This grandfather's calmness made Aksa unsettled.
"So grandfather will still marry me and Yora even if I refuse?" ask Aksa without a stale base. He had to make it clear that he did not want to marry Yora. It doesn't have to be long-winded.
"As Grandpa told you at the time. Grandfather did intend to marry you to the daughter of the Wijaya family."
"The news is true, it turns out," said Aksa again because he had heard the news from the source. He's grimacing slowly.
"Why do you think that's not true? Grandpa will marry you to Yora soon."
Aksa silence. It was like gathering energy to fight against the enemy.
"Why force something like this, Mother? Isn't marriage my decision?" Aksa's tone did not rise, but was filled with a dark aura. She's pissed. He's riled. "I'll get married when the time comes."
"Until when? You will continue to wander to be like your father if grandfather lets you, "pointing grandfather angry. "You'll be a man with a bad attitude! Grandpa hates that!"
"I was wrong. But now I want to fix myself. Because I never wanted to be like papa!"
Grandpa's eyeballs looked at his grandson a little longer.
"I told you, if I had my own choice, Cake. It's not Tiara. But I have a lover. She's another girl." Aksa's revealing about Lisa. But not by his name.
Grandpa silent.
"So all this time you've been hiding your lover and still become Yora's fiancee?" ask Grandpa to draw conclusions.
"I can't do anything because grandpa forced me. Isn't the highest throne in the Candika family a grandfather?" Aksa knew his position as a person who was under the pressure of his grandfather. As he once told Lisa, that he or Arka will not escape the arranged marriage that his grandfather planned.
"Highest throne? Nice sarcasm, Aksa." In this tense atmosphere, grandfather calmed down which made Aksa even more depressed. "Isn't that cowardice? Grandpa never taught you to be a coward."
"I'm not a coward, Grandpa. Circumstances that forced me to be like that," hiss Aksa suppressed the overflowing emotions. "I told you, I'll take the girl in front of grandpa. I'm just waiting for him to be ready. Because I cannot impose my will. It's about both of us. It's not just about me" explained Aksa with a frustrated look.
Since then grandfather always gave a pause when Aksa explained something. Grandfather not only focused on the command, that Aksa should get married. He also had to listen to what his grandson said.
"Then you're so selfish, Aksa. You're concerned about both of you." Grandfather said it with a calm face. That's getting a little messy with Aksa.
"What did Grandpa say? Selfish?" aksa asked not to accept. His forehead wiggled. "Don't I have to be selfish if I want to be from Grandpa?"
"really. You don't think about how this girl named Yora feels. You don't care what happens to Yora if you force your will to break your engagement. She's also a girl with a heart, just like the girl you're defending now."
"Did Grandpa think I wasn't thinking about it?" asked Aksa in a downhill voice.
"Grandpa has it right who you are if it's dealing with women." Mr. Candika who has lived a long time, like already know his grandson rather than himself. So he knew Aksa must not care about the thing that troubles him.
"I'm not like that, Cake. I'm not like that anymore" pressed Aksa who seemed to have lost his way to convince his grandfather.
"Nature doesn't change that quickly, Aksa. Grandpa understands that."
"Yet grandfather didn't know my process had changed. Grandpa only sees my past. Grandpa didn't see with his own head how I changed!" aksa shouted in annoyance and frustration. Lisa's problem spreads everywhere. Many things were discussed by his grandfather.
Aksa breathed a tired sigh. Lord Candika's eyeballs saw her grandson struggling hard to explain. That's new when it comes to women.
Geck! Geck!
The sound of the reading room door on the tap made grandfather turn his head. Aksa already doesn't care to know who showed up there.
From behind the door came Mr. Aknam. Grandpa's chin raised asked what was wrong? Mr. Aknam did not speak directly. He walked over. Aksa lowered his gaze. He still thought of many ways to convince Grandpa that he did not want to get married.
Mr. Aknam's body ducked to whisper to Mr. Candika. Grandpa's face was shocked when he heard what Mr. Aknam said.
"really?" ask Grandpa.
"True sir." Mr. Aknam nodded. Grandpa scrunched his forehead.
"alright. Tell them to come in," ordered Mr. Candika. Mr. Aknam moved away from Grandpa to the door. Here Aksa's view looks up. He saw the rest of Grandpa and Aknam's interactions earlier.
"It looks like there's a guest for grandfather," Aksa said.
"No. This guest is not only for grandfather, but also for you" said Grandfather pointing at his grandson with his eyeballs.
"I? Who're they?" ask Aksa. After Mr. Aknam came out, the door opened again. No longer a confidant of grandfather. "You guys?" aksa asked surprised at the appearance of these people.
