The clock has shown at 16:15 when Aya gets home. It was quiet because Bi Ning had been gone since noon. The driver also went straight home after picking up Alea and Akbar this afternoon. So Aya went home on the bus and stopped at the front stop of the complex.
"Just come home, brother?" ask someone.
Aya turned her head and saw Akbar who was sleeping on the sofa in front of the television. "Huh?" ask Aya. Still surprised because Akbar asked him.
"New home? How late afternoon?"
"Hah.oh.iya, the bus came a long time ago," replied Aya. He took off the shoes he was wearing and threw his bag on one of the sofas.
"Bi Ning was out, if sister Aya wants to eat, Bi Ning cooked this afternoon. Stay heated, because he said Aya kak only want to eat right afternoon doang," explained Akbar.
Aya nodded. "Where's alea?"
"Go, the same thing."
Again Aya just nodded. Don't know what to answer. The awkward atmosphere between the two of them.
Aya spread her gaze. Glancing at Akbar who was again busy with his cellphone. Aya bit her lips. He hesitated to ask the question he wanted to ask Akbar.
"Ehmm, Akbar.it's uhmm... Ivan is home?" ask Aya slowly.
Akbar put down his phone and then got up to sit down. He looked at Aya who now looked wrong. Aya could see a faint smile on Akbar's lips.
"Not yet, maybe hang out first," Akbar replied still with a smile on his lips.
Aya grew even more misbehaved as Akbar continued to look at her with a seductive look. He immediately got up from his seat and took his bag and shoes.
"Okay, I'll go to the room first."
After saying so, Aya immediately fled upstairs. Along the way keep cursing Akbar in heart. What did that smile mean? Aya was just asking about Ivan coming home or not, right? I guess there's nothing wrong. Then why is Akbar smiling like that? Is Aya's feeling for Ivan obvious?
Arriving in the room, Aya immediately took a shower and changed into more comfortable clothes. Forgetting his hunger and thinking he'll be at dinner later. In his heart Aya was determined not to ask anything more about Ivan to Akbar.
...........
Tok tok tok tok
Aya opened her eyes slowly when she heard a brutal knock on her bedroom door. Aya glanced at the wall clock. At 18:45. Aya got up. He nodded slowly because he fell asleep. Then hurriedly opened the room door.
"Hmm, I guess dead," Alea quipped as soon as Aya opened her bedroom door.
"Drowsy after bathing earlier," said Aya while grinning the horse.
"I'm a laper and there's only Akbar downstairs, damn it," Alea said.
"Ivan hasn't come home yet?"
"I don't know yet, the bike isn't in the garage."
Aya let out a slow breath. Wondering why Ivan hasn't gotten home yet. Though as far as Aya knows, the clock back to his High School and Ivan High School is the same at half-four. But Ivan usually played first with his friends and just came home at five in the afternoon. But now it's almost seven o'clock in the night and Ivan hasn't come home yet.
"Hanging out with Arial" Alea chirped as she looked at Aya daydreaming.
"Dih, pretentious," snorted Aya.
"Well, brother Ivan if you don't go with brother Arial, who else? Their soulmate tuh," Alea replied.
"It's 7 o'clock, still hanging out?"
"I don't know, bodo. I'm laper, hunt down. I've been waiting for you too" Alea said and then turned to go to the first floor.
Aya walked straight towards the dining room. There was Alea and Akbar who were silent to each other. Akbar looks busy playing online games on his HP. While Alea secretly stole a glance towards Akbar.
"Oh, sister Aya. We ate the vegetables that Bi Ning cooked this afternoon papa, right?" Akbar put down his HP and looked at Aya who was still standing at the end of the stairs.
Aya walked closer. He nodded slowly and had no intention of commenting. Unconsciously his eyes continued to stare towards the front door. Still hoping that Ivan would come home and emerge from behind the door.
"Ehmm..why don't we eat first?" ask Aya. I didn't expect many people to hear. He sat himself beside Alea.
"Yes if I am, yes" sneered Alea. He picked up the plate and began to take the rice.
"What does he do, bi?" hiss Aya whispered to Alea. Make no mistake, Aya called Alea with the name 'Bi' that means shortness of 'Pig'
"Sir Ivan must have eaten outside really," Akbar said casually as he chewed his food.
"Huh?" pekik Aya was surprised.
"If Brother Aya is worried because brother Ivan has not come home, just calm down. Brother Ivan told me that he was playing at his house. And maybe you ate there too" Akbar replied. He was still busy with his food and said that without even looking at Aya.
Aya nodded stiffly. He settled down Alea who was now also staring at him.
"Haha.mampus," Alea whispered with a mocking smile.
..........
The clock shows at 19:30. After the awkward dinner earlier, Aya immediately washed the dishes they had eaten. Letting Akbar go and restrain Alea to help him. It is not favoritism, but it would be uncomfortable if Akbar had to join the two of them.
After washing the dishes, now Aya was relaxing in the front room. He fell asleep on the couch playing HP. While Alea sat cross-legged on the carpet and watched TV while eating a snack.
This is Aya's real wits. He deliberately forced Alea to accompany him in the front room. They also never watch TV and prefer to be in the room while playing HP. But because Ivan had not yet returned home, Aya took the initiative to wait for the man's return in the front room.
"Well!" Aya sighed violently and then rose from her originally sleeping position. Alea who saw that only glanced at a glance. Already too memorized by Aya's behavior.
"Where is he, anyway? What time is it? I don't think I'm worried about what?" sulk Aya. He turned his head towards Alea who was still busy with the TV screen without caring about it.
"Ishh, Ivan tuh, forgot that he lived here what, anyway? I'm worried, anjir. Kangen too, hikss..," Aya's monologue once again. Little hope that Alea would respond. But nil, Alea did not care about Aya at all.
"Al!" shout Aya. Upset at being ignored by Alea.
"What?" replied Alea lazily. Still with his eyes on the TV screen.
"Where's ivan? I'm worried, you know" whined Aya slowly while pursing her lips.
Alea glanced at Aya lazily, then her hand raised pointing at the door. "No, he."
Aya turned towards the entrance. There was already Ivan who was now staring at him flatly. The guy still wears his school uniform and his chocolate hoodie. Just like when I left school this morning. His left hand was holding his school bag. In his right hand was a cigarette.
Ivan smokes his cigarette casually then walks through the front room without turning his head in the direction of Aya. Perfectly ignoring Aya who had been waiting for him from earlier.
Aya was in her place. He looked up at the stairs and confirmed that Ivan had gone up. After being convinced, he instantly shook Alea's brutal body.
"Ivan didn't listen when I said I was worried about him, right?" ask Aya. It was so stupid that he did not hear the sound of Ivan's motorbike.
Alea shrugged, "No idea, anyway. The solution when brother Aya said that cake earlier, brother Ivan already came."
"****!" aya Umpat. He was embarrassed to hear what Ivan had said.
"Udah, right? Ivan's brother has come home, so I'm going back to the room." Alea turned off the TV and left Aya.
"Al, heh, wait!"
