The Emperor raised his face and looked at his Eunuch then took a breath and put a brush in his hand.

“ Well, Your Majesty,” said Kasim then looked down and walked back then turned around to step open the door

“ Minister of Defense, Please come in,” Kasim Gu said with a bow. Great Master Yin nodded and strode gallantly into the room

“ Honor servant, Your Majesty the Emperor. May Your Majesty live long and healthy always,” greetings Great Lord Yin while looking down and clenching one hand while the fingers of the other hand are docked and fused on his clenched hand

“ Minister of Defense, wake up,” said the Emperor

“ Thank you, Your Majesty,” said Big Master Yin

“ What's the Minister of Defense? Didn't you just come back from the border?” ask the Emperor. To be honest he knew, that the Secretary of Defense would call off his engagement to his son. And that makes him sad

“Yes, Your Honor. Servant until last night. Therefore the servant came to salute His Majesty and at once ..” Great Master Yin folded his lips

“ At once to plead for the engagement of the servant Princess and the Crown Prince .. cancelled,” Great Lord Yin said as she lowered her head

The emperor sighed and bowed sadly. Head nodded. This was indeed the best, such was the Emperor's mind. 

“ Alright, Minister of Defense. I'll give you. And .. forgive me and my Son,” said the Emperor withstanding his sorrow. Great Master Yin was startled and reflexively looked up. He saw a look of sadness on the Emperor's face.

The Emperor nodded and flicked his hand and Great Lord Yin once again saluted and walked back a few steps then he turned around and left the Emperor's reading room

Seeing that his former candidate was gone, the Emperor could not hold back his tears. The eunuch who was with him bowed sadly

“ Eunuch Gu, have I failed as a father? I just want the best for my Son .. and to be with the daughter of Liang er, the woman I cannot reach,” said the Emperor despite the last sentence he kept in his heart

“ Your Majesty, do not be sad maybe they are not fooled,” entertain Eunuch Gu

Coming out of the Emperor's reading room, Great Lord Yin did not expect to directly meet his former future son-in-law. With a heavy heart, he stopped and bowed respectfully

“ Greetings to His Highness Crown Prince,” he said

The Crown Prince furrowed his brows and stared intently at the father of the woman he hated so much. Not waiting for a reply, Great Master Yin immediately straightened her body and stepped away without speaking again. The Crown Prince was getting furious.

With wide strides he walked towards the Emperor's reading room with the intention of meeting his father.

“ Crown Prince, sorry, but ...” Eunuch Gu who stood in front of the door saluted and dismissed the Crown Prince. He turned his head towards the reading room and looked back at the Crown Prince who was staring at him fiercely

“ His Majesty the Emperor does not want to be disturbed in the meantime,” continued Kasim Gu

The Crown Prince hardened his jaw and stared intently full of anger towards the reading room and turned around. He could not fight his father, if he wanted to become Emperor, then he had to obey all the orders of the Emperor.

“ Brash, what else did that old bastard say?”the Crown Prince

“ Your Majesty, I heard that ..” Bai Yan, the Crown Prince's maid bit her lower lip, hesitating to tell or not

“ What's wrong?” asked Yuan coldly

“ Ehm .. I heard from our spies in the Residence of the Minister of Defense, Miss Mei Lan asked ..”

“ Say!” yuan jolted as he saw his servant hesitating to say

“ Miss Mei Lan asks for the cancellation of Engagement with Her Majesty,” Bai Yan said

“ Miss Mei Lan asked her Father to cancel her engagement with you,” Bai Yan said

“ Hah?! Did ya? Ah .... hahahaha .. did he request the annulment of the engagement? Hahahaha ..” Bai Yan stared at the Crown Prince's departure and scratched her head. His expression of disbelief and Yuan's manner, was like not willing to accept the news.
