Chapter 6: The Curse

"Slow down the speed."

Starting to feel the speed of the car to switch at normal speed due to Lina's orders. Ilfra's eyes immediately looked at Lina who was beginning to yawn.

"Sorry, for forcing you to come to my house" Lina said as she looked at her reflection in Ilfra's pink eyes.

Ilfra slightly widened her eyes before writing the answer as usual. Well, no problem, but it was before— ah, no, no.

"Oh, it's here." Ilfra showed her eyes in disbelief. His hand immediately picked up the phone in the bag while putting the book and pen.

He opened the car door and exited after Lina, but his mind was still focused on the time taken. However, he also glanced and heard a little talk Lina had with the driver.

"I thought you lost your memory from fainting earlier." It still felt a worried tone from Lina's words, even though her expression remained flat. "Ah, light up."

The room is minimal light immediately bright due to the words of Lina. Ilfra looked around in shock, then returned to her best friend. He could only shut up while looking at Lina's blue eyes.

"What happened to me, Lina?" The question with a soft voice roared Ilfra out, creating a silent atmosphere throughout the room.

He continued to stare intently at Lina's blue netra, expecting an answer that seemed to be hidden from her. However, the white-haired girl started to yawn, as if not caring about her question.

"The answer to my question, Lina." Ilfra pressed down and increased the volume of her voice which instantly roared in Lina's brain. His gaze began to lock onto Lina's gaze trying to dodge. Slowly, Lina opened her mouth and exhaled a short breath that followed coughing up blood.

"𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘢—"

Lina's impact with the floor sounded loud. Ilfra could only fall silent with a shocked vision. Her body felt petrified to see Lina who lost consciousness, especially when her best friend's body was bleeding.

The sound of a heartbeat echoing within his body felt powerful. With a mind and heart that cannot be aligned, he began to move closer to the friend. The look on his face concluded a grinning smile, but the eyes showed a deep emptiness.
