ETHEREUM
CHAPTER 4

•••

Alia ran like an infidel. The woman did not care about the strange gazes of the people she passed through. The most important thing for him now was that his precious thing he could find. No matter her legs started to ache because the woman ran from the hospital to where she was fighting Fajar last night.

“Alia!” From the back, someone shouted Alia's name while running after her.

“Alia, stop!”

Alia did not care about Raffa's screams. The woman with the hair that had looked so messy, still ran fast. Breaking through the pedestrians that sometimes accidentally Alia nudged their shoulders.

“Hei, Alia.” Raffa manages to align her body with Alia's. Raffa quickly pulled Alia's hand to stop the woman. But there is something Raffa needs to remember. Alia is not the girl she used to be. He has a strong power. Therefore, he was able to brush off Raffa's hand with a slash that could be said to be rough.

Raffa did not give up. The man continued to chase after Alia with a loud breath.

“Alia please stop!” Raffa was standing right in front of Alia. The guy quickly held onto Alia's shoulder, in order for the woman to stop. Alia wriggles her body to get Raffa's hand off her shoulder. But he's not capable. His body had started to limp from running while crying.

“Hei, Alia, relax! You can get sick if you force yourself like this. Rest first, yes! You haven't really taken a break from last night. I'll help you find your necklace, okay?”

Alia's head shook loudly. “No! I don't have time for leha-leha. Doctor ..." Alia held onto both of Raffa's wrists and gripped him hard. A second later, Alia raised Raffa's hand and threw him down violently, “get aside!”

Raffa's body turned to the side. Alia got away from him. And the woman ran back to where she believed her necklace was.

For a while Raffa just stayed in place, with the position of the body bent and his breath that had begun to disappear. To be honest he was no longer strong after Alia. The distance from the hospital to the place is very far. Raffa's calf is sick. His heart is beating abnormally. His sweat had flooded his temples, forehead, and neck.

Raffa straightened his body and turned his head up. The sunlight stung the man's face, as if siding with Alia for her to stop chasing after the girl.

Raffa's head was now looking straight ahead. Alia's shadow was no longer in her sight. It seemed like the girl had already turned next to the alley on the corner of the street. Raffa did not expect Alia to be able to get there just because of a necklace.

“Lo sucks, Raf. Time chasing aja girl just ragged,” dumelnya on himself, and then Raffa laughed grimly.

The man did not give up. Raffa finally set foot again to catch up with Alia. This time he could not run. Raffa is only able to walk while holding next to his stomach which begins to feel cramped. Raffa doesn't care that it will take a long time to catch up with Alia. Most importantly, he could get there. Even by walking.

Raffa hopes the sky is on his side. The sun was stinging, making him feel even more exhausted. If Raffa could control the weather. Raffa will definitely choose to run in the rain, rather than the sun.But this is for Alia. Raffa has to hold on to that sun.

Until finally, Raffa managed to get to the end of the road and began adjacent to a fairly large alley, where last night he turned his car to look for a cup of coffee.

Raffa kept going. Raffa please, Alia is fine.

The lamp post near the street where Dawn fell is already visible. Raffa just needs to cross to get to that place. But what Alia was doing across the street left Raffa still riveted.

The woman became the center of attention of people, like people are not sane. Alia went back and forth while looking for her lost necklace.

“Sorry, Mom. Can stand for a while!” The man who was sitting on a chair in the pedestrian stood up from the chair, looking at Alia in confusion.

“Still,” says Alia.

Alia with high hopes can find her necklace above, or below, or maybe in the seat inserts.

Niente.

The woman found nothing.

Alia clutched her head, frustrated. His eyes began to travel all over the place. Everyone looked at him strangely. He even refused to go closer to Alia.

The woman's gaze was now fixed on a green object standing in front of a food store. Alia approached the thing. The thing called the garbage can, now ruffled by him.

“Eh, Ma! Don't be convinced of that!”

“Woi! Don't muddle the road. ****!”

“Duh, crazy, huh?!”

“Police report! Report police!”

Alia's ears are deaf. He didn't care about the scolding from the people behind him. Until finally, Raffa pulled the girl's body and forced her to turn her body.

“Alia please calm down!” please Raffa with his soft voice.

Alia looked at Raffa with tears filling her eyes. Alia's lower lips trembled withstanding the cries. The pigtails in the woman's hair had gone down and the bond had loosened.

Raffa held Alia's body slumped downwards. Both are now sitting on the sidewalk. Dozens of pairs of eyes were still trembling while watching Raffa and Alia. Bad habits of living beings. Cockroaches with other people's problems.

“How do I pay for that guy's hospital fee. I already promised him,” said Alia then looked right into Raffa's eyes. “Doctor. Can I sell my organs? I don't need my other kidney. I don't need two eyes either. The doctor can take it all as long as I get paid. Can you, Doctor?”

Raffa looked at Alia iba. The man did not expect Alia to intend to do so.

“Sorry .. I can't do that to you,” Raffa's reply made Alia feel a little disappointed.

Alia's cry broke. For him, there was no longer any hope for him to live. Part of his soul in the necklace was gone.

Just finding her necklace she can't. Especially finding her real parents. That's more impossible.

“I want to die, Doc! My life has no purpose anymore. My parents did not want me either,” said Alia, sobbing.

“Why did they dump me? Why was I born if my fate was like this. I always dreamed that one day I would meet my parents. If I meet them, I'm afraid they won't recognize me. The necklace is my only identity they might know. But ... Now the necklace is gone. I want to die! I want to die!” raung Alia with an increasingly chaotic face.

Raffa is confused as to what to do. All she could do at this moment, was wipe away the tears Alia was flowing down her cheeks.

“Your life is still long, Alia! God still gives you a chance to live to meet your parents.” Isakan Alia slightly eased hearing Raffa's speech.

The people around the place were silent. Those who had recorded the incident, now lowered their phones and looked at Alia iba.

“But how is the Doctor? What do I need to do to find my parents?”

“Sabar, Alia! God knows the right time for you to meet your parents. Your parents must know you right away without you having to have the necklace. Because you're their child.”

“But they don't love me. Why did they mean to leave me in an orphanage? Surely they consider me a burden,” hiss Alia.

“If that is the case, you still love, right, to them? The proof is that you have to find the necklace.”

Alia could not deny Raffa's words. The man was right. Although Alia does not know how her parents look and character. Alia still loves them.

Chief Alia turned to the side of Raffa's head. His eyes stared at the large road that only many motorcycles passed. When I saw that road. Alia was thinking about suicide. But no cars passed. If hit by a motorcycle at most Alia just blisters. Alia hoped, the truck crossed the street and crashed into her.

Asstagfirullah is aware of Alia! inner Alia screamed resuscitated her brain which started to think negatively.

Alia closed her eyes and a second later her eyes reopened and stared around. People still haven't left. Alia just realized that she became a free spectacle for people. Embarrassed. Alia was embarrassed.

“Eh.”

Both of Alia's eyes slightly squinted at a row of traffic cones, or road triangles, that stood upright beside the street light pole.

Someone is in the traffic cone. And that thing made Alia curious.

Alia got out of front of Raffa and walked closer to the traffic cone.

Both of Alia's eyes sparkled. There was a happy glint emanating on that amber colored eyeball.

The precious thing was stuck there. In the traffic cone. Alia is happy to be a match. With an excited feeling, Alia took her necklace that was coiled in the traffic cone.

Alia's tears are flowing again. Not because of sadness. But the woman was very happy. His intention to commit suicide would not be his. His soul came back to live longer. Raffa's right. Alia just needed to be patient and wait for time to side with him.

Ah, Alia Ampai forgot Raffa. Her happiness is forgetting everything.

Alia turned her body and lifted her necklace high up in the air. “Doctor! Half of my soul has met!” alia exclaimed with a smile that never faded on her face.

Raffa looked at the necklace with a feeling of relief. Thankfully, Raffa's inner self smiled at Alia.

Raffa approached Alia who was putting her necklace on her neck. Raffa salute to Alia. His love for the necklace and his parents, it turned out to be really big. The woman ran dozens of Kilo Meters, and ransacked the garbage cans just to find the necklace. It turns out that because of the persistence and strength of Alia's love, the woman managed to find her special object.

“The trunk is still yours, Alia. He will return to his owner if God still wants you to take care of him. You are waiting for God to return your parents who left you. Does God still want your parents to take care of you as his son or not. We just need to be patient and follow the time leading us.”

“And God knows what is good and bad for his people. Isn't that right, Doctor Raffa?”

Raffa smiled as he rubbed Alia's messy hair. Alia was glued to her place watching how sweet Raffa's smile was. His blood only flowed to his heart. Alia's heart was racing abnormally. It scared Alia.

Until Alia's eyes faded. His eyes closed slowly. And a second later. His body was broken into Raffa's arms, and the man was now starting to panic because Alia had suddenly fainted
