Chapter 23 The First Day of College

" Raaaa, sooner a little later we're late.” Shouted Dara from outside Naura's room.

Not long after, the door opened and Naura came out neatly dressed in her black white clothes. Yes, today is Naura's first day of college.

“ Sorry brother, let's go.” Take Naura while locking the door of her room. They also rushed to the boarding parking lot and did not take long Dara immediately darted into the streets that were not too crowded.

“ Thank you brother.” said Naura after arriving at the campus gate.

“ Yes both Ra, already there in.” Dara

“ Assalamualaikum sis.”

“ Walaikumsalam.”

Dara then drove her motorbike to her workplace and Naura entered the campus to the hall where the new students/students gathered.

When he came in, someone called his name.

“ Naura, wait for me..” Shouted Abel who was running towards Naura. Hearing her name called Naura stop and look towards the origin of the voice.

“ Slowly dong Bel, there is still time kok.” Naura.

“ Let me have a friend in Ra, fortunately we meet here.” Abel said while adjusting his irregular breathing.

“ Yes Bel, there is a mobile phone, stay on the phone aja.”

“ Yes, yes...if you can meet again on the phone.”

“ Ehmmmm,, au ah. Let's go in, later if it's too late can sit on the back you know.” Naura said directly holding Abel's hand.

Inside the hall was already filled by many new students. Naura and Abel looked busy looking for a seat that was still empty.

“ Ra, just there. There is still nothing empty.” Appoint Abel in the third row of the podium.

“ Alright.” Naura said following Abel's footsteps.

“ I deg-degan Ra, the first day of college and the welcoming of new students. Didn't expect a very crowded event like this.” Abel said amazed

“ Same Bell, just deserve the people on the scramble to be able to lecture here ya.” Said Naura who was nodding by Abel.

At exactly 08:00, all the new students had entered the hall and occupied the empty seats. The atmosphere was immediately silent when there was an instruction from one of the seniors who informed him that the rector and his ranks entered the podium and the senior students both still in college and newly graduated. Among the seniors were their idol students Arlan, Dennis and Galih.

Students this year feel lucky because they can see Arlan directly as one of the welcoming committee of new students.

Seeing that, the students whispered to each other about their idols who participated in the committee, especially this time Arlan also participated in the committee.

“ Look Ra, they all only focus on the three cogans in front, especially to brother Arlan. This semester is the most historic event on this campus.” Said Abel spirit.

“ Why is it Bel?”

“ Yes obviously dong, this is the first time Mr. Arlan participated in the ospek committee. Even though every new student admissions, they have millions of ways to persuade him to join. Even his two best friends did not succeed.”

“ Yes maybe, this semester is the last for him so he is willing to join.”

“ Not even Ra, until their last meeting Arlan never showed up. But suddenly this morning he immediately volunteered himself. Yes obviously dong, they did not waste this opportunity. Although the motive is still a mystery, why a brother Arlan can change his mind so.” Abel clearly thought hard.

Instantly all new students are focused forward to listen to the welcoming speech of new students while introducing the rector, the owner of the campus and its staff.

While Arlan, secretly only watching Naura from a distance, somehow he always wanted to see Naura. Unbeknownst to him, his two best friends Dennis and Galih also notice Arlan's behavior, which secretly steals a glance towards Naura. Seeing that, they just looked at each other and brought up a smile that had a million meanings.

“ You see, now secretly he's been purified to the simple girl. My guess was right, when we saw him in the parking lot that time.” Galih said he was happy to win a bet from Dennis.

“ Yes, the important thing is we also have to thank the girl who managed to conquer the ice man.” Answer Dennis.

“ Of course, next time we buy him a meal. I'm already one of his fans. Only she's the first woman to dare yell and argue with him.” Galih

After going through various events, take a break. Naura and Abel have made new friends both from the faculty and from other faculties. They all went to the cafeteria for lunch, while Naura would catch up with him first going to the mushalah to perform the Djuhur prayer.

“ How was your first day?” asked Arlan who had been waiting for Naura to come out of the mosque that crossed the park.

“ Astaghfirallahalazim. Brother Arlan made Naura shocked. Why appear suddenly.” Naura asked while holding her chest.

“ I've been here since. You're the one who walks while daydreaming.”

“ Who's daydreaming. When Naura went to Mushalah there was no one. Now after coming out of mushalah suddenly big brother appears.” Naura

“ Um,” Reply Arlan indifferently. “ You've eaten.” Ask

“ Not yet, this Naura wants to catch up with the others to the canteen. Brother want to come?” tawar Naura's.

“ No. Well, hope your first day is fun.” Arlan said as she left Naura just like that in the park.

“ Is basic. It's as if you just left. Really like this guy.” Naura said annoyedly who went straight to the cafeteria.

“ Sorry guys, I'm a little long.” Naura

“ It's okay Ra, just relax. We also have not eaten yet still waiting for orders tuh.” Frans art student

“ Yes Ra, have you also I have ordered all.” Said Abel

“ Is, you are a true friend. Just know your best friend is hungry.” Naura.

“ Lebay deh.” said Abel who was greeted with laughter from others.

“ You guys have known each other for a long time?” Tanya Nadia student architect

“ Not yet, we met the re-registration time yesterday. From there we are getting closer. And as well as colleagues in the cafe O’ Good which is at the end of the road there.” Obviously Abel.

“ Oh so yes. But you guys look like you've known.” Andreal said Medical student.

“ Yes, hopefully we can all be friends in the future. Since we are a team let us celebrate our meeting.” Nadia said spirit

“ Yes, let's build a compact relationship and become friends after this.” Frans timpal

“ Let's toast. Cheersss.” Then Abel raised his glass of orange juice followed by his four friends.

They immediately enjoy lunch a little quickly because it will be continued with other activities. They met and were randomly selected into a team during the freshman admission period.

After the break, all students gathered in the field to participate in a series of activities organized by the committee. This will be an unforgettable experience for Naura and the others. The following days Naura will live as a student from a prestigious campus in this country. With passion he runs all the activities that have been held without looking tired at all.

Without feeling the day has gone into twilight, the time of ospek has been completed for the first day. It will continue on the second and third days. And for outdoor activities welcoming new students will be held at the top while doing charity activities.

"He is everything. See you tomorrow yes.” Abel said as they stood in front of the campus gate

“ Yes be careful all.” Said Nadia who had been picked up by her driver.

They split back to their homes. So did Naura walk to the bus stop, while waiting for her to pull out her phone and send a message to Naya to tell her experience on the first day of college. He also posted photos of himself and his new friends. Naura to smile in sending a message to Naya.

Without him noticing, came a young man who immediately sat next to him and watched Naura from the side.

“ Ehm... be careful not to smile alone. Yesterday there was a person like this directly on the nose by the social service officer.” He said after paying enough attention to Naura who continued to smile even to laugh.

Hearing the voice of someone who was next to her, Naura instantly regained her senses and immediately turned her head to the side to see who was sitting next to her.
