I moved out of work, the old school didn't make me comfortable. I left behind all the stories of spirits, ghosts and all the old school residents, entering new worlds, new friends, new environments that might make me more comfortable.
First day.
This laboratory room has been not occupied for 3 years, since the death of one laboratory officer. Slowly I put the key in the keyhole. The musty smell of the room that was not opened for 3 years ambushed me. All the windows I opened to refresh the room I had to occupy as my work space.
The floor is very dirty. I walk into two rooms in front of me. I will use the right as my work space as the head of the laboratory, and the left will be used as a storage room for tools and materials.
Kreekk.the door opens slowly. The room is very dark. Groping I looked for the switch button to turn on the lights. My hands fumbled and like someone was touching the back of my hand, it was so cold, I quickly pulled my hand. Huft, what was that?,,
I looked back for the light button, finally found it too, the lights turned dim. The room was filled with shelves and storage cabinets for tools and practical materials. Just a few shelves and a closet filled.
I walked to the next room. This room has a window facing the corridor, quite illuminating without having to turn on the lights. The desk and chair where I work is already there.I put my bag on the desk. Taking a broom and a duster cleaned my workspace first.
Half an hour later I cleaned this room, tired of attacking. I leaned back in my chair, straightened my legs, closed my eyes. Suddenly a cold wind hit my cheek. I opened my eyes. And.in front of a very pale face, grinning.the eyes are round glaring at me. The distance of our faces is very close. My heart feels stopped. I could only watch him silently. And he disappeared too.
Day two.
Still very early in the morning, the school was still quiet heard the sound of brooms of school guards cleaning the school grounds. Once in a while the sound of a garbage wagon was thrown.
Kreekkk. The smell is still felt. I kept my bag on my desk, turned on the ac and started writing the work agenda I was going to do today.
At 06.45. There began to be the sound of many school children passing through the lab room.
I continued my work of clearing up the administration of the abandoned laboratory for three years. Fortunately, the tools and materials are still very few. If it is a lot it can be very exhausting.
Back..cold wind hit my face, my hair standing. And...
The pale white face was again right in front of my face. Smirked.
"Who are you.?", I asked
"I don't mean to interrupt.I just work here," I added..
Without answering, he disappeared, with a snickering sound of laughter, disappearing in the corner of the lab.
I was still fixated, who was he, why did he show his face to me?
---
The noise was so crowded in this room, I did not feel unfamiliar with this room. This is my room, my new place of work, just full of bookshelves, not tools and laboratory materials. I saw school children reading books sitting quietly on the floor. Some teachers were sitting in groups in a corner, it seemed like this place was a library.
I walked around, as if they had not seen my presence. I approached the teachers sitting in groups at the librarian's desk. The clearer their faces were, some of them were my coworkers.
That face.I think I'm looking at him. He laughed so happily. Their jokes sound very familiar.
This two-day face always appeared before me. Not looking pale, his face looked very fresh. Well-favoured.
They call her Miss Rani. The sharpness of the medium-tall, yellow-skinned, round eyes, and radiant signifies a pent-up intelligence. Miss Rani served as the head of the laboratory. Because the lab room is also used as a library room, Miss Rani holds two positions at once. Miss Rani is very sociable, her friends are very much, and because of her sweet attitude, she is very liked by everyone at this school.
--
The second break of fatigue began to strike. Some of the teachers were seen chatting casually in the teacher room. They say one name, "Miss Rani". I wonder if I'm approaching,
"Who is Miss Rani" I asked.
"Teacher here ma'am, just dead, the person is well-liked at this school" replied one of the teachers.
"Sickness.sickness of cancer," the teacher explained again.
It's cancer, that face that always bothers me. Suddenly one teacher offered her a hand, "This is Miss Rani's mom,"
One familiar face was in my eyes. The face that always bothered me in the lab. Not pale.
"What's wrong with you, why are you showing me your face?"whispered in my heart.
I kept to myself what I was going through in the lab.
--
The morning was still quiet.Till in the lab I headed for the sink faucet. Open faucets and wash hands after preparing tools and materials for student practice. Suddenly a coldness attacked me. A body stood behind me. Slowly, approaching me. Right behind me he fell silent.
"What's up?", I asked. "Are you still curious?", I asked again.
He's nodding. "Someone hasn't apologized to me yet" she replied. His voice sounded sad. "I died with slander still attached to me, he.has not apologized to me.", his voice rose and disappeared along with his form.
--
And I started to get busy figuring out, who was ever close to Miss Rani, who ever made me sad and feel slandered before I died.
Depressing.
Died without an apology from a loved one, a friend who always helped his distress.
The friend who was without mercy said that during Miss Rani's illness she took care of him, but Miss Rani never thanked him.
Before dying those words were heard by him. An ungrateful person who has troubled others during his illness.
Only a few of the closest people knew the true story. And they're tight-lipped.
Lazy to argue he said.
My heart felt sudden pain and sadness.
And Miss Rani still shows up sometimes just watching me work.

Believing in someone is necessary, but trusting without being vigilant is foolish. Even if the person is his own friend and brother. Leave 10% of your disbelief in your heart. If one day he betrays you, the pain you feel is not too deep.
