This little Munchkin is too handsome. They are strong, fair, and cute. Yu Wan had lived for two lives, but she had never seen such a child that made people unable to turn away. He wished he could smell their fat little faces.
Yu Wan was not good at approaching people. Even Little Bruiser was just holding his hand. However, in the presence of a few children he had first met, he actually wanted to kiss, hug, and raise them. It's really not like him.
Yu Wan shook her head. Now is not the time to complain about this.
These children were wearing cloth clothes that did not match them. The robbers must have changed their real clothes to hide their identity.
To be able to do this shows that they are old hands. Once they knew, it would be difficult to escape.
After thinking about it, Yu Wan did not dare to stay any longer. He found a basket filled with miscellaneous items in the house. He had no idea how long it had been since this basket had been used. It is gray and has two holes.
However, Yu Wan did not care about this. He first tested the robustness of the basket. Then, he placed the blanket into the basket and carefully placed the three children inside. Finally, he covered the children with cotton, carried a basket, and quietly left the house.
As soon as he left, the robbers came carrying food. He walks while eating. When he looked up, he saw a copper lock on the ground.
He frowned and kicked open the door. He took three steps to the bed and roughly pulled the curtain. When he saw his bed was empty and even his blanket was gone, he shouted, “Not good! Someone is here! The kids are gone!”
The robbers hurriedly threw their bowls and chased after him.
After Yu Wan walked out of the house, she originally planned to run to a place where many people were. Who knew that he would meet that group of robbers in such a short time. These people were not a horde inside the house, but they had received the leader's order to come out and investigate.
Just like that, Yu Wan met them.
They did not know Yu Wan, nor did they know what was hidden in his basket. They didn't mean to bother him.
Unexpectedly, the robbers in the house chased after them. One of them shouted furiously, “Blackie! Catch her! He took those kids!”
Hearing this, this group of robbers pounced on Yu Wan.
Yu Wan kicked a robber. The robber hit the robber behind him and forcefully opened the path.
Yu Wan hurriedly rushed over!
Just as he was about to pass through this desolate alley, a wave of robbers in the residence took a detour from the other side and mercilessly blocked the exit.
This time, he could not rush.
There were wolves in front and tigers in back.
Yu Wan retreated a few steps and turned into another alley.
This group of people was very familiar with the terrain. They not only blocked all the alleyways that might lead to the city, but also lured the patrolmen.
Yu Wan did not come to Lotus Flower City often. He relied on his instincts to avoid danger and walked through the remote alleys. In the end, he didn't even know where he was.
Along the deserted road, Yu Wan gasped for breath as she held onto a tree.
His body was strong, but it could not withstand such torment. The three children were not heavy when separated, but when stacked, they still had weight, not to mention he had to run so fast.
“Fiuh... I'm exhausted..”.
Yu Wan was exhausted and her clothes were soaking wet, but she did not dare to stay any longer. He was worried that the robbers would catch up. He kept walking forward. About an hour later, a dilapidated temple appeared in front of him.
Yu Wan really did not have the strength to continue her journey. He decided to rest in the temple first.
He entered the dilapidated temple and was surprised to find that he was not the only one resting here. The bench in the temple was broken, and on the ground that was so messy that there was nowhere to stand, a sky blue robed man was sitting on top of a broken piece of wood.
The man was tall and his sitting posture was rather relaxed and bold. However, his back was straight and he slowly exuded a gentle and elegant temperament.
The light in the temple was dim.
Yu Wan could not help but look again.
He was very confident that the man had heard his movements, but the other party looked calm and composed. He did not even raise his eyelids, as if he did not care that anyone else had barged in.
Since the other party did not say anything, Yu Wan would naturally not take the initiative to start a conversation.
Yu Wan found an old pillow across from the man and sat down. He carried the basket on his back in front of him and looked at the man carefully. Seeing that the other party was indeed not paying attention to him, he gently lifted the corner of the blanket and looked towards the children who were sleeping soundly inside.
“Kakak, there is a temple in front!” The sound of robbers coming from close.
Yu Wan's expression turned cold!
“You guys, follow me!”
The footsteps were getting closer.
Yu Wan hurriedly walked towards the back door, only to find there was a lake behind him. He gritted his teeth and returned to the temple, hiding behind a Buddha statue covered in spider webs.
As the five robbers passed through the doorway, Yu Wan took out a scythe from her waist.
“Did you see a girl carrying a basket?” Said the robber leader.
“Ya,” said the man.
Yu Wan gripped her scythe handle tightly.
“Where?” The master robber asked again.
The man pointed out the door. “He went east.”
The robbers looked at the man deeply, then exchanged glances. It was unknown if the aura of the man intimidated this group of people, but in the end, they did not choose to provoke him. They turned around and chased in the direction he pointed.
Yu Wan closed her eyes and sighed in relief. He put down his scythe and walked out with the basket on his back.
“Thank you very much,” said.
“Can you make fire?” The man asked.
“Ya,” says Yu Wan.
The man threw a matchstick at Yu Wan.
Yu Wan placed the basket on his back, found some grass and dried branches, and lit a small fire in front of the man. Then, he returned to his original seat and hugged the basket.
The man picked up a dead branch and fiddled with the fire. “You will strangle the children if you continue to cover the cloth in the basket.”
Yu Wan's eyes suddenly flashed with caution!
“If you don't mind, come and warm yourself near the fire,” said the man calmly.
Yu Wan looked at him without blinking. Although he did not know how he could know, he would long betray him if he had ill intentions.
With this thought, Yu Wan suppressed his vigilance. He went and sat on the pillow with the basket and slowly lifted the blanket.
A bright flame shone and reflected on the three red faces.
His heart softened for some reason after seeing the faces that were asleep.
