Husband Who Is Always Humiliated

Husband Who Is Always Humiliated
Part 3's. Not Having Adab

I accidentally entered Mom's house through the back door that went straight to the kitchen. Avoiding my brothers who are still gathered in the living room.

I saw only my own mother who was busy cooking in the kitchen. Poor to see, this much work you have to do alone. My two sisters did not have the heart and the mind, the heart to let Mom cook alone, but strangely, Father always flattered them. While I am always relied on by my mother when she was busy or there was a big event at home, it was always sung with spicy words, especially if not about my husband, Bang Riswan.

Below near the kitchen door are two slaughtered roosters that have not been plucked.

"Mommy?" call me slowly from the front door. Mother who was busy cooking rendang seasoning, turned a glance at me.

"Please chicken mamma ya, Ris."

"Yes, Mommy." I went straight in and cooked some water, to soak the slaughtered chickens so that it would be easy to pluck the feathers. While waiting for the water to cook, I sat down next to Mom, taking a short bench made of boards that were only as high as the eyes of the foot, "jojodok" the name that our villagers said to call the short bench.

"Riss?" mother asked, as her hands continued to stir the rendang seasoning in the frying pan.

"What, Mom."

"I'm sorry mom, yeah," he said slowly.

"Sorry for what, Mom?" I asked, while chopping the potatoes that have been peeled into four parts for the rendang mixture.

"Because you can't defend yourself, when insulted by your father and other brothers, other than just asking you to always give in" replied Mother slowly, while putting pieces of meat into the frying pan. His eyes I see glazing.

"Yes, Mom, it's okay, Risma understands Mom's situation," I said slowly, still continuing to cut potatoes.

Mother is indeed typical of ancient village women, who always give up and just obey what the Father said. During my stay in this house, Mother always did, to avoid the commotion in the household between her and the Father.

The father who always feels right, and wants to win himself in everything, is inversely proportional to the mother who just silence and many succumb.

I know very well if Mother harbored the mind all this time for the selfish nature of the Father, including when you once married a widow of two children, neighbors of the village not far from the village border.

Although it did not last long, only about two years, when finally you leave the woman just because of her many requests.

I was in 2nd grade Junior High. Mother who heard the news of the marriage siri father, just silence, not reprimanding or angry with the Father. but I often see him crying silently in this kitchen while cooking for his father and children. This kitchen room is a witness to Mom expressing her pain and heartache.

My mother is exactly the same nature as Bang Riswan, better to shut up and give up, so I often feel sorry for my mother, in the face of the proud father nature. The father when he was young was a land broker and pesawahan, often holding large amounts of money if the land or rice fields he interraceded sold. Therefore, it is very arrogant, because it often holds a lot of money, and is often called people and citizens with the call of a lawyer.

"Hisma!" mom's little loud reprimand surprised me.

"Eh, yes, what Mak," I replied, a little hesitation.

"That's the water you've been cooking, has been turbulent (boiling) since then," he said. I chuckled, got up to raise the water and brought it near the kitchen door, and began to dip the two slaughtered chickens.

"Riss?" mother asked again, while I was plucking one by one chicken feathers.

"What, Mom."

"It's okay Ris, if we take a patient stance and give in to avoid disputes and debates," said the mother, while putting pieces of potato into the frying pan.

"Risma's been giving up too long, Mom. Not that they even realized, it was even more so," I argued slowly.

"But it's not nice, Ris, if the neighbors hear it. Same brother himself and I keep making a fuss."

"Risma also actually does not want to make a fuss, Mak. Mom, I can see, if Risma has always been quiet and relented, but Risma also has a heart, Mak. Pain or Mak, if every moment is always insulted and humbled continue," I explained slowly.

Mom was silent, maybe she was thinking to herself. Decades of marriage with the father, always be the party who succumbed, just to avoid commotion and infighting. Even though I knew it was the wrong Father, it was still my mother who gave up.

'Pity, Mother' lamented in my heart.

By noon, around 11:00. Kang Darman's family arrived from Jakarta in two cars. My eldest brother and his wife seemed to be riding in his children's car.

Kang Darman's two children are all girls, just like me. She has one grandchild from her first child, while her second child was just married six months ago. We were all his family in the village and went all the way to Jakarta at that time.

The cuisine that I and my mother have prepared since dawn has all been served in the family living room. The living room and terrace of the house are quite large, able to accommodate all members of the large family.

"Where are your husband and children, Ris, how come you don't look?" kang Darman asked, as we were about to start eating together.

"Teh Risma mah, her husband does not want to get along with family, Kang, always avoids having a gathering event like gini," said Ela, snatching Kang Darman's speech. But it was not responded to by my eldest brother.

"Is it home, Kang?" reply slowly.

"Call me, Ris, let me eat together here," said Kang Darman.

"Let's just Kang, at most the Risma has been wrapped to take home," said Kang Amran. In my heart I can only stroke my chest.

"Ical, please call Riswan here, just say uwa." Kang Darman told Kang Amran's eldest son, my nephew, to call my husband.

"Well, Wa," Ical replied, directly running out of the house.

"It seems like a general, until it has to be called" said the father.

"Have eaten first, why wait to eat only for the unimportant!" ketus Bapak, then took a plate and immediately scooped rice from the bamboo basket, followed by my brothers who did not like Bang Riswan. I saw Kang Darman as if sighing, my first brother had just scooped rice in a different basket, followed by his wife, son, and daughter-in-law.

"Why don't you eat, Risma?" tanya Teh Uni, my sister-in-law, wife of Kang Darman. He wanted to put a rice spoon in his mouth.

"Nan-"

"Teh Risma mah has been misahin first, Uni Tea, for the husband and children, we only eat the rest," said Samsiah, directly pierced to the heart. Cut my words.

I want to feel my sister's hair with a sharp mouth because of all her slander. My chest began to feel hot, Mother who sat next to me then rubbed my thigh slowly, intending to spread out

"Well, if it's really okay, right, as far as I know it's just Risma who likes to help Mom in the kitchen," said Kang Darman, defending me. The faces of Ela and Samsiah looked sullen.

"Risma never misahin food, my own mother who deliberately packaging for him and his children," said his mother, defending me. "Pity, 'will be tired of cooking in the kitchen, '" explained Mother again.

"Emak is always different treatment if with Risma," said evil Amran accused Mother. Now the mother who immediately fell silent, because it was considered to distinguish her children.

"Listen to Sawiyah, do not like different children so!" sentak. "Finally, shame, 'could be the same as a child's diceplosin." Mother's face looks sad, she immediately lowered her head.

"Already, the gathering event really, even so noisy like this," said Kang Darman.

Ical, who had been told to call my husband, went straight into the house.

"Where are the employees, Cal?" Ical replied while slightly panting, it seemed like he had run away.

"By the way here, Wak, we'll be here soon."

"Assalamualaikum" said my husband's greeting from the door, holding and guiding my two children.

Father and three brothers who did not like Bang Riswan, they just indifferently did not answer the prayer greetings from my husband, turned their heads not.

Bang Riswan began to enter, just two steps closer to Kang Darman, Mr. returned to talk.

"Riswan, the Risma, ' will have packed and misahin food for you, so well no longer need to eat together here, either, just ask the same Risma rice and side dishes that he had wrapped earlier," said the father. Looked reddened my husband's face for holding in shame.

"Okay, sir," answered my husband slowly, while my tears began to expand. It was painful and heartless to see the father of my children humiliated like that. Kang Darman and Teh Uni, as well as his two children, who are also the grandchildren of the Father, look confused, hearing his grandfather's sharp remarks towards Bang Riswan.

"Let's just say, sir, there's a lot of food available" Kang Darman said.

"Yes, please eat, if you have no shame," said the father again, my husband just lowered his head, then turned his head and sat down next to me. Kang Darman who seemed to be unwell because he had offered Bang Riswan a meal, then scooped rice and side dishes for my husband.

Bang Riswan tried to resist, perhaps out of shame to hear the words of the Father, but my eldest brother was still pushy. Bang Riswan finally took the rice that Kang Darman had offered.

"Here, just eat Riswan, side dishes that have been wrapped, will be able to make dinner later, said Kang Amran.

"Yes, they rarely, ever eat well" said Ela, laughing at Bang Riswan. My tears are rising. It feels like my husband was degraded like that.

Bang Riswan turned his head towards me, looking at me with a sad look, whispering softly in my ear." Believe in your husband, Neng, someday they will receive his reward, for hurting your heart. Prepare yourself to act later."

I looked at his face, there was a murmur in his eyes. I myself do not understand and understand what his words mean like a threat. His words were the same as when I had just known him, seemed stiff and firm, I had not heard Bang Riswan speak so convincingly.

"If they had, I'd have more heart, Bang. Shouldn't the arrogant be reciprocated also with pride," I whispered also slowly to near Bang Riswan.

"When the wheel of our lives turns, Bang, yes" I said again, slowly, while removing the clear grain that had fallen.

"I'm sorry, brother, Neng. It turns out that the life changes that brother lived, even make Eneng suffer," he whispered again.

"What life changes, Bang, what changes in your life?" I asked, whispering to my husband.

"If you don't like it, just talk directly, don't whisper in the back" Samsiah told me and Bang Riswan. Father, Kang Amran, and Ela looked at me suspiciously.

"Don't get used to Suudzon, Siah, just let them whisper to each other, they are, 'husband and wife, '" said Kang Darman.

Samsiah looked belligerent, got a reprimand from Kang Darman, it seemed like she did not like it if our first brother stood up for me continuously.

"But it's inappropriate, Man, people like this talk a lot in secret, there is no manners," said the father, now the smiling Samsiah, because he was always defended by the Father.

Bang Riswan clasped my finger tightly, as if to strengthen. I returned his grasp, in lieu of words if I would not leave him.

Bang Riswan, not even a mouthful of food given by Kang Darman, the rice and side dishes were fed to our children, Yuli and Neti. My husband seemed to be rethinking his patience and succumbing to my family. Especially now that my husband knows, that there is a great effort from my family to separate him from me and his children.

The meal together was done, again my mother and I were busy tidying up their food marks. Sometimes I like to not think about my attitude. His eyes could clearly still see, still able to see who was the busiest if there was an event in this house. But it was always only Ela and Samsiah that he defended. With me and my family, you look really hateful. And for one reason only, he hated our poverty.

As a routine for sure, if we are a big family is gathering, then each of us always tell about all the busy work.

It's about success, and what they have. Tohir and Gufron, the husband of Ela and Samsiah, tell us about their busy lives as plantation foremen at a modern tea processing plant in our village, also their ambition to get a higher position in the tea processing plant where they work.

Kang Amran also told me about his great advantages as a waste reservoir for the tea factory, as well as his ambition to become a supplier/supplier of paperboard to PT Teh the largest in the province. He also told me if he had bribed people in order to further smooth his plan.

I look happy when I listen to all of their stories.

Kang Darman, and his daughters and daughters-in-law also told him about their respective activities. They all talk about the success they have achieved.

"What are you doing now?" ask Kang Darman to my husband.

"I, Ka-"

"Its unemployment is like her, where there are stories to be proud of" he told my husband.

"It can't be, sir," said Kang Darman, trying to remind him.

"Can't why? Indeed, in fact the husband of the Risma is unemployed, really!" jolt Father, hard.

"Even though we are poor and lacking, but Bang Riswan and I, never bothered my brother, Kang Darman, what else to ask for" I said, explaining, I can't stand not talking either.

"Not yet, just look later if the children of Tea Risma sick, surely also later the brothers are also being asked for loans," said Ela to me, even sounding like she was swearing at my children.

"God willing, will not" quickly answered Bang Riswan.

"Alahhh, arrogant you Riswan, I swear to let your son be sick, want to know, really not later your words!"

"Mr ....!!'" My heart aches to hear the words of the Father, even so hate him with Bang Riswan, to the point of cursing his own grandchildren.

"However, you once cursed your own grandchildren, just because you hate Bang Riswan." My emotions are starting to peak again.

"Finally, your husband's mouth was so arrogant that he said he wouldn't." Bang Riswan slightly pressed my hand slowly, reminding me not to serve you.

"Linda and Yuni, two children Kang Darman fun to talk to each other about online news that they read through the news agency via mobile phone.

"Hey, these two people are busy alone" Kang Darman told his children.

"Iniloh, well, there's interesting news about this conglomerate," Linda explained, all of us who have stopped for a moment in conversation, so focus on listening to Linda's words.

"What's the conglomerate, Nda?" ask Darman again."

"It hurts well, badly he said, and is now being treated at Omni hospital in Jakarta.

"Which conglomerate?" ask Kang Darman again.

"That's well, Muchtar Kusumateja, the owner of the Niskala Corporation group. The fifth richest man in the country." Kang Darman, Mr. Kang Amran who is sometimes in business, must know the name Muchtar Kusumateja. Owners of many large businesses. His business field moves in all sectors, from hotels, expeditions, factories, to search for produce, such as coal, oil, and many more areas of his business.

"The tea leaf processing company where we work is also still owned by Mr. Muchtar Kusumateja" explained Tohir, Ela's husband.

"The luxurious residence Paradise Garden in the district city still has Mr. Muchtar" said Gufron.

"If the fifth richest man in this country, if his hundred thousand dollars are lined up from here, it might reach Jakarta" Kang Darman joked, laughing heartily.

"Neng, brother go home first yes, nitip Yuli same Neti," said Bang Riswan, somewhat whispering, I just nodded.

"You want to bring the rice that has been wrapped in Mother does not Bang? Brother, haven't you eaten yet?" offering my husband food to take home, whispering also in my man's ear.

"No need, Neng."

"Emak, Kang Darman, Uni Tea, Yuli, Linda, please come home first." Pamit Bang Riswan, but not to the Father, Kang Amran, Ela, Samsiah, and their husbands, as if Bang Riswan thought they were never in front of his eyes. My husband turned around to go home.

"The bottom of the ghost has no brain! There is no adab! Damn you!" maki, sir, feels not considered. You really look very angry.

"Poor alone, belagu ....!"
