Green Smoke From the Sword

The arrival of elder Chai Nan as well as the few members who came with him greeted the wide smile of the red-haired and bearded man. He was Patriarch Mu Lingzhi, the Patriarch of the Red Lantern Sect.

"Now where are the heirlooms you got."

Elder Chai Nan then took out a sword he obtained from the underground chamber of the ancestral tomb of the Lightning Valley Sect. "We found this sword the Patriarch. But actually we still have a little doubt whether this sword is the fragment of the Legendary Heirloom we are looking for."

"So you didn't confirm it first? You're all fools, when you're about to leave the eastern land you make sure first whether the celestial needle is still pointing at that place or not." Hardik Patriarch Mu Lingzhi with a suppressing aura.

Elder Chai Nan lowered his head, he felt stupid for not thinking about it. "Sorry Patriarch, we didn't have time to do it because we were chased by a young man who seemed like he was also a cultivator."

"Take this sword and open it!!" Patriarch Mu Lingzhi threw the sword that had the split end to the tattooed man.

"Sorry Patriarch, we'd better open it in the open. I'm afraid this sword is a trap." Xin Qian ventured out because she had a bad feeling about the sword.

With an annoyed face, Patriarch Mu Lingzhi flicked his hand as a gesture for them all to come out. His feelings became bad when he read Chai Nan's mind.

After being in the front yard of the main building, elder Chai Nan then told the tattooed man to open the sword and then jumped back to keep his distance.

Elder Chai Nan and the others widened their eyes showing disbelief over the incident. The green smoke is getting more widespread, now began to spread almost cover the entire page.

After saying so, Elder Chai Nan then darted into the main building. Xin Qian and the others hurriedly reported to all the residents of the Red Lantern Headquarters for shelter.

In a short period of time, the entire elder and Patriarch Mu Lingzhi had already gathered in front of the main building. They were very surprised to see that the green smoke made the trees around the yard dry to death.

"Where did this smoke come from?" One of the elders asked Elder Chai Nan.

The energy sphere shot out before it exploded and expanded to form an energy dome that shut down the entire green smoke puff. But the energy dome did not last long, because the green smoke actually sucked the energy of the dome shield created by Patriarch Mu Lingzhi.

The green smoke expanded until it began to lead to buildings near the main building. There was a sound of shouting at each other as the green smoke expanded to engulf the buildings, resting places and training grounds of the Red Lantern members.

Having the protective shield that all the elders created look to be eroded, Patriarch Mu Lingzhi inched backwards.

"Quick unseal the protective HQ!" Order Patriarch Mu Lingzhi with an anxious raging heart.

All the elders as well as Patriarch Mu Lingzhi displayed different hand patterns, as the protective seal that enveloped the Red Lantern Headquarters was a combined seal. Seal their flagship known as the seal of 17 color lanterns. A seal was enough to stem the strength of a peak Star Swordsman stage cultivator.

Along with the protective seal of the Red Lantern Headquarters opened, a silhouette shot into the Red Lantern Headquarters from the direction of the sky.

The figure standing on top of the building stared at the puff of green smoke that was coiling up the entire building in front of him.

"Oh, you guys are stealing wrong. Now feel the consequences of your actions." The figure of the shabby youth smirked before darting back up.

The shabby youth floated above the Red Lantern Headquarters, his mouth muttering a spell then both his hands created a large fireball and then threw the fireball towards the Red Lantern Headquarters.

When it was about to use the wind element technique to drive the green smoke out, the attention of all the elders and Patriarch Mu Lingzhi was diverted to the huge energy source that was heading towards them.

"You can keep this shield." 

Patriarch Mu Lingzhi moved his previously outstretched hand forward to hold the energy shield, now he pointed both hands up intending to destroy the big fireball above him before the fireball hit them all.

The sound of the explosion knocked out part of the building and its shock obliterated the green smoke that had already claimed the lives of hundreds of residents of the Red Lantern Sect.

One other large fireball that the shabby young man threw smashed smoothly into the other side of the Red Lantern Headquarters. The impact of the impact of the fireball shook the ground, flattening dozens of buildings.

The shabby youth appeared to grin thinly and then suddenly disappeared using teleportation techniques.

"I seem to recognize that technique." Patriarch Mu Lingzhi was busy recalling the attacking fireball technique earlier, until he was unaware of the damage his Sect had suffered.

"Patriarch, look at our sect..."

The words brought Patriarch Mu Lingzhi to his senses and then turned his gaze toward the west, where the entire building was flat on the ground.
