"Who are you really?"
The man looked at me with a sharp cold look. He did not lower the weapon, as if the target of his fire was still in front of him.
Without even flinching, the man pulled the trigger of the gun, so that a loud bang could be heard, and a bullet was fired from the mouth of the gun.
* * *
The roar of the engine was clearly heard, this carriage was speeding through amidst the darkness of this passageway.
Shined by the flickering tunnel lights, my eyes turned towards the glossy blue business card.
"You were attacked by that monster. Are you hurt?"
That heavy voice awakened me. I lifted my head and looked at the man.
While returning the business card to her, I nodded and answered her question.
"No, I'm fine."
With his burly hand he received the card, then I pulled and removed the tam of my broken hand.
Instantly something crossed the mind of that man named Devin. His eyes twinkled and he immediately grabbed my arm.
"Is this clock broken because of the monster's attack?"
.....
His hand struck me who was sitting quietly in that chair. I turned towards her with a blank look, then I nodded my head slowly.
Devin was surprised to see my answer, he fell silent for a moment, then immediately grabbed the neatly arranged row of suitcases.
The suitcases were opened one by one, the entire contents of the suitcase were taken out and shuffled to the floor, like a thief who was doing the action.
I looked at him with a thousand questions. I wanted to stand up and approach her, but my fear blocked my intention.
"W-what are you doing?"
Without looking back, Devin shouted and answered my question. One by one clothes began to fly, and the cloths covered the dried corpse lying there.
"Those monsters can't make up for hard things. Help me find a strong body protector!"
Hearing that, I lowered my gaze and glanced towards my broken watch.
The clock broke and the middle was hollow, but my arm was not hurt at all. It reminded me of the monster's habit, where they always stick their tongues on human necks.
"Ah."
Realizing that, I immediately got up and ran towards Devin.
My hands immediately ransacked the contents of the suitcase, as if looking for a treasure hidden in it.
"Don't use cloth. We need something harder."
One by one the suitcases opened and the contents scattered, but we have not found what we want.
I started to get nervous, as we spent quite a long time unpacking the suitcases. In the end I sighed and stopped my actions for a moment.
My gaze was drawn to the roll of adhesive stored in the trunk of this carriage. I curiously picked up the thing, and thought of anything that could be done with it.
'This...'
An idea flashed through my mind, I immediately grabbed the pile of paper and stuck it in my arm, so that the thick pile looked like a protective sleeve.
I pulled the adhesive, then excitedly I shouted to Devin.
"Mr Devin! We can use this as a protector!"
Devin immediately turned his head and came towards me. His gaze stared at the pile of paper meticulously.
The adhesive I pulled and attached to the pile of paper, made it fuse and become my arm protector.
I flicked my hand and cut off the adhesive, and then I lifted my arm wrapped in a pile of paper up.
Devin was silent for a moment, then he nodded his head. His sweat dripped from his head, signaling his stamina had drained a lot.
"Yes. It could be used."
* * *
Devin rolled the paper with adhesive. Like a combat-ready army, both of our arms are protected by that pile of paper, and each of us holds a broomstick as a weapon.
The clothes clad in my body were drenched in sweat, and the shadows of fear seemed to bounce from our eyes.
Even though we looked combat-ready, we were mentally not ready to fight. My body stood upright, but my mind was so fragile.
Silence hit this train. Bodies were lying everywhere, and bloodstains littered this entire place.
Moments later, a blue hologram appeared in front of us. The shape is transparent like glass, and inside there is a writing.
[You will immediately exit the portal and enter the dungeon. Monsters will see you as a victim.]
[You will enter the dungeon in 00:10.]
'What?'
I stared at the panel with a thousand questions. There are two-digit numbers on the panel, and those numbers continue to decrease over time.
The sound of this train was the only sound that entered our ears. Slowly the chariot emerged from behind the darkness, and broke into the bright light.
Devin realized something, his previously confused eyes turned sharp.
His hand squeezed the stick tightly, and he began to open his mouth.
"your name...Leon right?"
I heard his call and looked at him. With a straight look towards the window, he smiled and started to speak.
"Prepare. Something unimaginable to you will happen."
"W-wh...?"
Before I could finish my words, a sliver of light suddenly seeped in through the window, and this carriage shot out of this tunnel.
My eyes were drawn to the window, and I saw a ruined city, where dragons were flying over it and buildings were falling down.
I was so stunned I couldn't say anything. This messy world and flying monsters, can only be found in a game.
At the same time, the time indicator on the panel also shows the number 0, which is accompanied by the sound of a loud bell.
