Tokkk tokk.
The sound of the door being knocked. Salsa and Reza who were relaxing in the living room were stunned and threw eyes at each other.
"Mas, you let people come here, huh?" ask Salsa marketing.
"No, maybe you, baby."
"Not really, Mom. But let's open it first." Salsa and Reza walked to the door and opened it. How surprised they were when they saw a husband and wife with a different face coming while carrying a lot of paper bags that allegedly contained food. They were Gilang and Helena, neighbors who were right in front of their house.
Gilang displayed his friendly smile, whereas, Helena still displayed her flat expression.
"Excuse me, sorry to interrupt these nights. We want to meet at your house" said Helena who immediately changed her expression. What was once flat, now a little smile also rises.
"Oh, come on in, please" Reza said, opening their doors wide and letting their guests in and sitting in the living room.
The small sofa in the living room was where they sat and talked.
"Here, we brought you some food from my restaurant. Please taste," said Helena while handing some paper bags to them.
"Thank you" said Salsa nervously. Not without reason. He was nervous because Gilang had been looking at him with a different look. I don't know what he's planning right now.
"No need, we just briefly came here. After all, we used to drink healthy and expensive drinks" said Gilang who immediately made Helena surprised. She knew very well that her husband had never been arrogant to anyone else. He is usually arrogant. But why now as if Gilang took over his arrogant attitude?
Hearing that, Salsa and Reza could only smile lightly. Reza once said, facing the attitude of an arrogant person is to smile and agree with whatever he says. However, Gilang's remarks clearly hurt Salsa's feelings.
"I'm sorry if we can't serve you the right drink." Reza calmly replied.
"It's okay, we understand. Oh yeah, what's this work?" ask Gilang who seems to have deliberately asked Reza's work.
"I'm just a motorcycle taxi driver, Mas" Reza said.
"The present age is difficult to find work if you do not have a higher education. But, is it not better to work in a company that can provide a fixed salary every month? Because if in my opinion, the motorcycle taxi man is income is uncertain. Sometimes they don't even bring money at all. It's a pity that you two can't eat."
Again Gilang's words make Salsa hurt. Why did he have to say all this? Was intentionally? Want to make Salsa feel humiliated?
"Thank you for the input, Mas. But, even if I am a motorcycle taxi driver whose income is uncertain, but God willing, I can fulfill my responsibilities as a husband. I may have left my wife hungry. And we certainly also know what the point of saving, yes, right, Mas." Unlike Salsa who was already upset, Reza instead responded patiently.
"Yes, that's right too. But, where the hell is the savings from the results of taxing. The need for life is very high. Every month alone, I always give my wife about twenty million in spending money. Not to mention for his treatment, shopping, and money for social media. Yes, I am grateful that I can provide for everything, so my wife will never lack. Even the clothes my wife is wearing right now it's worth the equivalent of a new HP."
