I'm Not Your Bridge

I'm Not Your Bridge
Chapter 21

After feeding Nayyara and making sure she took the medicine, Albert intends to go out. But immediately Nayyara stopped her by holding her wrist as if afraid of losing. "don't go, I beg you!" he said softly with a sad eye.

Albert assures that he only goes away for a short while to do the very important thing and will soon return once his affairs are done. Nayyara finally allowed it.

Meet Arfa in the hospital parking lot. Albert asked what he was asking yesterday. "Hows it? Is everything all right?."

"of course! I did it according to what you ordered yesterday. And now he's waiting for you at the office."

Albert smiled satisfied with Arfa's performance. "Good! We're going there now."

Walk with courage. Everyone looked down respectfully at the number one person in the company and this is where the two of them are now, in the room of the president who is on the highest floor of this building.

Aaron instantly got up and bowed giving a hint of respect upon seeing who had come. "Good day, sir! How are you today?" said pleasantries.

Albert ignored Aaron's pleasantry sentence and immediately threw his body in the seat of his greatness. "Just go. No need to make any more pleasantries. I don't have much time for that."

Aaron sat back in his chair. A little wrong with Albert's rejection.

"Arfa, give me the file now!" albert said flat with an expressionless face.

Arfa immediately pulled out the important file Albert had requested from the bag and gave it to Albert.

Albert receives the dossier from Arfa's hand and throws it in front of Aaron. "I don't want to waste any more time. Hurry and sign the dossier now" he said."

"What is this, sir?" asked Aaron confusedly.

"Not much to ask. Quickly sign the file and we'll get everything done now!" albert said back while thrusting a pen at Aaron.

Slowly Aaron opened the beekas and took the pen. But when the file was open, Aaron's eyes were rounded with the splinter look at the writing listed above.

A file bearing the printed divorce document with uppercase letters on the paper. Anyone would instantly know what it contained once they saw it.

"A...pa this means, sir? Do....divorce documents?" aaron asked confusedly and a little nervous.

Albert smiled cynically at Aaron's question. "Not be so surprised. Didn't we both agree yesterday?."

Aaron bowed lethargic at Albert's words. "Today has also arrived. I have to take off Nayyara for a piece of treasure," he murmured softly.

But the sadness on his face was only a moment, because the next second he regained his control and behaved arrogantly. "If I really have to lose Nayyara, then fine! But I will not let my sacrifice go to waste. I'd have to think smarter than Albert if I wanted to get what money I wanted" she said.

Re-stretched the file in front of Albert with a face on the back of a sly smile. "No, sir! I will not sign this file before you give me what you promised me yesterday."

"It turns out you're pretty sneaky too!" albert replied to Aaron with a cynical smile.

"Not crafty, sir, but smart!" reply Aaron. "Don't we have to make the best use of the situation if we want to get what we want!."

"All right then!"

Albert got up from the chair. Walk towards his little safe, hit a combination of numbers, and pull out a file inside.

"Here, please read it yourself!" he said while thrusting the file he issued earlier in front of Aaron.

Aaron received the file and read the contents carefully. Then shortly afterwards a smile full of satisfaction rose at the corner of his lips.

"Hows it? Are you satisfied now?" ask Albert then.

Albert smiled briefly and then sat back in his great chair. "Alright, I'll sign the dossier. But only if you also sign this divorce file."

Exchange files with each other. Albert leaves the divorce papers in his hands, while Aaron passes the ownership files of the company he holds to Albert.

"Arfa, give me your pen!" albert said later.

Arfa hesitates to give her what her best friend asks, but Albert assures her that everything will be fine with a blink of an eye..

Putting signatures on top of both important files. Aaron signs his divorce papers with Nayyara, while Albert signs the transfer of ownership of one of his companies. Then the two of them returned to hand over the signed documents to each other.

Albert smiled with satisfaction at the file he was holding, as did Aaron. Then the two shook hands.

"Thank you very much. With this we no longer have any business," said Aaron.

"Yes, right! And I hope you won't bother Nayyara anymore, or I won't hesitate to finish you off" Albert replied with a piercing eye.

"You just calm down! I won't be idling you or Nayyara anymore."

"I hold on to these words!."

"I'll excuse you then. It's good to work with you!." Then he left Albert's room.

After Aaron left the room, Arfa threw a body in front of his best friend. "Are you sure you let one of your companies go to Aaron?" ask with a serious face.

"Very sure!" albert replied firmly.

"But, isn't this too much?" ask Arfa back. "I mean you've worked hard to build all this. But you easily give it away just for the sake of getting a woman."

Albert smiled faintly at the words of his best friend. "Everything I have is meaningless if Nayyara is not beside me. And for me, it's not an exaggeration."

Arfa raises both shoulders up. "As far as you are! I just reminded you.

Walk to his vault and keep the divorce papers there all right. "Nayyara is everything to me. You'll understand what I'm doing now when you find your soulmate" he said, without looking back at his best friend.

Arfa was getting more and more confused to see the way his best friend thought. "Love is blind. And sometimes it will drive people crazy. That's why I don't want to fall in love."

"Don't say that. With love, our lives will become more colorful."

"As far as you are. I don't want to be crazy like you."

Albert laughed out loud at the words of his best friend. "And you're gonna be a karate singles for life."

"Damn you!" cebik Arfa with Albert's arm.

Albert walked to the door with a laugh that had not stopped, not caring about the annoyance on his best friend's face.

"Hey, where are you going?" shouted Arfa.

"I'm going out!"

"But after this we have a meeting."

"You take care of it! I want to meet my soulmate" Albert said, passing by, no matter how angry Arfa was.
