Chapter 08: Enemies of Heroes Who Are Not Afraid of Gods

(POV Third Person)

Name's Rougine. He is a former Adventurer who, as a result of his bad luck, has to live the rest of his life in this terrible place.

The Cursed Land Not Blessed By The Gods.

It was a region that many people said, were left behind by the Gods, as a result of the people there trying to oppose them.

Very different from any region in the Continent, although still the same as the territory of the Beast Kingdom of Wildore, both are mostly barren areas, aka deserts. But, the level of life that the two regions possessed was vastly different, with the Beas Kingdom of Wildore still being livable, but the same could not be said for the place.

The region does not have the slightest green land, even fertile land does not exist, where the region is really only filled with desert and steep mountains that are deadly.

For many, the region was the worst place to live, but for the residents living there, they had no other choice, either, for any region that is out there totally rejects them, for outsiders always look upon them as heretics unworthy of salvation and deserving of suffering.

And, about thirty years ago, Rougine managed to find out a surprising fact, that in fact the people who lived there were, not much different from those who lived outside of that place.

In fact, even more surprising, there is only zero point one percent of people who own Curse, with the owner of Blessing was the same as it was.

But, as a result of the pity and childishness he had in those days, Rougine foolishly told him this, to make people from the Holy Kingdom of Agios and the Empire of Aeternus, stating that he had been exposed by the residents of the region, which means he was immediately considered a heretic.

Where, it didn't take long after it spread out, a special force sent by the Empire of Aeternus went to capture him and forcefully, threw him into the region, with a strange curse that does not allow him to get out of the region.

Although at first Rougine always blamed everything on the residents who lived in the region, but as time went on, she realized that it was just a childish excuse that she made up, to cover up the mistakes he made.
