DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEGLECTFUL PEOPLE AND INTELLIGENT PEOPLE

الغافل اذا اصبح ينظر ماذا يفعل والعاقل ينظر ماذا يفعل الله

A negligent person starts his day by thinking about what to do. The wise man contemplates what God will do to him - Shaykh Ibn Atha'illah.

My friend, according to Shaykh Abdullah Asy-Sharqawi, the negligent person is the one who forgets about Tawhid and forgets that everything happens in the decree and destiny of Allah. In the morning such a man will preach all his deeds to himself. Then he used to say, "What am I going to do today?" As for a reasonable person, when he wakes up in the morning he is not negligent from monotheism and does not forget that everything happens with the provisions and destiny of God. He also preached all his deeds to Allah. Such a man would say, "What God will do to me today."

A negligent person will always see his or her own abilities. When God burdens him with a work, it will not work. Whereas a reasonable person will only look to his Lord, Allah will fulfill his desires and facilitate all his requests. This is a benchmark so that students can recognize their condition.

The first thing that must be detected in the heart of a student is the level of his monotheism. How large the degree of his monotheism could be seen through the cadre of light that came to him. If from the first moment his heart only looked at his own power and power, then he would be cut off from God. If he comes back to God, he will come to Him.
