It's Not Secret anymore

Erica POV.

I feel a burden if Jonathan announces it like that. Do you know why? Not all coworkers can accept one of their subordinates can date with their superiors. There will be gossip from other colleagues who are not satisfied. Maybe that's something that's common for Jonathan. But not for me.

Just look at what happened to Lilie. I took a breath and walked out of the meeting room. Just one step out of the meeting room, all eyes were on me. It feels uncomfortable and uncomfortable to be seen like that by your own co-workers.

I went back to my desk as a secretary. I sat down with the new secretary who had not replaced me for long. Farah. When I looked at her, Farah instantly shifted her eyesight away from me. It would be obvious if he avoided eye contact with me.

Everything felt different when I found out that I was Jonathan's girlfriend. The secret I've been keeping closed is no longer a secret. A little upset that Jonathan announced it all of a sudden without my consent. But I can what. Jonathan just wanted to announce his engagement which has been anticipated by Aunt Christy.

Phew. I let out my breath. Shortly thereafter Lilie approached me again at the secretary's desk and handed me a file in the folder..

"The file is signed with the boss!" lilie said in an annoyed tone.

"You can go in and love the boss as usual" I said. Please, I don't want to make a fuss with anyone because of this.

"How can I go inside knowing she's getting married to one of the secretaries here!" lilie said with a ketus. Gosh darn. Just like this my mentality is tired.

"It looks like there's something you want to tell me, Lie" I said. I'm tired of seeing Lilie's attitude that's been this way since the meeting room.

"Nothing is."

"We're going to the pantry. Let's talk first." I said I'd take Lilie. I don't want us to fuss about this in front of Farah who is still a new kid. Lilie followed me to the pantry with a bent face.

In the pantry, I brewed some warm tea for Lilie.

"What's up, Lie? Are you angry with me?" ask me to open the conversation.

"What the hell. No really. Don't be too late, Er."

"Then what? Your attitude. Since then. Sorry, Lie. I don't know how you feel about Jonathan." I said

"Keep, you know how I feel, boss, how do you still keep cornering me? For what? For department? For the Boss's treasure?" asked Lilie in annoyance. I impeached. Because from the beginning Lilie liked Jonathan and I knew exactly that.

"Did I look so in your eyes, Lie?"

"Everyone says the same thing!"

"But at the end of the day you too want to be engaged to Jonathan?"

"Gosh, Lie. Honestly, I've asked Jonathan to keep this a secret from the employees. Because I know many who think I made Jonathan a stepping stone for the sake of my career's sincerity."

Lilie just shut up.

"But at the meeting Jonathan announced it in front of all of you. I was in shock too. I just want to keep this relationship a secret."

"That's it. What happened already. It is so. Maybe the boss likes your performance or something. I don't know either. I can only congratulate you on getting engaged to the boss" Lilie said slowly. There is no more discussion between us.

Meanwhile, in Jonathan's room, I got angry because Jonathan made the announcement without my consent.

"Well, you made the announcement so well after the meeting?" I was upset in Jonathan's room
