I Love You, Mother Teacher

I Love You, Mother Teacher
The Part 57

"Are there no apologies for me?" alex asked with a broken feeling. The man never imagined his wife would file for divorce in a religious court.

Raka and Shofie could only quietly watch the interaction of mother and father before her eyes. Both feel anxious that there will be a fight or jotos, considering that the mother is very skilled in martial arts even though at the age of no longer young.

Ary was walking towards a desk not far from the television table in the living room. The middle-aged woman took out a new piece of HVS paper. He carried the paper very carefully in front of Alex.

"See this paper. Today this paper is like the beginning of our marriage, and then came mama with a woman to be his daughter-in-law. Remember that? Though at that time you have married me, even I have just given birth to twin boys." Ary stopped his words, but his hand squeezed the corner of the paper.

Furthermore Ary continued to say while squeezing every corner of it. Every word is a wound he got during his marriage to Alex. Lastly he rolled the paper in his grasp and then squeezed the paper firmly while saying.

"You share a sweat with a woman who doesn't have a marriage bond with you. You do it in front of your own child! Now this is how our marriage is!" Ary showed the paper in his grasp.

"No! This is not only the state of the marriage but also my heart. The question is, can this paper be what it was? Clean white smooth without any traces."

Alex tears her eyes every time Ary points out the mistakes he's made. Regretting. That's how he feels right now.

"You are mature and sensible. You should know what your mother did was a sin. Not only in my belief, in your religious belief it is a sin. But why do you keep doing it?"

Ary walked towards the window not far from where he was standing.

"All religions do not teach us to hurt our life partners. I don't mind if you want to go back to your faith. But you've blatantly betrayed this marriage. Do I have to be quiet until death picks me up?" ary asked what he should do.

Alex rested at Ary's feet, then hugged the leg of the ladder with tears breaking.

"I'm sorry. Sorry...."

Alex still apologized by crying while hugging Ary's legs, while the woman was just silent not budging at all. Not caring about Alex who kept roaring and crying apologized.

Seeing how his mother told him one by one the pain he got during his marriage with his father, and how the father's crying. Shofie approached the two, then hugged the mother with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Mommy's great! Mommy strong! Mommy can get through this. God will not sleep to see his servant hurt for so long" Shofie said in between sobs.

Raka immediately approached his crying wife hugging her mother. He did not want to see the wife grieving for fear of having an effect on her child in the womb.

"Darling, don't cry anymore! Poor baby's grandpa must be sad. We just pray the best for mommy and daddy," said Raka full of gentleness.

"Daddy is evil, Raka. You don't be bad like daddy. You have to promise!" screams Shofie while changing hugging the husband tightly.

Shofie's scream was so strong that it was heard in Mr. Chandra's room so he was curious about what happened in the family room. He asked to be taken out of his room. By walking limped and assisted by Anggita and his wife Mr. Chandra approached the family of his former daughter-in-law.

Shofie invites Raka to sit in front of the grandfather. Then, he told her what he just knew. Everything he tells without reducing or adding so that the truth is guaranteed.

After hearing the story of his favorite granddaughter, suddenly Mr. Chandra held his chest tight.

"W-what's that right, Ary?" asked Mr. Chandra stammered because his chest was so tight.

Ary hurriedly approached the former in-law whom he had already considered to be his own father. The woman rested at Mr. Chandra's feet apologizing for disappointing the elderly man.

"Whoever grab a stethoscope!" yelled Ary while leaning Mr. Chandra's body on the back of the sofa, then unbuttoned his shirt.

Ary began to examine her former in-laws carefully. After he finished checking, he suggested that Mr. Chandra be taken to the hospital only.

"I'm fine. Now solve your problems, I want to rest in the room," said Mr. Chandra lirih who can still be heard clearly by them.

Mr. Chandra was brought into the room by being carried by Raka assisted by the workers in the house.

"Ary, is there no more sorry for me?" alex asked as soon as the room was quiet as they drove Mr. Chandra to his room.

"I'm sorry? I've forgiven you long before you apologized to me. Like the paper I showed you, that's what I'm doing right now. Forgiveness can be but the former can never be lost" Ary replied plainly.

"I don't want us to separate. I want to age with you, with our children. I promise I won't hurt you again...."

"I'm in menopause, you better find a woman who can serve you any time you need," Ary cut quickly.

"I don't need that. I've had a stroke. I just want us to grow old together, happy until death do us part" Alex said quickly because he knew which way the woman he still considered his wife was talking.

"You have to get married again if you want to be together. I don't let you guys be together without a bond!" shofie said chimed when he heard the father's words.

"Married if different beliefs remain the same Shof. So, it's better to walk alone." Ary remained on his decision.

"I'll follow your faith so we can get married and stay together."

"I don't want you to feel guilty for leaving your faith again. Confidence is not a toy that can be taken and abandoned when bored. Since I never asked you to follow my beliefs," said Ary coldly, he was really upset by Alex's attitude that has always been like that since long ago.

Alex promises that this is the last time he enters a new faith and abandons an old one. He really did not want to part with the woman who had accompanied him in the joys and sorrows of decades.

"Sister Ary! Papa, Brother!" call Anggita in a panic from inside the father's room.
