Giany's body trembled in fear as he realized Desta was in the doorway. She no longer dared to raise her head to look at her husband.

Seeing Giany was about to get out of the house by dragging a suitcase made Desta boarded the apoplexy.

“So you want to go from home without asking permission from your husband?”

“I'm going to go, Mas. After all, wouldn't Mas Desta divorce me?”

Desta stepped in, so Giany took a few steps back. “But until this moment I haven't divorced you, meaning you can't leave this house. Know?”

Giany's body trembled even more as Desta clasped his arm tightly. One hand grabbed Giany's suitcase by force and then also threw him into a corner of the room. He pulled Giany up the stairs.

Driven by pain and disappointed by Desta's treatment so far, Giany ventured into Desta's grip firmly. Then immediately ran towards the door, but as fast as lightning Desta again grabbed his body.

“Let go of me, Mas!” yelled Giany while rebelling, trying to take off Desta's grip.

Plaque Plaque!

Two hard slaps again landed on both cheeks of Giany. Blood dripped down at the corner of his lips.

“Listen, Giany .. I will never let you go until anytime. Your place is in this house. And one more thing, I will never divorce you, because you are only mine!”

"No, Mas. I am no longer strong with you. Please let me go."

"No way!"

Afterwards, Desta drags Giany into a room. Aunt Sum who was just a spectator. The middle-aged woman could do nothing but cry over Giany. Because, the more he defended, the more cruelly Desta treated his wife like days before.

Either for the umpteenth time, Giany's cries, cries and cries of pain echoed. But Desta seemed to have dark eyes. His hands were so lightly beating on someone he should have taken care of with his body and soul.

Desta pushed Giany to the floor. His head hit the closet. Desta stepped closer, making Giany slowly retreat.

Suddenly ...

Bugh!

Desta slammed onto the floor. Giany just hit a baseball bat he found in the corner of the closet. Her punch hit the back of her husband's neck.

Not wanting to lose his chance, Giany immediately opened the door of the room and ran out. Aunt Sum who was still in front of the room, immediately approached Giany.

Giany stared at the sheet of money that Aunt Sum had given him. He knew the money was Aunt Sum's salary that month that he wanted to send to his children in the village. Giany's tears broke again considering Aunt Sum's kindness to him all this time. He returned the money to Aunt Sum's hand.

“Mbak Giany, take this! Giany needs this to go. It's already night, Ma'am!”

“Do not, Aunty. My son also needs to eat everyday. I'm fine.” without waiting anymore, Giany immediately ran out.

“Giany, beware if you dare to get out of this house!” yelled Desta with great difficulty.

Unconcerned by Desta's shout, with the rest of his strength Giany ran out. His steps were stifled until he arrived in front of the gate. Mr. Mulyo was standing right there.

The middle-aged man looked at Giany from toe to head. His body trembled in fear, his hair was disheveled, his clothes torn in several parts. Blood dripped on the corner of his lips, following some bruises on the face. Seeing all that, a pair of Pak Mulyo's neutrals were filled with clear liquid. So sorry for Giany's condition.

Mr. Mulyo did not want to defend Giany if beaten by her husband. He had tried to warn Desta several times. However, every time he did, Desta would be even more ruthless beating his wife.

Giany turned to the door again for fear that Desta might come out. He was no longer able to speak, but his heartbreaking gaze made Mr. Mulyo feel unbearable.

Mulyo immediately grabbed the gate key and opened it. It'll be as bad as what Desta will be. The most important thing is Giany's safety.

“Run fast, Ma'am! Let my Mr. Desta block,” said Mr. Mulyo.

Without waiting any longer, Giany immediately ran out when he saw Desta emerge from behind the door and tried to chase after him.

“Pak Mulyo, why did the gate open?” snapped Desta.

Mulyo did not answer. He tried to block Desta who wanted to pursue Giany, but Desta who was filled with anger pushed him to the point of crashing.

While Giany kept running with staggering steps. He was almost exhausted, not to mention that his left ankle was still wrapped in bandages.

Back there, Desta was chasing him. Either to hide where to be free from the pursuit of her cruel husband. Which Giany knew, he had to keep running to avoid the pursuit of Desta.

Until arriving at a road that is quite quiet, Giany has no power to run. Shouting for help is free, no one will listen. It's dark. Tiredness and pain fused within his body.

Should he give up and let Desta find him?

Giany kept going with the energy left. All around felt spinning in his view. It would collapse, but a pair of firm hands pulled it. Hugged tightly.
