Cultivator Fight

Cultivator Fight
The Nine Astral Steps

Just outside the Thunder Valley before entering the trees that filled the horizon, dozens of people camped outside. Most had injuries on their bodies, some even with the loss of limbs. There were disciples from random sects and the rest were mercenaries. Everyone there had one goal, which was to hunt the Lightning Cats for their monster cores, a precious and profound resource that cultivators used to cultivate themselves.

The monster core was what ferocious beasts used to cultivate and store their cultivation base. If a ferocious beast with a solid cultivation base dies, they would have the opportunity to leave behind a monster core with a cultivation base left inside that could be used by cultivators to cultivate themselves.

The monster core can also be used to create powerful weapons that greatly increase the power of its users, therefore the demand and value is high.

Su Yang casually walked towards the entrance of the Thunder Valley with the sound of lightning strikes continuously roaring in the background.

When he reached the camp, the people there looked at him with strange gazes.

“He went there alone? Does he have a death wish? "

He must be very confident.

"I'll give him two hours before he returns with tears in his eyes …"

“I'm sure he won't be back.. forever.”.

Some people there laughed at Su Yang, who was walking to the Thunder Valley without any warning on his face. They had seen too many overconfident people enter with faces similar to Su Yang only to return with severe injuries after being here for a few days.

Inside Thunder Valley, Su Yang was surrounded by mountains, tall grass, and trees. And besides the random rumbling in the background, in the area it was relatively quiet.

He walked straight into the depths for half an hour nonstop, yet he had not managed to find a single Lightning Cat.

However, Su Yang was already well aware that there were no Lightning Cats in the outer area of the place before stepping into the Lightning Valley, so he was not surprised by their absence.

"They really had perfectly cleared the outer perimeter, even carrying the corpses." He wondered as he reached deeper into the valley.

As Su Yang got closer to the middle, the rumbling in the background grew louder and fiercer, like the sound of a roaring dragon. Listening to the background, Su Yang could not help but recall the time he spent in the Dragon God Valley, where he often heard similar sounds in the background.

"Dragon God Valley ..." The light in his eyes suddenly emitted a mysterious light; it was one that was filled with melancholy.

Suddenly, the sound of screams echoed in Su Yang's ears. Even though it came from somewhere far away, he was able to find the exact location from where the shout came from in an instant.

His figure turned blurry, quickly followed by a sudden gust of wind. Using foot techniques from his previous life that significantly increased his speed, he arrived at the location in seconds, traveling a distance of nearly a mile in a short period of time.

As he arrived, he saw a group of young adults who were all wearing the same green-colored robes – half of them were on the floor and covered in blood, and surrounding them were five Lightning Cats.

These people were mostly disciples of some sects.

Lightning Cats have black fur and blue eyes, and they are roughly the size of an adult who walks with four limbs. Their black feathers were also constantly flashing with electricity, appearing as if they were all covered in armor made of lightning.

As for the Lightning Cats, they stared at him vigilantly and vigilantly. Although they were unable to see the base of his cultivation, their vile instincts warned them that Su Yang's presence was definitely the strongest there and that he wasn't someone to be taken lightly.

When the trembling disciples there noticed that the Lightning Cat had become defensive after Su Yang's arrival, their eyes glittered with hope.

Su Yang took the mission scrolls he had received from the sect and made sure that there was no mention of how many he needed to kill before completing the mission.

"Although they are only in the Elementary Spirit Realm, their monster cores should earn a decent fortune if I sell them to some wealthy family …" Su Yang unsheathed the sword by his side as he pondered about his need for money in this world.

Although his knowledge and experience was as vast as the sea, his pockets were very empty. And other than the ten gold coins he had traded with his Premium Points, he really did not have anything worth owning.

"I am very poor in this life, to the point where I will not be able to afford anything that can help me at my current cultivation level …"

In the midst of Su Yang's mind, the five Lightning Cats suddenly pounced on him along with the lightning element in their bodies shining brightly, causing dozens of small white lines like snakes to fly towards him like thunderstorms.

Su Yang's eyes flickered with a deep light, and his legs suddenly blurred, almost invisible.

The Nine Astral Steps!

Su Yang used one of the best movement techniques he learned in his previous life. And even though he could only utilize a fraction of the technique's full potential due to his insufficient cultivation base, his speed became so fast that neither the disciples nor the Lightning Cats were able to react.

He suddenly disappeared from where he was standing, and at a speed faster than anyone there could do, he appeared behind the Lightning Cat like a ghost.

In the instant when he appeared, his arm holding a steel sword danced gracefully and sharply, performing five consecutive casual attacks without any technique.

Blood gushed and heads flew.

The five Lightning Cats fell to the ground without a single head of theirs attached; they had been killed by Su Yang before the dazed disciples realized what had happened.

After killing the five Lightning Cats in the blink of an eye and ignoring the confused disciples there, Su Yang used his sword to cut the foreheads of the two Lightning Cats to retrieve the monster cores hidden within.

"It was already two monster cores ..." Su Yang nodded to himself in satisfaction and threw the monster core into his pocket.

And just as he could turn around and leave, one of the disciples there called out to him.

“Excuse me, savior! While it may be too much to ask after you save our lives, do you want to join us? ”

Su Yang turned his head to look at the beautiful girl who called out to him, who also gave him a seductive look. After glancing at his low cultivation base that was only at level 4 in the Elementary Spirit Realm, he replied in an indifferent voice: "Hunting beasts at the peak of the Elementary Spirit Realm while you are not even qualified to enter into this Thunder Valley. … What do you want to achieve here with your Cultivation Base? I've no time to play with you or your stupid game … "

Su Yang turned around and left after refusing to carry the dead weight, his silhouette quickly disappeared from their eyes, and the beautiful woman stared in the direction where she disappeared with a dumbfounded expression, his face reddened in embarrassment after listening to his harsh words.
