Sunny morning as usual in the city of Eartfil, all doing their activities smoothly. So did Yugi and Vira who are now in the deepest forest of the kingdom of Eartfil. There they were doing a special exercise taught by Yugi.
“Fire Ball..”.
Duuuuaaarrrrr
An explosion occurred when a silver-haired little girl with eyes as red as fire had just launched a move. His sharp gaze did not stop seeing a young man he had just attacked. The young man who was attacked was covered in thick dust due to the attack of the girl earlier.
“How is teacher...?” ask the girl to her teacher.
Not long ago the puff of smoke began to disappear and showed a young man churning snow white with blue eyes as beautiful as the sky. A smile formed on his face when he saw his disciple who had trained hard.
“Lumayan, you've grown Vira.” Praise him with a proud smile to his students.
“A-I know that.. thanks teacher Yugi.” Said Vira with the shyness of her cat.
“Maybe it's time for you to master the Devil's Eye.”
Yugi's statement made Vira a little surprised, because from the beginning his teacher had no intention of teaching him about the devil's eyes before his time. Hearing that his teacher was willing to teach him about the devil's eyes he thought that now was the time to master that ability.
“What do you mean teacher?” ask Vira.
“Your present ability is enough to rule over that demon's eyes. I did forbid you to use those eyes, but now I'm sure you can master them. Because you are my student.” obviously Yugi who makes Vira happy to hear it.
“I will not disappoint you teacher..” reply Vira firmly.
“Now let's start with mana control..” said Yugi.
“Siap...” reply Vira.
The Kingdom of Eartfil, is a kingdom famous for its defense that is very difficult to penetrate. His king who was the Emperor of the Land had ruled this kingdom for 80 years. Until now this kingdom is still prosperous without the slightest obstacle. But there is one thing about this kingdom, where hereditary traditions occur in this kingdom. The tradition of a couple for the son of a king is determined through a competition, where everyone fights for a princess from the kingdom of Eartfil. Be it from within the kingdom, adventurers, and princes from other kingdoms had the right to follow him. This has been done for many years, which would judge him to be the king himself where he determines whether or not a person is fit to marry the princess. And now the competition has been reopened after waiting for the princess to grow up. In the city there were many people who saw a sheet that had just been installed by Eartfil soldiers in all parts of the city, there were even kingdoms that had received letters about the competition.
“Hey view... The competition to marry the king's daughter is re-opened.” Said a man who saw a poster on the wall.
“I have to enter that competition and win it..” said a young man with a big body with an axe on his back.
“There will definitely be many strong people gathered, I have to watch this competition.” Said a merchant.
While at the palace of Eartfil, a king who calmly stood on the balcony of the palace with his leisure while watching his beautiful city, which is so beautiful, the breeze of the wind hit his hair and beard that was not too thick brown in color and the brown eyes continued to look straight ahead with a flat look. Not long after a bright red woman appeared with her black eyes, she noticed the king behind her. Her beautiful face looked so beautiful in the eyes, her graceful steps gradually began to approach the king.
“What are you doing my husband, Tenruo?” Ask the woman who is thought to be his wife.
“I'm just watching my kingdom this is my wife, Leuna.” Said Tenruo who turned to look at his sweet-smiling wife towards him.
“Competition to get a prospective husband has been spread throughout the city and outside the kingdom. There have even been some from other kingdoms that responded well to our invitation.” Said Leuna leaning against the chest of the Tenruo field.
“Good news, we just need to prepare everything for the competition another week.” Reply Tenruo.
“But my dear, it looks like our daughter will not stay silent. What if he does something without our knowledge?” ask the worried Leuna.
“Just relax, she's our daughter. I don't think anything bad will happen.” Ternuo replied with a smile.
“Hopefully your words are true.” Reply Leuna.
The highest mountain of Eartfil is very famous for its height that exceeds other mountains. It is even said that this mountain is the highest mountain in the entire kingdom. At its peak was a woman who stared intently at the front with her black eyes. Such a beautiful bright brown mane decomposed gently in the wind. A face that is so beautiful like an angel who just came down from heaven. To the right of her cheek is a sign of a brown dragon emblem that is so unique. In his right hand there is a sword with a brown handle plus a dragon emblem with a bit of chain-shaped carving surrounding the dragon emblem. The brown knight outfit was so suitable to wear with green crystals on his chest. He slowly sheathed the sword back into his brown sword sheath that had a chain emblem everywhere.
“I can feel it, the same presence as me. The same power, destiny will bring us together, because it is already determined.” The girl muttered with a firm tone in each of her sentences.
“Hooaaammm..” Yugi yawns tired who is lying on a swing tied up in two trees. He was waiting for his disciple who was still training to master the devil's eyes. “It looks like there is still no change.” Yugi Mumbles.
While with Vira, she is meditating and focusing on her mana flow. The exercise this time was to bring out the demonic eyes that flowed within his body. The first way taught by Yugi is by flowing mana into his eyes. He said it was the safest way for Vira, because mastering the devil's eye was not as easy as controlling the flow of mana in the body.
‘I might say it too soon, if this way does not work then have to use that way. But the risk is too great, I better not say it.’ Inner Yugi.
“Emmmhhh..” Vira was so hard to drain mana into his eyes, sweat continued to pour in every temple, the look of his face turned very serious with some veins on his forehead.
“Oi oi... isn't he pushing himself too much.” Said Yugi who was starting to worry seeing how hard Vira was in training.
“Eemmhh... Aaaahhhhh Vira started to shout loudly with the flow of mana starting to fall apart. Both of his eyes opened with a red light coming out from his eyeballs. The eyes that were previously fire red were now turning into blood red that was so thick. That uncontrolled force began to rampage and destroy the surrounding environment.
“I was expecting this to happen..” Yugi quickly glued his right palm and began to take out a large amount of mana. “Hold Vira.” A blue magic circle with a snow emblem was formed under Vira. The magic begins to neutralize the previously uncontrolled powers of Vira. Little by little the power that came out of Vira's body began to subside and she fainted at the training ground. “Untung still had time..” muttered Yugi with relief seeing his student was fine. Yugi approached the body of Vira who was already helpless, slowly he carried it ala bridal style. “I don't know until when he will continue to grow this fast. I became worried about his future.” muttered Yugi while bringing Vira to the swing place he previously used and laying it there slowly.
[“What are you worried about?”] ask Yui in Yugi's mind.
“That's how it is, anyway she is a devil's eye witch and half a vampire. The great power within his body must have been due to those two bloods that were already mixed in one body. If he can't control it, then.”.
[“It's been confirmed he will die..”].
After that the conversation of Yui and Yugi came to a halt while watching Vira who was fast asleep on the swing. For Yugi himself Vira is like a little sister he must protect, remembering his dark past without the affection of a father, making Yugi even more want to protect him and give him a safe place to live.
“I will be the place to go home..” muttered Yugi.
It was late afternoon, but the density of the population that was still doing its activities did not decrease in the least, Yugi who was walking with Vira could only be confused when he saw many people gathered at one point. The city of Eartfil is so crowded like there is a carnival in the middle of the city, Yugi who feels curious to break through the sea of humans with difficulty. When he reached the source, he was surprised to see a sheet about the war competition between witches. But what made him even more surprised was his gift where they could marry the master daughter of Eartfil's work. Already satisfied enough to see the source of the crowd, Yugi immediately left from there and returned to where Vira was.
“How?” ask Vira.
“Revealed an announcement regarding a competition..” replied Yugi.
“Competition?” repeat Vira with a big question mark on her head.
“Yes, a hereditary tradition since the first king founded this kingdom.” Said a grandfather who looked so old.
Yugi who heard that was confused about the traditions in this kingdom. “What do you mean grandpa?”
“Usually every prince or princess who has grown up will be married to someone who has won the competition. And this competition has always been different from each successor, but it seems like this competition is not much different from a few years ago since King Tenruo married a woman through a competition between witches. If that's true then this year's competition will be very festive because from every kingdom will also participate. They must have wanted a princess whose beauty was rumored to be matchless. Not inferior to the two princesses of the Northern Esla kingdom who are said to be the angel every man wants.” Clearly the grandfather was holding his long beard.
Inexplicably hearing the two princesses of Northern Esla kingdom made Yugi slightly miss them. Provided that he does not receive a hard blow from teacher Yuko and also Elsa. But for Elna she could imagine how long she had missed when she could not meet him for almost a month. Just thinking about it made Yugi want to go back there, but for now he felt he had to enter the competition.
“Oh yes, he said this year there will be an additional gift in the form of rare objects that are very desirable to many people. But no one knows what the object meant in the previous announcement said by the soldier Eartfil.” Added the grandfather who immediately stepped away leaving Yugi.
“Heard it made me have a strong reason to follow its competition.” Yugi.
“Are you after his daughter's master?” asked Vira who had given off a very thick aura of intimidation.
“B-not so.. aren't you also curious about the mysterious gift. If it is indeed a rare object we should get it.” Yugi replied with a burning spirit.
“As far as you are teacher.” Reply Vira with a tired tone serving her teacher who is always curious about new things.
Evening enveloped the kingdom of Eartfil, at an inn where Yugi spent the night, there was a bright light. It turns out that Yugi is still awake while Vira has been sleeping since. He is writing a letter about his journey to date. The letter was shown to the princess of the Northern Esla kingdom. With a happy smile, Yugi writes every word on the paper with every feeling of longing for someone who has made him fall in love. He did not think that his heart would be gained by two people at once, it also made a feeling of guilt perch in Yugi's heart, maybe it was a punishment for him because he had loved two people at once.
“Completed..” after finishing his letter, Yugi put it in an envelope and stood up and walked towards the exit. Before coming out he had a chance to look at Vira with a warm smile on his face. “I go first Vira..” after that the door was closed slowly so as not to wake his sleeping student.
On the way to Yugi's mailing office saw some people still working and adventurers who were drunk after coming out of the bar. Seeing the drunken man reminded him of the old man who once drank beer in the Northern Esla kingdom, although for some reason he did not remember much of what happened, but Yui told me everything in detail when Yugi got drunk after drinking beer. At that time Yugi thought to no longer drink drinks that could make him drunk. Upon his arrival at the mail office, Yugi handed over his letter to be sent to the Northern Esla kingdom to a woman in charge of receiving the shipment.
‘In each kingdom has a mail delivery place that is tasked to send letters from one kingdom to another kingdom. They have a guideline where the letter is like a life that must be protected until it is in the hands of the recipient. I salute those who are loyal to their work. And I think they're like heroes who connect messages from one person to another. Being a hero not only has to kill monsters to continue to get recognition, but heroes are those who do something good with all their heart and make people feel happy. When you see the happiness of others somehow you are also happy when you see it. Maybe like that.’ Inner Yugi.
Yugi exited the mail delivery office after submitting his letter for delivery. Now he was walking towards the inn earlier until a voice stopped his steps.
“Hey you know, the competition this time is a little different from the previous year.” Said a middle-aged man to a young man who was in front of him.
“I know, he said there is a very mysterious gift. It was said that it was very rare but I do not know what it was.” said the young man.
“I heard the news that it was related to a great style.” Reply middle-aged man.
“I'm curious what it means..”.
“I too..”
Hearing the conversation made Yugi increasingly want to know what is meant by objects related to a style. If it's an heirloom or something, maybe he should get it.
“It's getting interesting, whether it's a secret scroll or an heirloom weapon. I'm getting curious..” muttered Yugi.
[“I feel a bad feeling when you say something like that.”] Yui said.
‘Ayolah... we do not know, after all maybe this is a good thing to test the results of my practice.’ Reply Yugi.
[“Alright..”].
On top of the highest mountain of Eartfil, a woman who was previously on top of the peak was sitting pensively in front of the bonfire. A tent not far from the fireplace, several soldiers were standing guard at their respective posts. The girl's gaze could not be separated from the swords in both of her hands. The ground brown sword that was so sharp and powerful, from that sword emanated a tremendous amount of power. The night was cold despite the fire to warm up, in front of the woman was a middle-aged man with black hair, brown eyes with a few whiskers and a thin beard. His gaze could not be separated from the woman in front of him.
“Why do you look so agitated, what do you think... Lani?” ask the middle-aged man.
“Teacher Tio.. I felt something, he was very close. But I don't know who..” replied Lani with a slightly worried face.
“Just relax, the teacher will always protect you.” Tio said with a warm smile on his face.
“Thank you teacher...” said Lani in a relieved tone.
“It is only natural that a teacher worries his student.” Reply Tio.
This feeling of uneasiness that was approaching me was related to my destiny. The sword I was holding gave me a warmth, the previous anxiety started to dissipate. Under this starry night sky I felt it. If that is true, let the moon shine my way to the destiny that awaits me...
