Chapter 2: Don't Call Me Ugly

While in class, Mega felt himself back a few years ago when he was in college. Lecturers entered and began to approve students.

The lecturer took out a piece of paper and gave it to all the students. Apparently there's an exam. Rena forgot not to tell Mega. His hands clenched apologizing, Mega did not matter and forgave him.

The problem is there are 20 points. Not even 20 minutes, Mega has filled a repeat sheet with the answer. Mega moved from her chair and walked towards the lecturer's desk. All the students' eyes looked towards Mega. Including his two half-brothers.

Kian was also the same as other students, his eyes focused on Mega. Unlike usual, the ugly girl collected the paper the earliest. The most handsome man noticed Mega.

All thought that Mega only origin answer only, but when the lecturer announced the results of the replay when it was also Mega who got the top value.

Before Mega managed to step foot out of class, Mr. Dosen called him.

“Stop You, Mega Elias!” Shouted Mr. Teguh, his face looks red and after Mega turned he signaled for him to come closer.

Mega turned indifferently even though her steps turned to face him. Sasa and Loli fought each other. They think Mega will get a penalty for cheating he did. No student can escape the anger of Mr. Teguh.

In front of all his friends – friends, Mr Teguh asked. “Mega Elias, is it true you cheated ?” netra the adult man scanned Mega's gelagat, but none of it was seen that Mega had cheated.

“Sorry no level, no cheating word in my life!” suhut Mega is full of emphasis.

Mr. Teguh took his breath as deep as – deep and then threw it away slowly. Without saying much he immediately thrust on Mega various questions and as a result Mega was able to answer all the questions was complete without the slightest doubt. Not sure anymore with Mega's sudden intelligence, he issued a book containing a question and asked Mega to do the problem.

Mega was tired. So that he could quickly go and be free from this useless accusation he took out a pen and paper to answer the arithmetic problem. Within seconds he was done and returned the book to Mr. Teguh.

Mr. Teguh took off his glasses to just be cleaned, hoping that he would not look wrong again. Whether wearing glasses before or after cleaning, Mega's answer is just as true. Mr. Teguh then allowed the ugly-faced student to go home. Mega's smile expands staring sinisterly at her two half-brothers. Sasa clenched the unacceptable fist with all this, his status should be higher than anyone including the ugly one. Unlike the rest of the class who were amazed at the greatness of Mega.

While Kian was curious about Mega's extraordinary changes earlier.

Rena held back Mega's steps to ask about the repetition earlier. Mega replies that he has been working on it but he forgets when. Rena can't believe Mega is suddenly smart.

Mega is notoriously ugly and stupid it became the talk in the lecturer's room.

At about 13:00 Mega arrived home. Sasa and Loli had already reported the incident in the classroom earlier. Sonya stopped the steps of Mega who was about to have lunch.

“Stop saying!” snapped Sonya made Mega look lazy.

“You have ruined the clothes of my two children and now you want to eat without working first!”

Yeah, Mega's done the job on their orders, washed the clothes. Some clothes that easily fade he mixed into one.

“Means don't tell me to wash my clothes. I'm not your babu.” trim Mega not to blame.

Sonya gawked at the suggestion of Mega who had been sassy. Unlike usual, Mega will definitely beg for forgiveness to not be punished but this time Mega jumped.

So Sonya dragged Mega's hand and took her to the warehouse. Close the door violently. “Sense this punishment. You dare to fight mama then do not expect to be able to eat dinner later until you regret!” Then Sonya left.

Mega sighed harshly, not that she contemplated her fate but that she was looking for an idea to make everyone aware that she had rights in this house. Mega looked at the old window. Mega pulled out a chair and continued the delayed lunch earlier.

Mega turned on the music in the living room and increased its volume level.

Sonya who had been napping was disturbed by the sound of music in the middle room. Same with Sasa and Loli. The three women went out of the room – each to the middle room.

“Who sounds this loud music, can break my ears!” sonya shouted furiously while pressing the off button.

“Not us Ma,” said Sasa and Loli together.

“If not you then who?”

Mega emerged from behind the wall. “I turned it on, why, you guys got distracted huh ?” sindir Mega while folding both hands in front of the chest.

“You, didn't mama lock you in the shed?” Sonya looked at Mega in disbelief to get out.

“You fools or how, I am the owner of this house, you should know that I have a spare key.” Mega lied when he escaped through the window.

“Don't call me ugly, if you all still want to stay at my house!” megah snapped, her eyes glaring sharply at them one by one.

When the woman shuddered in horror with Mega's loud voice.

In a hurry Sonya changed her attitude, “Mega dear, you must be kidding, before your father died when you leave you to mama, she says you also have to go to college until graduation. If you don't let us live in this big house, who will take care of you and this house?” Sonya affects Mega. “Good. We agreed not to call you ugly again.”

Mega smiled with satisfaction.

The next day, when Mega was ready to leave for the campus Sasa came to his room.

“ Wait, Jel .. eum I mean Mega,” Sasa almost slipped calling ugly. “This, yesterday all the friends in the class have got an invitation from Kian, you must have come right?” Sasa handed over the invitation paper. From his tone he seemed to mock.

“Invitation? “ Mega frowns cluelessly, how can an ugly girl like her get an invitation.

“Iya, that's an SMP reunion invitation. Mega, I went to college first. Yuk, Loli!” Sasa and Loli leave Mega still riveted.

Mega takes out the paper from the plastic. The contents of the invitation were the Junior High friends reunion which will be held one more week at Kian's house.

Mega noticed the look of herself in front of the mirror. It is clear that the face is dull and full of acne. The lump won't go away in less than a week. Mega twisted his brain how he could get money to buy a makeup tool that is quite expensive. While he never held a penny.

Mega's step turned towards Sonya who was busy watching television. Mega raised her hand.

“Your hand why?” Sonya looked at Mega's empty palm as she continued to chew her snacks.

“I'm asking for money!”

Sonya choked while patting her neck. He took the glass in front of him and gulped it down to half a glass. “What money do you mean?”

“Of course my money. There's no way I live without money while you guys eat good food every day keep.”

Suddenly Sonya stuttered. “ I-it, u-money it used to be there for your ration. You forget, yesterday you just got out of the hospital, mama's money is almost out for your medical expenses. For monthly there is, here!” Sonya took out a hundred thousand pieces and gave them to Mega.

“Mana enough!” Mega sighed in annoyance and left.

He twisted his brain to make money. Sonya won't easily give up her papa's treasure. Mega knows Sonya is very cunning. Forced after coming home from college Mega looking for a side job.

Mega applied for work at the cafe and at the cake shop. But everyone rejected Mega on the grounds of her ugly face.

Rena the best friend helped Mega to get a job. Being a maid at the place where Aunt Rena works. At the Raditya family home.

“Hai, ugly girl! You're a maid in my house?” a man who became an idol on his campus pierced with words that Mega never liked.

“Don't call me ugly! I'll definitely make you sorry.” Threaten Mega who immediately went to the kitchen to help Bik Atun prepare dinner.

Kian just smiled with satisfaction staring at the ugly girl's departure.
