Fika Diary

Fika Diary
Episode 9 A RING

After coming out of the Dean's room, Jam had pointed at 17:45 and shortly afterwards the sound of adhan maghrib reverberating. As usual without command we immediately rushed to the mosque, Anto and Bagas to the mosque part of the male women heading to the top floor, because the mosque is the female part on the second floor. After performing the maghrib prayer, the five of us headed to our favorite meatball stall, which is located in front of the campus.

“Pak order meatballs 5 bowls, which one bowl without fried” said Bagas as if poultice with my taste.

“Drink what Mas?”

“I warm orange” exciting Shinta

“Es oranges” Zilda and Anto answer together.

“What are you, Fik?” Bagas asked me. The other friend just nodded. “ Aheem…. “

“Mineral water course” answered me who made them gawk.

“Hah, since when did you so not like to drink avocado juz ,Fik?” Zilda's the one who's the most puffed up what I usually order.

“Iya again want aja” long time taka da sound from us five. Anto tried to open his voice.

“So you'll move classes in the afternoon huh, Fik?” I just smiled as I nodded slowly. Their train changed as if it was sad because I moved to afternoon classes.

“Yah... so we are no longer in class, and can not joke together like now again, donk Fik!” timpal Zilda while approaching towards me and spontaneously hugged me tightly. Without feeling my tears

stuck in my eyes, I was somehow very moved by Zilda's words just now.

And soon after, Mr. Shomad came by delivering 5 bowls of meatballs and drinks that we had ordered. We immediately ate meatballs with all the flavors that raged on the chest. Silence struck the five of us while enjoying the meatballs. I tried to melt the atmosphere by saying something.

“We will not be together every day but Sunday will be our morning lecture together, even all majors well there we can meet to exclaim”

“Iya, but the frequency is reduced once a week Shinta timpal.

“Not what is important can still meet” Anto join voice.

“It will make someone hit longing to wait for the coming Sunday” Zilda said as she looked towards Bagas.

After everyone finished eating and chatting about my work and what I was doing while not in college. The five of us shared stories without feeling like time was rolling at 19:45.

“Dangerous!!! I'm staying here, haven't started public transport”

“Why are you afraid? There will be a brother who can anterin go home!” ledek Anto while glancing at Bagas. All I see is a smile with Jumawa. “Oh yes it's night da, say. You guys better get back to the hostel, let me drop you off!” said Anto who spoke to Zilda and Shinta as say. And they both nodded and then moved.

“Gas, I went back first between two daughters of this goddess, you also naterin your daughter with heart!”anto said to Bagas by patting him on the shoulder. We split up where I, Zilda and Shinta had been

hugging and saying goodbye to leaving.

“Fika's heart, Bagas don't speed too much ya!” Zilda's Message.

During the trip, we were more silent. Until Bagas said something while slightly turning his head so that his voice was heard by Fika.

“Can you accept my help, so you don't have to work anymore? But sorry before I don't want to demean you, but I can't bear to see you pacing work and college like gini!”

“Thank you very much, but I want to work this is my wish and my determination that I have an obligation to make a living after Dad is gone. I remember her message to me

being a tough, ungrateful girl. I used to think that his attitude used to be very cruel and unfair in my eyes. But now I just realized it”

“I'm proud of you, Fika I want you to know if I have the same sincere feelings you”

“Yes but I'm sorry for now I want to focus more on work and college first!”

“Iya I will always support you, and be behind you”

Not feeling that our trip had arrived in front of my house, I invited Bagas to stop by for a while so I could make a drink for him but he refused on the grounds that it was a bad night with the neighbors.

“Fika, please accept this?”  bagas said as he held out a small velvet box and when I received it he told me to open it. And how surprised I was when I found out the contents of the box turned out to be a ring. I closed it back and returned it.

“No, Gas! I can't take it. Do you mean to propose to me?”

Bagas just smiled and handed the box back to me, “No! Think of it as a gift from someone who admires you and hopes that you do not move to another heart”

“So this ring is a bond that limits me so that I am not close to another male”

“Ya can be considered like that, but you do not need to feel burdened, already well you keep it if you do not want to wear it I returned first it was night, send greetings to Mother yes, Wassalamu ‘Alaikum”

Setlah Bagas also stopped the motor and soon passed. I'll go inside right away. Inside my mother, she still did not sleep.

“Who are you ushering in, Fik?”

“Bagas, mom!”

“What do you and Bagas have to do? Looks like among your college friends only he comes here most often!”

“Ah time anyway bu!”

“Indeed you do not feel that Bagas there is a sense of like you, Fik?”

“So ma'am I still have not thought about going out, I want to carry out the will of the late father not to date during my studies and I will try to carry out the advice of the father!”

“But, you also have the right to be happy, and if Bagas is serious like you can date while still in college”

“Bu... but for now, it might be better if I just be friends with Bagas”

“Ya... It is up to you, you better know which is best for you!. Now go to bed tomorrow you'll have to work!”

“Iya bu” I'll be in my room soon. And reopen the red velvet box Bagas gave earlier. What does this boy want? He tried to tie me up with a ring. I asked in my heart what I was

have feelings for Bagas? Have I completely forgotten Irfan, my ex-boyfriend from High School? I don't know I finally threw my body in bed until my eyes closed and fell asleep into the dream realm.
