Girl For President
Real Mother

Arriving outside Cindy was confused to see the behavior of Abhimanyu who was looking panicked. His face was flushed with his white ears turning pink at his periphery.

"What's wrong with you, son?" ask Cindy.

"Oh, it's good that I'm here. It was Anjani wanted to let go of his danger but I couldn't" said Abhimanyu clumsily.

"Why?" cindy's face looks serious.

"That's because um ... ehm .. I'd better be the one helping her," Abhimanyu said, leaving Cindy with her face down while Cindy held her laugh until her stomach hurt. He opened the room door.

"What happened to my husband?" ask Cindy.

"I don't know, Mom," said Anjani pretending not to understand.

"Not knowing or pretending not to know."

"He's like a bachelor. I told you to help me open this kebaya shirt and get scared."

"Yes, yes he was scared" said Cindy approaching and unbuttoned the shirt covered by a large golden brooch. "He was afraid his bird was upright and this was not yet the time to let go."

"Ish mother was very frank," said Anjani.

"You're lucky to have a man who looks responsible. He didn't even dare to touch you before marriage. Not like Eagle's father. He used to make a promise to marry mother and mother willingly give up mother's most valuable property. In fact, until the Eagle was born, the man was not responsible and went somewhere."

Anjani listened to Cindy's story carefully all this time they were never this familiar. Usually there is still a barrier that blocks their togetherness.

"Then I saw your father holding you while working. At that time your father could only sell newspapers to make money without leaving you. You take him hot every day. When it rains your father will take you to shelter in Grandma's shop and leave you while he saves his wares. Almost like that our daily life until finally I feel pity and then tell him to sell while you and my Eagle foster together. There arose a relationship of dependence without us knowing until finally we felt each other needed. Your father then married me in order to work quietly without having to think about your circumstances later and I decided to marry him because I wanted the Eagle to have a good and responsible father figure like him. So that he becomes a real man, not a coward like his father." Cindy growled.

Suddenly Anjani hugs Cindy and cries.

"Sorry Mom, all this time I thought that mother was the cause of my mother's departure from my father's life" Anjani said.

"It's okay, I'm sincere in doing it. What matters is that you have grown up and can think about what is right and what is wrong. I also don't know what your father and your mother told you because we promised not to open up our past to the future. For us Eagles and you are our son there is no difference. Your father loved Eagle and I always tried to do the same thing even though you sometimes said that I always defended your brother. I'm sorry, son," Cindy said in tears.

"I was the wrong one so everything you did felt wrong to me. Forgive my mistakes all this time."

"Mom's sorry, too" said Cindy, and they both cried and regretted their mistakes together in her heart.

"From today on I will consider Mom my real mother. Dad was right every time I was angry he would always say that Mom was a real mother because Mom had been working hard to raise me all this time."
