigh long, “You are still stubborn, yes.”
Upon reaching their room, Rei knocked slowly on the door and called their names softly.
“Erland, Zuito, you guys are inside?”
“Ah, Brother Rei. Yes, we are here.” Zuito Sahur.
“What's up, Rei?” Erland asked him.
“Why don't you guys have breakfast together?”
Erland and Zuito fell silent for a moment. They looked at each other, thinking what answer they should give.
Finally, after a long silence, one of them opened his voice.
“Sister Felix hasn't told you?” Ask Zuito.
“We're on time, Rei. Well, you know, the incident last night.” Erland.
“That's yes..about until when?” Ask again.
“Sepekan.”
Rei was silent for a moment. He looked at the door in front of him, thinking what he would do during the week. Does he have to keep his distance? Or keep communicating? But, how is it?
After being silent for a few minutes, an idea popped into his head, “Then, I will visit you every day.” Her speech.
Erland and Zuito were shocked, they almost laughed when they heard Rei's words just now. One thing that comes to their mind is, “For what?” Because, on a normal day, Rei also rarely visited them. Is Rei not well? That's their guess.
“How?” Rei repeated his words.
“For what? Usually, you also rarely visit us.” Sahut Erland's.
“Indeed can't be, huh? My intentions are good like this. But, instead of rejected.” Rei sighed while leaning his body against the door of their room.
Erland took a deep breath, “Not so. But, strangely enough, ‘kan? You rarely visit us either. Anyway, we're still one roof, you know?”
“But, the initial problem can be like this is because of me. Besides, you guys were sentenced to a week, so I couldn't see you all that long. Maybe, I can miss you too.”
The three of them fell silent, it was true what Rei said. They must have missed him too.
Zuito twisted his brain, remembering things that might be useful to them.
“RIGHT TOO!” Said suddenly.
“What?” Asked Rei and Erland simultaneously.
“RIGHT TOO!”
They laugh together and make a deal and time to communicate with each other without being discovered.
Of course, they discussed it from that secret hole. A secret hole connects their two rooms. The hole was placed under Rei's bed so that it would not be easily realized by their other two brothers.
Using a piece of paper, they communicate with each other.
Zuito and Erland:
So how? How about midnight?

^^^Don't, Brother Felix usually patrols the room at night.^^^
Erland and Zuito:
How do you know that?
^^^Rei:^^^
^^^ I was caught when I was studying at midnight. How about 4pm? Brother Felix and brother Valencia are still working at that hour.^^^
After reading the contents of the letter, Erland and Zuito seemed to discuss for a while before deciding on it.
“How, Brother?” Zuito asked Erland.
“Can only. Good idea.”
The two of them wrote down the results of their discussion on the paper and delivered it to Rei's room using the secret hole intermediary.
Erland and Zuito:
Good idea, we agree.
Rei read the contents of the letter and smiled. He then hid their secret communication paper behind his photo album. I wish the other brother wasn't aware of it.
After finishing storing it neatly, he continued his activities to clean the house, especially his room. Eagerly he swept it away, wiped the dust on his tables, windows, and reading books, and washed his clothes. It takes all day to clean it up so that without feeling the time has now entered the afternoon.
The alarm rang, Rei quickly turned it off. 04.00 PM. That's what it says there.
He immediately checked the conditions outside his room, seeing where his two brothers were. After feeling safe, Rei closed the door and locked it.
“Now, it's time to chat with them!” His speech inwardly was accompanied by a satisfied smile engraved on his face.
He took out his pen and piece of paper and then wrote a few words into it.

^^^Hey, Erland, Zuito. Sorry if I just notified you. I just finished cleaning my room. It's been a while. But, I think I'm just in time. Didn't we? What about you guys? Have you guys cleaned your room? What about lunch? You guys also had lunch, ‘kan?^^^
“Dan, send!”
Rei put the paper into the hole. The hole that would lead him to his two brothers.
After waiting for quite a while, he finally got a reply. He read it with a feeling of passion.
Erland and Zuito:
Ja. We had lunch, we had our room cleaned.
^^^Rei:^^^
^^^Good. Who's delivering your lunch?^^^
Erland and Zuito:
Valencia, about 1 o'clock.
They continued their conversation. Just a regular chat, discussing the usual everyday.

^^^So, early December, want to play together?^^^
Erland and Zuito:
Is it snowing yet?
Rei fell silent after reading the letter. It was not the letter he asked. Except, the letter from the letter. He understood that it was not the writing of Erland or Zuito. It was more like Felix's handwriting.
