Eternal Desires

Eternal Desires
Ch. 4 - Combination of Magic and Sword

"Is this the place?."

Wilbert came to the destination of this Quest. Not a Goa, nor a ruin. This spot.. A dense Forest.

Wilbert knew full well that this enemy was the Forest Elf, but the Forest Elf he knew was an Elf who was in ruins full of dense plants with camouflage ability against green things, hence it was called as Forest Elf.

He also knew for sure, monsters like this would not be able to pass through the barrier magic from the ruins entered by the Adventurers.

Then why did they get out of there? Not even a Diamond Level Monster would be able to break the barrier, was this a Titanium level monster? No-no, that's not possible.

What then? Is this the result of someone's intervention? That's the only possibility.

Someone's meddling? Wilbert sensed that this was as strange as the existence of the Goblin Tribe brutally obliterating two young individuals in the horrific incident.

His sweat came back out great like running for tens of Kilometers. His mind was again confused by the incident on that day.

But this is not like before, this feeling is not a feeling of guilt for making a mistake, but more like. 'angry'..??. Yeah, it seems like it.

His fist hardened, veins coming out from various parts on his face. His teeth were crushed, until it made a loud enough sound. Especially if it's not an 'Anger' that he put out in him?.

"Is this the same man's doing?."

"The one who made me experience and bear all the responsibilities of that day?."

"The same person who killed them both?!."

Emotions from Wilbert are back to unstable, after having calmed down a few months ago.

However, Wilbert's anger produced nothing, nor gave an explanation as to 'why could they break out of the shackles that only Titanium and Platinum Level Monsters could break?'.

"Hufffhhh.." Wilbert slit his breath.

The angry Wilbert became calmer after a while. Like a mentally unstable person, 'is his anger only that?', and 'can humans get rid of their anger in just a few seconds?'. Wilbert seemed to have indeed changed quite mentally, as "a feeling that changed as fast as lightning" - this had happened before.

Not long after the Anger had been evaporated and calm poured down Wilbert's body, the sadistic Forest Elves raised their noses from behind the green trees with their poisoned arrows.

"FUSH!", Poison arrows were fired from behind the trees at high speed. Crossing the leaves and other plants, the arrow came before Wilbert at its maximum speed.

But Wilbert was an experienced Adventurer, so this arrow would only be avoided instantly realizing it. But surprisingly, the arrow deflected its direction in the opposite direction, causing Wilbert who dodged to the left to be severely hit.

"?!"

Bronze-ranked Monsters can do this? The probability is only 0.1%. Because they are usually monsters with no experience that are used as training tools for amateurs.

Whereas the one Wilbert was currently fighting was an Elf full of experience. Yes, this reinforces that all of this is a person's doing. Totally beyond belief.

The poisoned arrow pierced Wilbert's skin and penetrated the flesh, spreading the poison quickly throughout Wilbert's body. But Wilbert, who was exposed to the poison just kept silent and smiled widely.

"It's surprising."

"I didn't think an Elf could do any of this."

"But, I assure you, you don't know of any magic combination like this, do you?."

Wilbert who was hit by the arrow, wrapped his body with neutralizing magic, so that the poison effect immediately disappeared from his body.

Surprisingly again, this magic was extremely difficult to perform. Especially for an Adventure that uses swords, such as Heavy and Swordsman.

"Then from that, I chose this Role to lower the percentage of me dying."

"This role.. Is the strongest hidden role."

"Then. kekekeke."

After a while of dressing his body with neutralizing magic, Wilbert immediately focused the magic boost or enchant to dress his sword with the effect of the magic.

His sword that he boost using Enchant Magic, in the boost re-use 'Doubling Magic' to double his previous Boost, then in boost again using 'Predator Boosting Magic'.

What happens when the Sword is given a 'boost' effect two..no, four times? That sword is definitely going to be bigger and bigger than before, right?. Maybe like a huge monument in Wilbert's grasp.

Then what would happen if the 'monuments' were reduced in size and weight?, but with the same destructive force?.

A. tool. deadly.

Such was the Magic in the hands of Wilbert the Genius. It is not wrong to call it that way, because its magic control is above the average Human in general.

In that regard, he broke the stigma of "Magic Caster is the worst Role", and proved that Magic Caster is much better than any Role.

Yes, the Magic Caster that was originally just a Role to cast some basic attacking magic, changed significantly in the hands of this Young Genius.

"I call this.. Chaotic Disaster Type: 1."

"Feel this power of mine.."

The sword that was only as big as that stick, hit the body of one of the Forest Elves who was ready to ambush him from behind. It pierced through the bone and destroyed all of its organs in one swing.

The other Forest Elves instinctively moved forward at the same time to kill Wilbert whom they considered an "enemy".

What would Wilbert do to eliminate all those enemies with such a short range? Much shorter than his usual sword?.

"Cancel: Shrink's Magic."

His sword returned to its large size like a monument as before, because of that too, the range of his sword became much larger and could be swung around without the "heavy" obstacle".

"Chaotic Disaster: Type 2."

All of the Forest Elves were fooled by Wilbert's plan which indeed provoked them to attack simultaneously.

Due to the stupidity of their own instincts, they ended up dying unceremoniously shattered in a single swing of a sword the size of the monument.

"Strength will be deadly if you use it as efficiently, and as well as possible."

"People think I'm a genius when I just work harder than everyone else."

"With this, my strength is sure to be much stronger than before."

"This role is what I expected."

That way, this annoying Bronze Quest was finally completed with a fairly short time, about 1 Hour to fight swords, and approximately 5 Hours to collect various valuables.

Then the reward he got after completing this Quest was 10,000 silver coins, which could be used to rent the inn for 10 days.
