I was an orphan, ever since I was a baby I lived in an orphanage. The head of the parlour said, I was left in the baby basket. Just a piece of paper with a name on it. And yeah, that's the name I've been using up until now. Adelia, that's the name written on the paper left in the basket with me when I was a baby.
If anyone asks me what I expect every year, I'm just hoping to get a family. Although many say if we are adopted, we are not made a family. We are only used as free helpers, sometimes we are also not fed enough.
Some adopted and repatriated children say so, some add that the adoptive parents beat them up, even though they do not know where the mistake they have made. But I still wish I had a family. Getting love from mom and aya, as well as affection from sister. Uhh, it would have been so happy had it come true.
Maybe because I never gave up hope and kept praying the same thing over and over again. One morning the head of the parlor called me. Oops, I forgot to tell you how old I am. Now I'm eight years old, for the physical features, yeah .. Like any other not-so-kept orphanage kid, I have brownish skin, long hair that's a little rough. The rest I feel myself quite clean because I take a shower every day.
"You call me, chief mother?" ask me who of course after knocking on the door and allowed to enter.
"Oh, come in, come in! Sit down and wait a minute, yeah!" I nodded, and I saw my head take care of the papers on his desk.
Adelia sat quietly, her eyes glancing at the various corners of the parlour headroom. He was amazed by the spacious and clean room he was in. Especially when he heard the sound of the clock, so orderly as the beautiful music harmony.
After a long wait, the head of the parlour put down his pen. "So this is Adel, I'm calling you to ask me one thing?!" said the head of the parlor propping his chin up in the hand.
Adelia nodded in understanding. "And what do you want to ask, chief?" reply the boy politely.
"Do you still want to have a family, even if it's only temporary, Adel?" ask the head of the parlor carefully.
Once again Adel nodded, this time he nodded faster and was very enthusiastic. "Of course, even if it's just a day doesn't matter to me!" the little girl was sure.
Now it is the turn of the head mother who nodded in satisfaction. "Alright," added the head of the parlor happy.
"You heard yourself what this little girl said just now, didn't you, sir?" the head of the home stared at the door. There was already a tall man wearing expensive clothes. Adelia had no idea what the name of the shirt was, she had only seen it on television. Such clothes are worn to go to big parties.
"Yes, and I will deliver to my master soon. I hope you wait a few more days, lady! No, I'll try tomorrow I'll be here again with my master." Adelia was a little disappointed at first, but she nodded after hearing this promise of the man in front of her. He still had the hope this grown man before him gave him.
"I will wait and wait until you come, sir!" reply Adel quickly.
"I'm sorry then." The man simply disappeared, as if he had never existed before. Adel was a little surprised and also amazed.
"Don't be too surprised, the guy had some good stuff to do a little bit of a show like that, Adel!" obviously the head mother made Adel nod in understanding.
"Yes, go back to your room. Remember not to say anything to your other friends!" continued.
That night Adel could not close his eyes, he impatiently waited for the sun to rise. "Family, I hope this time I get it. Even if only for a moment," said Adel with his mouth evaporated wide. The little girl's eyes were watery, she closed her eyes when the drowsiness was no longer restrained.
Adel woke up early, he smiled widely while holding his fingers. Restless is sure. Fear of hope, that too. But Adel didn't want to give up, he really wanted a family.
Yesterday's man came with someone. He looked taller and whiter than the man he met yesterday. "You, really came!" adel said with teary eyes.
"Today I haven't introduced my name, have I? Ekhem, then, my name is Leonardo, the lady can call me Leo." the man named Leo smiled warmly.
"And this one is my master, his name is Richard, his nickname is Richi" Leo joked.
"Don't say shit to a kid, Leo!" said the man named Richard in a flat voice that seemed evil.
"Ha-ha-ha, sorry sir. I just want to make the lady more comfortable, so I'm a little joking," Leo said with a stiff smile.
Richard silently did not respond, he looked straight at Adel. "So, he's the one who should be my son, even though I've never been married?" tanyanya flat.
"As you can see, sir!" reply Leo quickly.
"You just know enough, I'm not a friendly person who can have a soft voice and so on. So, do not whine just because of trivial problems," explained Richard while looking straight at Adel.
"Sir, you were a little rude just now!" leo reminded.
Richard shrugged his shoulders indifferently. "She has to get used to being a lady in the Pratama family" he said.
"So ..., are you going to be my family?" ask Adel expectantly.
"That's what's happening now, even if I don't know when."
Adel was weak. "So, it's only temporary. I'll definitely be returned, won't I?" thought Adel with a frown.
"No matter how temporary, I hope we become a warm family, sir!" Adel straightened his head, he smiled broadly at Richard.
"Dad! From now on call me 'Dad'!
Leo and Adel were shocked, Adel was shocked to have to call dad so soon. Meanwhile, Leo was surprised because his master was too easy to give up than usual.
"Good, dad!" adel's smile widened, he was both delighted and moved. For a moment, he will enjoy everything he can do with his temporary family.
"Leo, take care of everything. I'll bring my daughter in right now!" his word before disappearing from the presence of Leo along with Adel.
Leo blinked slowly. "He ... is still my master, right?" he said he couldn't believe it.
And Adel's dream come true, may it last for a long time, even if it can be forever.
