Dusk And Loss

Dusk And Loss
Coincidentally

After school, Alana went straight to work. He took a job that could be taken after college. Alana works at one of the famous coffeshops. It is also not far from the campus. He can even reach it on foot. For the past year he has been working freelance there. Not infrequently the students of the campus stopped by even just to coffee for a while and look for Wi-Fi.

Cring cring .. cring cring

The lock of the bell he had placed on the door sounded, a sign that someone had just entered.

“Happy sianggg ..” Say hello to a young man who looks serious about coffee. Alana throws a smile. She also smiles at the man.

Aksas. Name's Aksa. For a year he knew an Aksa. From not knowing anything about coffee, to being able to brew your own coffee. Aksa was a young man who was searching for his identity. Capitalizing on intention and determination he tried to open a small coffeshop. Unexpectedly, his coffeshop is now one of the favorite places for young people to just hang out.

“Siang too, Alana. Did you finish doing it?” Aksa's return to the beautiful girl. Luckily the owner of the coffeshop was Aksa. If not, maybe Alana was forced to resign because her working hours collided with her college hours.

“Udah, Sa. Sorry, I'm kind of sorry.”

“It’s okay, Al. Relax just a few times.” Aksa smiled widely, indicating that there was nothing to worry about. Aksa always understood Alana. Because for him, Alana is not an employee but a friend and a good listener. Even when Aksa was having problems, Alana always helped him. Yes, even if only as a listener.

“BRUKKK!!” the sound of falling goods, the direction of the sound from outside the coffeshop. Alana looked to see where the sound came from. He saw a mother - a mother the same age as his mother fell. Someone hit him, but left him. The things he brought fell. Alana came out to help.

“Tante gapapa?” Alana asked in a caring tone, then gave the fruits she had picked up from the ground because they had fallen scattered.

“How come, thanks ya.”Alana returned the smile of the woman.

He invited the mother in for drinks, to calm the heart. He offered her a cup of coffee, but the mother refused subtly, as there were problems with stomach health, she said. Then Alana gave the mother mineral water. They talk here and there in no direction.

Aunt Rosa, just call it that.

“Iya aunt.” Answer Alana gently.

It turns out that the woman is from the next town. Semarangs. He went to Jogjakarta to meet his only son. Aunt Rosa moved to this city because there are family problems that must be resolved immediately. Alana's listening to aunt Rosa's story well. Just a few minutes to get to know Aunt Rosa, Alana already felt a click with her. Didn't think he'd been sitting there for hours. The woman, almost half a century old, finally said goodbye to go home.

“When auntie plays here again, deh. Can?”

“By pleasure, aunt.” Alana was at peace with the woman. Seeing aunt Rosa, Alana remembered her mother. Lovely mother and child.

Echoes are busy with the stove in the kitchen. He looks very good with onions and chili that he is peeling and cutting. Today, he plans to cook for lunch ahead of his afternoon, which may be for him as well as dinner. Yes, yes, boarding boy. A day at most eat once twice.

Echoes cool scroll food recipes on his smartphone. Try a new cuisine. “Well..how about oxtail soup?” He noticed a picture that looked very interesting. Makes him hungry for a moment.

“Toh the material is also in the refrigerator.” He smiled as he began to prepare the ingredients that he would cook. Echoes are very independent men. He can survive with everything around him. He never even hung others.

“Mamah?” With a hanging tone, the woman called mamah hugged him. But Gema did not return the embrace. He took off a pair of hands that were wrapped around his neck.

“Ngapain here?” A ketus tone comes out of the mouth Echoes. It was seen that he did not want the woman to be there. Disappointed look adorns the face of mamah Gema.

“Mamah moved here to find you, Gem.”

Echoes grimaced, suddenly his chest tightened. Remembering what he wanted to forget.

“I gaada time. Busy again.” Echoes shut the door. I don't know what he's thinking. How evil to the point that he did not allow his own mother to enter. What kind of child hates a woman who has been pregnant with him for 9 months.

At the end of the wait. You finally came. Meet me, but I don't know what I'm thinking. My heart refuses to accept you, again. If you really are an important part of my life, then why are you leaving me? You don't think I need a mother's hug? You think I don't need even just your advice? You're petty. You're selfish. Choose to leave me and seek your own happiness. I am a coward who lives in uncertainty. Life is just waiting to die.

The weather that afternoon was truly magnificent. The sky is bright with its reddish color. Birds look friendly in pairs across the horizon up there. But not with a girl named Alana. He stood alone there. Waiting for his friends. He was going to a bookstore with his two best friends. Cika and Mila. Who else.

“Sshhh .. really long anyway they.” Alana grumbled because she had not expected to have been standing there for half an hour. His feet began to tingle. The afternoon, he thought. But from a distance, there were two pairs of eyes with a smile on their lips.

“Sorry, Al. It was jammed in the street. Hence a bit of afternoon hehe.” Cika whines while holding Alana's hand. I hope Alana is not angry with him.

“Ehhh, denga, Al. The Cika tuh. She was I samperin still sleeping time.” Mila talks frankly to Alana about the nature of her best friend. Cika put a face to Mila. He did not expect Mila to dare say that.

“It’s okay. I'm maklumin. You guys are not ngaret. Yuk yuk buruan street. Hunting malem.”

The three of them were familiar with books. However, their taste is different. Cika with his comics, while Mila prefers to read books about health. Unlike Alana, she prefers to read romance novels. He loves to write poems and poems. As usual, when they entered the bookstore, they all split up. It was like a child in a sea of toys.

Alana is on the last shelf. Part of romance novels. He was busy sorting out the novels he wanted to buy.

“Pantesan bucin, the reading of the book beginian.” The t-shirt of someone beside Alana. He turned to look towards that voice. He was surprised, seeing it. The echoes of smiling held back laughter.

“Bye, bodoamat. What are you doing here? Follow me? Ohhh I know, you ngefans yes same me?” Alana replied to Gema's words in a mocking tone.

“Bih, don't be crazy you. Uh, btw sorry yes. Yesterday I accidentally missed your tape recorder. Alay, uh but how come you still make a tape recorder anyway?”

Alana's guess is right, Echoes listening to the tape recorder. Cengengesan echoes. Alana looked upset at Echo's remark. He left the Echoes, carrying a book he was going to buy.

Why, I keep seeing that crazy guy. Crazy, ah. He grumbled alone. He was busy looking for the book he was looking for. Alana chose to head to the other shelf. Avoid that guy.
