Disguised As A Teacher In Magic Academy
Chapter 39 - Steps to Truth (1)

Ludger headed to the entrance of a secret laboratory decorated with large wastewater pipes.

The sewage pipe, which was rusty everywhere and full of smell, looked real, but when he went deeper, the scene instantly changed.

The inner wall of the wastewater pipe turned neat, even the smell that used to smell bad was gone.

Ziiig.

From outside of the place, there was a sound with a subtle red light.

Ludger immediately advanced cautiously while trying to show as little sense of presence as possible.

“Hahs. I'm so bored. How much longer do we have to stay?"

"I don't know. We still have more than two days, so shouldn't we wait any longer?"

"Why did the fucking experiment get away with?"

"We're not going to get caught yet, so it's probably okay. We're cleaning up this place and going to prepare for the worst."

"But I'd rather keep it like this. It's a mess right now, because they're organizing the equipment."

"It's time to change shifts right away."

“Aduh. If only the damn experiment hadn't escaped."

Ludger leaned his back against the wall and listened to their conversation.

The two who were bored from having to keep a long guard at the entrance, were unceasingly chatting.

"I was outside at the time. How did that happen? Did the management make a mistake?"

"There must be some mistake. I heard that kidnaped kid doesn't take medicine very often, so he doesn't become like Cryptid. Maybe because he's young."

"So?"

“Why did you ask? So when I tried to pull him out to inject more drugs into his body, he refused."

"I heard it was very painful to be injected with drugs. Is that true?"

"I'm sure it hurt because they were screaming out loud. But the thing is his parents made a fuss there."

"What's? Her parents? They were already werewolves, yet they were still trying to protect their child?”

"Yes. Scientists do not know that they still have a reason. They're angrier than we thought, and the inside of the lab is a mess."

"Dam. So that's why they ran away? Isn't that a little dangerous then?"

“Hahaha! Dangerous, ass. Don'worry. I heard that we asked reliable people to take care of werewolves. By the way, I would step on a werewolf dog until he died if I were there. He made us suffer like this."

'I understand.'

Ludger felt that he no longer needed to eavesdrop on their conversation.

—Because he already knows about everything and how it turned out.

Rakings.

As Ludger stepped on the water pooling on the ground, the two chatting people immediately closed their mouths and looked at him.

"What's? Who's that?"

"Isn't it just a rat?"

Magic lights shone around the entrance, but the place where Ludger stood was relatively dark, so he could not be seen.

The two men pulled weapons from their waists.

But before that, two beams of light flew out from the darkness and pierced through the middle of their foreheads faster.

Bam! Bam!

Even without being able to shout, the two men guarding the entrance collapsed on the spot.

It happened in the blink of an eye.

Ludger walked slowly out of the darkness.

He wore shin-high leather boots, black pants, a grey vest full of pockets, and a shabby brown coat on it.

His face was covered in a black hood that hung down to his nose, and he wore a hood that covered up to his forehead.

Ludger walked past the corpses and went to the secret laboratory with silent steps like a ghost.

Not long after he came in…

Screams sounded from within.

***

“Aaaaaaah! Help me!"

The man patrolling near the entrance emerged from the darkness and ran desperately from the monster that had killed all his comrades.

Like a mirage, the monster suddenly appeared and killed his patrolling comrades in an instant.

'What do the people guarding the entrance do?'

At the moment he thought so, his gaze was reversed.

"Oh?"

His body swayed, then he fell forward. He could not move his legs under the shin..

"Why ... Why on earth?"

He looked at her feet and finally realized why.

—His leg was cut under his shin.

When he recognized her, the pain came too late.

"Ughhh!"

He gritted his teeth and stared at the darkness behind his back.

Outside the vast hallway was a darkness where all the lights had gone out.

He heard footsteps from there.

His spine became cold, and every hair on his body stood upright.

It was a man.

The intruder suddenly appeared and killed all his comrades…

He's been chasing her.

Stepped over.

The intruders slowly emerged from the darkness.

He covered his entire face as he emerged from the darkness, so he was unrecognizable.

However, based on his sturdy stature, it was clear that he was a man.

He warned the man with a trembling voice.

“You, you. You think you'll be able to get away after playing around with us? I don't think you know who's there, but you're done."

The man did not respond.

Instead, the eyes of the man seen behind the shadows of his hood became sharper.

His lips and throat became dry.

As soon as he wondered if he should ask for help, a large number of people flocked from outside the hallway.

"Here! There is noise here!”

In the distance, he saw the mercenaries approaching the place with magic lights.

Everything was packed with weapons; one of them stood out greatly, as he was fully armed.

The man shouted as he found his comrades coming to his rescue.

"Here! This way! Over Here! Ha ha! You're dead now! You will turn into a beehive in this narrow passageway.. Urk!”.

Ludger thrust a dagger into the mouth of the noisy man. When the dagger was plucked, blood splattered, and his body fell to the side.

It was then that the troops who arrived in time found Ludger.

"There! Shoot her!"

They directly aimed their weapons without asking who Ludger was, probably because they were trained soldiers,

Meanwhile, Ludger stood still as if trapped in his place.

"Shoot!"

They immediately pulled the trigger, but there was no gunfire.

"Oh?"

"W-what?"

Cocktail. Cocktail.

No matter how strongly they pulled the trigger, the bullet did not appear. Their weapons were not damaged, but the gunpowder was frozen.

Streams of cold sweat ran down the cheeks of their leader, who had instructed them to shoot Ludger.

In this case, he understood from his own experience.

"The Silent of Fire! She's a witch!"
