Keeping A Secret

The chirping birdsong was clearly heard from behind the shade of trees in the courtyard of Nia's boarding room. The sun coming in from the cracks of the room hood provides warmth throughout the room. Ardi opened his eyes slowly, he turned his body to the side where his beloved wife was still sleeping with her peaceful face. Ardi gave a warm kiss on Tania's forehead. He wakes up and cleans himself in the bathroom. She found her clothes in the closet. Then head to the kitchen and boil some hot water, making two glasses of hot jasmine tea for the two of them.

"You're still not well, honey?" ardi asked as he rubbed Tania's cheek which had just opened her eyes.

Ardi who had woken up first deliberately did not wake his beloved wife, he did not have the heart to see the peaceful face of Tania who was asleep.

"Mas ..." call Tania soft.

"Hmmm..."

"I'm hungry"

"Hungry?"

"Yes ... Hungry" Tania rested her head on Ardi's shoulder spoiled.

"We're sending orders, baby?"

"Yes, Mas. I want to eat something fruitful and savory. Kind of a soft meat soup, Mas"

"Then?"

"Sweet bread and sweet fruit"

"Sweet bread and sweet fruit? Are you sure you want to eat that early, baby?"

"I want it, buy it Mas .." said Manja Tania.

"Alright, we'll order the meat soup at my restaurant. It's delicious, honey. We just ordered sweet bread and sweets"

Tania nods her head, embraces Ardi's arm and rests her head on her husband's shoulder. Ardi was a little surprised by his wife's indulgence today, he thought maybe because they hadn't seen him for a long time so Nia became very spoiled for him.

An hour later all orders were received. Tania devoured everything deliciously, huh... The pleasure her husband gave her.

"Pell-panky, baby, you'll choke. I'm so glad to see you come back this cheerful"

Ardi looked astonished at Nia's appetite today. Nia ate very well. But in his heart was happy to see his beloved woman returned cheerful and smiling.

"Mas .." called Nia to her husband after eating.

"Yes, dear. .." replied Ardi gently.

"certain. What's up, baby?!"

Ardi shook his seat. Tania embraces Ardi's neck from behind, Ardi looks surprised but he is happy with his wife's treatment.

"Mas, if I were far away from Mas Ardi, would I miss you?"

"Why do you ask me that, honey?" asked Ardi while furrowing his brows

"It's okay, Mom. I just want to know how Mas Ardi feels"

"Of course I'll miss you, baby. Honestly, even a day I don't feel like I can get away from you. I'd go crazy if I didn't meet you"

"What is that dear, Mas Ardi to me?"

"What should I do to prove my love and affection for you, dear?"

"Will Mas Ardi keep the love and affection of Mas if we are far apart?!"

"I'll never change. I will remain your Mas Ardi as you know it today. I'll still be your husband who will protect and take care of you with all my life, dear. So please stop asking me what scares me" Ardi said.

"Fear?!" ask Nia.

"Hearing your words scares me, honey. I'm afraid that you're really going to get away from me. If that happens, half of my life will be gone. I'll look for you to any end of the world. I'll get you back in my arms, honey"

For a moment Tania looked at the face of her heavenly man fixedly, she brought her face closer to Ardi, close even closer. Her tiny lips began to invite Ardi's lips to play with agility. And Ardi's lips answered the challenge. This time Nia started it first, it felt like she wanted to ask the strength of her dear man. The power to survive.

"Today you're spoiled dear? What's up?" ask Ardi.

"There's nothing, Mom. I just miss Mas Ardi. Shouldn't I indulge in Mas Ardi?"

"Of course I can. Very well. I like you spoiled like this. So sweet and adorable in my eyes. This is what will make me miss you later, baby"

Ardi was only a three-day maper in Nia's place. And for three days they made the best use of that togetherness. Nia didn't mention a single thing about her pregnancy. Ardi also did not understand the condition of his wife. He thought Tania was only less fit as a result of pushing her energy to complete her script.

"I'll go first, baby. Take good care of yourself. Take care of your health, yes dear .." said Ardi in the morning when he was leaving for his office.

"Mas, don't worry. I'll be fine. Mas Ardi also take care of himself and health there. I'll wait for Mas Ardi to return"

Today he would return to Rachell, three days for him were too short to make up for all that longing, whether he could be with Tania again. And for sure Rachell would be mad at him if Rachell found out he was with Nia here.

Five days after Ardi's last arrival, Nia received no news from the man. Today Tania was supposed to be graduating, but she did not come to attend her happy day. For him now his happiness is the presence of prospective children in the womb. And she didn't tell her husband about college either. He only asks Ardi to stay with Rachell, for the sake of the integrity of the mad woman's household.

He knew he was the one who came into the lives of both of them. It was she who made Ardi turn away from Rachell who was married to her husband first.

The door was knocked down loudly. Tania woke up from her daydream.

Again, the sound of the knocking was getting louder. Nia got up from her seat slowly and rushed to open the door, and how surprised she was to see who had appeared from behind the door. His face suddenly pale, there was a bad feeling about the arrival of the guest who was unfamiliar to him. But he tried to remain calm to welcome the presence of the man.
