Forgetting the Ex

Forgetting the Ex
Chapter 72

Michael ran in search of a room occupied by a patient named Karin Larasati, he stared limp at the sight of his ex-wife lying helplessly on the bed with bruises on her face and body.

Two hours ago, he got word from the authorities that Karin was a victim of a robbery and was rescued by residents as he tried to save his bag. However, when the pull action was one of the perpetrators stabbed his stomach and pushed strongly Karin's body until he crashed into a street full of rocks. Until he was unconscious.

Karin's parents are still on their way to City E. Because after getting word from the authorities, Michael immediately contacted his former in-laws.

"Sir, this is Miss Karin's bag!" Authorities gave Kara a purple bag that her ex-wife had brought with her.

"Thank you, sir!" Michael was still weak to answer.

"We only found your business card in Bu Karin's bag and a sum of five million" said the authorities.

Michael remembers seeing Karin take the business card in her car and put it in her bag. He also asked her why she kept her card, the woman answered him for a memento.

"That much money?"

"Yes, Sir. But we didn't find his wallet or cell phone" he replied. "We have not been able to dig out further information because the victim has not been aware, from the confession of some residents he just came out of the gold shop and investigated he had just sold his earrings," he explained.

"Why did Karin get to this town? And what's he selling his earrings for?" michael asked.

"It's all because of you!" Miss pointed at Michael with an angry face and her designated puffy eyes were silent.

"Alright, Ma. It's not Michael's fault, our son is guilty" Roy said.

"Tante, Om, this is Karin's bag. It had five million but the police said they didn't find his wallet and cell phone" Michael handed the bag over.

"So where do the police know your number?"

"From my business card he didn't put in his wallet" Michael replied.

"The patient's family on behalf of Karin Larasati," call the nurse.

Roy and Rindu answer the call and enter the inpatient room. "Today, why did it get like this?" longing cries burst into hugging her daughter.

"Ma, Pa!" A heavy and shrill voice sounded from his mouth.

"Don't talk, calm down!" roy stroked his daughter's arm.

"Mama, it has forbidden you to come but still maksa," said Miss. Before Karin and Michael left for City M, he had already forbidden her from joining.

"Ma!" extended his hand.

"Don't move much, your wounds haven't completely dried yet" Roy refrained Karin from sitting down.

Karin grimaced in pain holding her wound.

"If you have recovered, never take the bus alone and go to the city again" Miss reminded.

"Ma," in a raucous voice. "How did you know I was here?" tanyanya lirih still withholding pain.

"Michael told us" Roy replied.

"Where is he?"

"He's..."

"Home home!" Missed cutting Roy's speech.

A look of disappointment flashed on Karin's face.

"Mama, why do you talk like that?" protest Roy.

"Let it go, Michael no longer wants to go back to him but is still in pursuit," Miss continues to grumble.

Michael behind the door heard only the conversation between his parents and daughter.

"Ma, I'm not going back to her. I promise!" karin said slowly.

"Good!" said Miss cynics.

"Ma, let Karin rest us out!" Roy took his wife out of the room.

Michael was not seen in the hospital.

"Show, Pa! He was not here anymore, such a man was also still expected," again Miss grumbled.

"Come, we'll pay Karin's medical fees!" Roy took his wife to the hospital administration.

"How much does it cost for a patient named Karin Larasati?" ask Roy when he gets to the payment section.

"In the meantime, Sir!" he said he was looking for patient data. "The patient on behalf of Karin Larasati who entered at 2 pm, today has been paid in full" he continued.

"Who paid?" ask Roy.

"Michael Aryaja."

"Thank you" said Roy.

"Together, sir."

Roy and Rindu went back to the inpatient room.

"Where are you from?"

"We're from the payment department" Roy replied.

"Yes, it's quite expensive. But, your ex-husband has already paid for it," said Miss Ketus.

Karin pulled the corner of her lips. "It turns out he still cares," her inner self.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"Morning, Miss Karin!" the nurse smiled

"By the morning too, Sus!" his reply.

"How's the condition?"

"A little bit of improvement, Sus."

"This is the cure, don't forget breakfast. If you need anything, call us" he said.

"Yes, Sus."

"Suster, when will our daughter be able to come home?"

"Wait for the doctor, yeah. If there are no complaints with his injuries, tomorrow he may also be allowed to go home" he replied.

"Thank you, Sus." Roy.

"Together, excuse me!" exit the room.

Long to feed the porridge to Karin's mouth.

"Excuse me, Sir, Ma!" greet a female nurse.

"Yes, Sus!"

"I want to give this to Ms. Karin" she gave a small basket of fruits and a bouquet of roses.

"Who are you, Sus?" ask Karin.

"From a man but he won't say his name."

"His own?"

"White, tall. Looks like that guy was here yesterday, too" he explained.

"Thank you, Sus!" karin.

"Yes, you're welcome." The nurse came out

"From Michael?" guess Miss.

"It looks like it is, '" replied Karin smiling.

"Don't expect too much, let your heart hurt" Roy reminded him.

"Yes, Pa." He relaxed his smile.

"How's Karin doing?" ask Tissa.

"He's getting better" Michael replied.

"Thank God. How did it go until she experienced that?"

"Sunday was wrong majored, he fell asleep on the bus until he woke up and found his bag empty. His wallet and cell phone were gone, confused he ended up selling his earrings on the way to the terminal in the middle of the road he was robbed" Michael explained. "He tried to defend his bag so he could return to City B, one of the robbers stabbed him in the stomach and pushed him until he collapsed. Luckily, the authorities found my business card" he explained. Yesterday afternoon the police asked Karin the chronology of the incident, then they explained the results of the interview with the victim to her.

Tissa closed her mouth in disbelief, there was pity and pity in her former daughter-in-law.

"So the culprit's been caught?"

"Already, Mom."

"Surely Karin was traumatized."

"Sunday seems like it's never going to this town again" Michael said.

"Good, she's not gonna bother you and Kara again" Tissa said. "Are you sure of what he said?" ask again.

"Tante Rindu and Om Roy forbid it, he also promised not to bother me anymore" he said according to what he heard.

"That's good news, you can marry Nora," Tissa smiled with satisfaction.

"I don't think about getting married yet, Mom."

"Do you feel sorry and pity for Karin?"

"Mom, I'm tired. Don't discuss marriage anymore" replied Michael.

"Today again, he again..!"
