9. Departing Together

Finally Ellie could breathe a little relief after coming out of the house. The house where he slept one night in bed with a stranger.

The house where he was suddenly asked to marry a man whose name he had just found out about three hours ago ooh gosh like soap operas.

Now he is sitting in a car that is speeding towards his campus. After previously he mentioned the name of the campus to David who is now next to him driving.

"What major did you major in?" David asked with his eyes fixed to the front of the driving focus.

"The law" replied Ellie

"Oh" David responded with an oh ria.

Silence back, only the sound of music that plays softly. Each one was silent with his thoughts.

"I'm sorry about last night, I was drunk and I didn't mean to do that to you" David said, looking back at his interlocutor.

Ellie also turned her head, they stared for a moment. "Yes, don't pa-pa thank you for me too" he replied briefly. "Can I ask you something not like you?" continued.

"What?" david answered briefly.

"How much money are you? um, I mean gini so I can make sure to call you what's good to talk about" asked Ellie.

"Thirty" answered David honestly.

"Well, you have to be polite and I talk to my parents" Ellie said.

"What's? Old man?" David laughed out loud hearing himself being called old man by Ellie. "Just call him" he said later.

"Mas, did you approve of this wedding plan?"

"Hm" David replied briefly.

"Hm how does that mean?"

"Yes, I want to. Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No, but what's the reason you're willing to accept this"

"I'm just following my parents, and of course I have to take responsibility"

"Looh, why did the car get into the parking lot? Ellie asked when they arrived. And accidentally diverted their conversation about marriage.

"I also need to be here" said David while removing the seat bealt. He seems to be hiding something.

"Oh, yeah, I got the ride. I go first" Ellie rushed to her class. He did not want to be pinched with the needs of David on his campus.

With wide steps he walked towards the lecturer's room. Glancing at the watch that was coiled solidly on his wrist he also accelerated his footsteps.

Ellie half ran up the stairs, her breathing gasping for breath her eyes were busy searching for Novi's figure. He accidentally grabbed someone.

"Oh" cried Ellie he almost fell, fortunately there was a burly hand that held his arm.

"Hey, elo why run? Where did you run last night?" Ask Ragil full of questions. His hand held Ellie's arm tightly.

"Sorry I'm in a hurry" Ellie said quickly. He shook Ragil's hand hard. Then hurried away leaving Ragil who was staring at him with an erratic feeling.

'All right, just run as you want right now. Wait a day later' furious Ragil while continuing to look at Ellie's back until no longer seen.

"Huft finally" Ellie was relieved she managed to enter the class and sat down sweetly before professor Abdullah came. Tumben lecturer was not yet come when usually on time.

"Elo, running a marathon?" Ask Novi next to him. Wonder what costume his best friend wore. Ellie is more fit to be exercising than like any other student in class. Saltum is in the wrong costume. Novi patted his own eel.

"Yes, it's up to the important thing that I'm not late" replied Ellie with breath still hunting because of running from the parking lot and then up the stairs until finally she can sit in the class as it is today.

"Elo owes me the same explanation" his best friend's nudge right about his elbow. "Nih, your phone is in the dalem" continued Novi while handing Ellie's bag.

"So patient, I know everything. Thanks y... David Mas.." Ellie did not continue her words. He was shocked to see who entered his class walking hand in hand with professor Abdullah. That's David 'waduh don't-don't him...' His tongue is twisted his brain suddenly blank can not think.

"Mas David who's Ell?" Novi.
