Chapter 16

"But to be honest, I'm interested at first sight. I tried to fight this thought but still I couldn't. Your shadow always haunts me, Mirna. Please, just give me one chance to prove my feelings for you. Whatever I'll give you, Mirna. Believe me, I don't know why it could be like this either. I just follow my instincts...."

It turned out that Jordy was still good at boasting like a man who was dissatisfied with one woman. It was fitting that Zora was willing to be made an affair and ended up being Jordy's second wife. But, Jordy forgets that Mirna is not Zora who is so easily consumed by his seduction.

"What do you think I'm a girl? I can't possibly play with a fire that will burn myself. And I don't lack anything until I have to accept a gift from someone's husband!"

Mirna pointed at Jordy's chest, pretending to reject Jordy's feelings so that Jordy would go mad, chasing and begging for her love.

"I've been here too long, don't let your wife misunderstand me!" nana said, she ran away from Jordy.

When Nana was about to reach the door, Jordy suddenly hugged her from behind. Nana tries to rebel but Jordy tightens her hug.

"Please give me a chance, if it is Zora who is a barrier between us, then for your sake I will leave him," said Jordy Lirih. He felt dejavu like he had been in this position, like he had embraced this woman, but again Jordy was not sure if this woman was his dead wife.

Nana fell silent, she did not dodge nor did she enjoy this hug. His eyes looked straight ahead, his mind was reflected back when they were husband and wife first. Had Jordy been compassionate and apologized to Nana instead of Mirna, had Jordy never betrayed her and had their child still been in the womb, Nana would have been the happiest woman.

Nana's hands clenched, she disgusted Zora and Jordy's romance in her villa.

"Your wife Nana is no more, do you miss her?"

Jordy placed her chin on Nana's shoulder. "Well, what I feel I want to be around you, I want you to be mine because every time I see you I'm looking at Nana. I know you're different people but, I'm sure God is sending you to me right now."

Nana turned around, she looked at Jordy's eyes. "It never occurred to me that I would be a destroyer of people's households, so you better forget about me. Suppose we never discussed this issue. And remember, our relationship is only limited to coworkers. No more than that."

Jordy disagrees. "If you want, we can try it. If you're afraid I promise no one will know this relationship. What am I supposed to do to make you believe that my feelings aren't fabricated?"

Nana fell silent, thinking maybe this is the right time to trap Jordy. Nana is grateful that the nature of royal Jordy has not changed. He's kind of a guy who's willing to give anything to get other women's sympathy. No matter though it should hurt his own wife.

"Well, I need proof not just words."

Jordy smiled feeling a breath of fresh air. "What kind of evidence?" He asked with a glowing face.

"I want to ... This store is mine. Whatever it is, you want me to pay it or ...."

Nana paused her speech, she tiptoed and whispered in Jordy's ear. "Or you give willingly as a sign of your love for me."

Jordy turned her head to make their eyes meet each other, she smiled but did not answer Mirna's request.

Mirna smiled and returned to her original position, she patted Jordy's arm. "This boutique belongs to your wife Zora, I just want to see which one you choose, the boutique still belongs to Zora or the boutique for Mirna." He rolled his eyes and left Jordy.

"Mr Juna still can't go home, but Miss don't worry because Mr. Juna is fine." Teo answered as is, yes, this man had talked to Juna through a handpone call. He reported Nana's activities even had to send some photos of the woman.

"Who is worried about him? I just feel weird about his attitude, maybe he left but forgot to come home!" Nana leaned back and closed her eyes. "Why hasn't Juna ever picked up my phone?" Nana's voice sounded like she was whispering.

'That's so you miss Arjuna who is taking care of something for Miss.' Teo could only make up his mind because he did not want to ruin Arjuna's plans for Nana.

"Theo...."

"Yes, Miss!"

"You've been reporting on my activities the same way, haven't you?"

"You mean Miss, Mr Arjuna?"

Nana clucked and opened her eyes, she patted Teo's arm. "Who are we talking about?" the upset.

Teo did not react, he just focused on measuring the path.

"Why did Juna let me work alone? What if we pick up Juna now?"

"Mr Juna can't be lugged----

Nana belies Teo's speech. "Oh yeah, you guys are the same. Let me find out for myself!" The problem is that Nana doesn't know where to look.

Somewhere else.

A man in a black shirt standing between a row of tombs that are quite quiet and far from the residential area, he stared at the navel of a person who is quite meritorious in his nose. Arjuna recalls his meeting with the Bramantio businessman who slowly made him what he is today. Yes, before Arjuna was just one of the regular employees in Bramantio's office. The kindness and honesty that Arjuna has made Bramantio interested in making him as a confidant take care of the company even until Bramantio closes his age.

"Nana's fine, sir! She's still as pretty as ever. You do not need to worry because the father's daughter has returned to be a tough woman as you expect."

Juna smiled faintly. "I'm sorry, I haven't told you the truth, Nana doesn't know that I'm the man she used to be betrothed to. I'm too cowardly to tell him the truth."

Yeah, actually Juna's company belongs to Nana's parents. Juna is believed to manage the company as best as possible. Unbeknownst to Nana, Juna is currently taking care of important files to return the company to Nana's name. Juna is not a greedy man who happily rules the company alone. Juna realized, he was already too much indebted to Bramantio during his life. Although the current Nana family does not blame the company in his hands, Juna is still aware that it is not her property. There is still Nana who deserves to be the heir to her family's company.
