Ngebleng Tapa

You are forbidden to eat and drink during odd days, covering 7/13/19/21 days. If the usual fasting duration is only from dawn to Magrib, Ngebleg fasting is done for 24 hours. 

Kimpaw

The trick is to soak yourself in the river meeting the current for 40 days with bare chest. During doing Tapa Kungkum, you are prohibited from falling asleep because it can make this tirakat void. In addition, falling asleep will also endanger yourself.

Ngeli Tapa

You have to get away in the water. Some say that the perpetrators of this tirakat use a canoe and let the river water wash away. Perhaps the philosophy, one should submit to the will of God.

Tapa Pendem

You have to bury yourself until you look neck. That said, this type of tirakat is quite heavy because the perpetrators are often visited by subtle creatures to frighten him. You also have to have a strong physical in order not to limp.

Tapa Hangs

You must hang on a tree and be forbidden to step on the ground. In addition to being called tapa nganggang, there are also those who call it tapa kalong. This seminary is also believed to increase physical strength and train breathing.

Ngrame Tapa
