Gentala woke up when she heard the rooster start crowing. He rushed to find dry wood to revive the fireplace. The small branches around it were enough to add to the flame.
He then hunted animals that he could catch. Not long after, he returned with 2 forest chickens that had been cleaned. The chicken he stabbed with a branch that was still wet. Gentala then put it on the coals of fire.
While waiting to mature, Gentala then do bodywork, routine things that he does every morning. The difference is that he is currently doing it himself, if usually he is with the academic soldiers under the guidance of Ki Lurah Seno.
Gentala opened his legs a distance of two jengkal (one inch or less 22 cm), and a slightly squatting position with the back perpendicular. Both clenched hands are bent placed beside the waist. Then Gentala began to make a forward hitting motion, repeatedly.
Over a hundred strokes he made alternating left and right hands. Then Gentala replaced the movement of the punch with a kick. Kick to the side, forward and rotate, so he continues to do in sequence alternating left and right legs.
Wardhani, who had been observing from within the star stone, was confused to laugh at him or admire him. Laughing because from earlier only that simple movement was done by Gentala. However, he also amazed Gentala who was not bored at all with the movement.
Indeed that is the basic movement in any martial arts, and Gentala has mastered it well. He stopped his exercise, and headed for the fireplace to pick up the ripe jungle chicken even a little charred.
"Heyai, come out I have prepared breakfast for Nyai" said Gentala. He did not know that Nyai Wardhani is currently only in the form of a kind of tribe, so it does not need food. "Basins of a crazy boy, where might I be able to eat such food" Nyai replied accompanied by a long enough scolding.
Finally Gentala ate one forest chicken alone, while the other he wrapped using teak tree leaves around it. After that he sat leaning against the Joho Tree to loosen his full stomach. He picked up the bundle he was carrying and pulled out a very sharp little knife.
He then took a dry twig the size of an adult's arm, and broke it along one inch. The twigs then he neatened using a dagger with a medium size that he always carried when hunting.
After the twig he tidied up, then he began to scratch using a small knife. It seemed that the blade with the length of one finger was, specially used to make carvings. Scratches that are not clear, but a few moments later after there are parts that are cut and discarded, appears carving the head of a bird.
Although it was still half-finished, but it already appeared it was the head of a bird with a short beak. Apparently he was making a carving of the head of a Jattayu bird. (Birds who saved Dewi Sinta when kidnapped by Dasamuka in the story of Ramayana).
When he finished, he was ready to continue the journey, still early in the morning. Hopefully later in the afternoon you can get out of Alas Wonojoyo. But it seems that his wish is not the same as Nyai Wardhani.
"Where are you going Gentala?", asked Wardhani as he appeared in the form of purple smoke resembling the body of a girl. "It's still early in the morning, I have to continue on Nyai's journey. In order not to stay in this forest" replied Gentala.
"No need to hurry, learn the Star Sword Technique to Greet the Heavens. Only after you master it can you get out of here" Wardhani said. "But Nyai, I don't have a sword in this real world, how can it be practice", replied Gentala not to lose.
Indeed, at the time of practicing before, he could use a sword but that was only in his subconscious. Even Gentala has not undergone training in the real world. Because the practice in the real world aims to train his physical, in order to accommodate the amount of energy he uses.
"You need this technique to fight the demons in this forest. Do you think the stealth here only shows up at night?", Nyai Wardhani's scolding glides so fast.
"Alright Nyai, I will practice first", grumbled Gentala.
Gentala did not have any fighting techniques at all, other than punches and kicks. But that does not mean it is easy to complain during training. This is evident from the training given by Wardhani, only by repeating the same movements, he did not comment.
It is this persistence that makes Wardhani proud, how not if he becomes a Gentala, it will certainly be saturated if only repeat one technique from morning, until the sun is almost at the peak of the contest.
"Rest Gentala, we will continue with another exercise" ordered Nyai Wardhani. "Okay Nyai", Gentala ended his practice, and took a water bag made of buffalo skin.
"Heyai, I have to find a source of water, my water supply runs out and I also need a bath" Gentala said. "Don't go too far, if you go away from this Joho tree, you'll be chased by a demon" Wardhani warned Gentala.
Then Wardhani told him that no demon dared to approach the Joho Tree, because the aura was hot for the demons. So the safest place in this forest is this Joho Tree. Gentala was silent to hear the story, then he sat down and finished the rooster he had burned.
Meanwhile, the Bonggol who had been waiting for his master to train, spent the remnants of grass that stayed a little. Gentala also deftly mow the grass around it to feed the Bonggol. Indeed, this forest is rarely touched by humans, so the grass is still there.
Not noticeably, three days had passed, and Gentala was still doing the same. On the fourth day, Wardhani taught Gentala how to strengthen her wrists. Gentala was asked to look for a stone the size of an adult head.
Wardhani then ordered Gentala, holding the stone with his right hand, and then mimicking a slashing motion. At first Gentala had difficulty, because the stone was quite heavy. Especially with its size it makes it difficult for Gentala to hold.
Slowly he began to swing the stone in his hand, occasionally the stone slipped out of his hand. But the longer, the swings made by Gentala increasingly rhythmic. So Wardhani told him to imitate the sword technique he trained with the stone.
Luckily during the training, Gentala found that***belik* (source of water*) was large enough to allow him to drink and bathe there. For food needs, he used to hunt, sometimes wild chickens, rabbits or deer.
On the sidelines of his training he did not forget to do meditation and gather life energy. Since his sumshum pulse was wide open, he had never felt any pain when the energy entered his body. Unfortunately, he was only able to open the Manipura chakra.
Not feeling a full moon passed, Wardhani saw Gentala was ready to face the demon he met later. Before leaving, Wardhani had Gentala do a deep-power punch.
Gentala then took the stance of the horses and took a deep breath. "Deliver the energy in your hand, point your blow to the mahogany tree there" Wardhani said.
"Hhhhaaa." cried Gentala as she unleashed her punch. Along with that a beam of golden light crashing on the mahogany tree caused a loud explosive sound.
Dhuuarrr... krakkk. "Truly a terrible child", Inner Wardhani.
Gentala finally continued his journey, Wardhani suggested that Gentala ride his horse slowly. The goal is to lure the demon to attack. This is the right way for Gentala to practice sparring.
