The Hate that is Embedded

It was a terrible night, and that was all he could express with words. An incident that was created in just 1 hour changed his life. Naifola Meiga, 8-year-old boy unconsciously vows to realize the last words of old man Son.

A flash of light was visible in several directions, it was a flare. The royal knights who were assigned to investigate the massacre case earlier, had just arrived. Bravely they hit the group of monsters.

Each sword that was unsheathed was shrouded in sacred elements, with their graceful swings slashing down the evil beings one by one. Even a beautiful spell managed to burn them in an instant.

It was an amazing sight for Meiga. But still it does not change the fact that they were late and left almost all the villagers dead.

Meiga began to hate the royal knights. Meiga thinks that getting a greatness is futile if protecting the small cannot.

Some time has passed, the knights have managed to wipe out the monsters. But the feeling of security still could not appear in the hearts of the villagers. Maybe today they're alive, but what about tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Many of them are helpless just because they think about it.

“Obati injured. Stay alert the surrounding area, we have not ascertained how many they actually are. Stay prepared for the worst possible!”

“Any commander.” The royal knights answered the command of his commander in unison.

After the knights split up to carry out their duties, a little girl came to the commander, it was Luna.

“Anu, did you meet a boy my age?”

“Hmm, from whom I met no one is the same age as little lady. Just a little above and below you. But I met a girl your age.”

“Girl, my age?”

“Iya, she's been fined number 8 from here.”

“thank you commander, I went to see him first.”

“Be careful not to run around.” The commander was a little worried.

Then looking at Luna who went to the tent, she muttered.

“Hmm, the girl may have a promising ability. Most children

his age would not be as calm as he was in this kind of situation. It's not like that, even an adult wouldn't be able to be that calm. Anyhow I have to make it under my agency.”

Luna arrived at the tent appointed by the knight commander. He opens the tent to check if Meiga is really there. What he saw was a horrible sight. All inside were the village children. Their bodies were full of cuts and bruises, their blank gazes as if they had lost the most important thing in their lives.

Luna looked around and found a child of her age who was blonde and long. The boy curled up in the corner of the room. Luna approached and began to greet him.

“Are you Meiga?”

The boy raised his head. She cried and started hugging Luna.

“Luna, I'm so scared. How can this happen, without my parents how can I live.”

“You, Iris?”

Luna was crying, her feelings were mixed. He goes into the tent to look for Meiga, but she is not there at all. Although she is also relieved that Iris, Meiga's cousin who is also a close friend survived. But somehow his worries became more unstoppable. He told himself to ask Iris.

“Iris, where's Meiga?”

“I don't know. In such a condition I can't think of anything, how can I worry about others. Just take care of myself I can't.”

“You wait here Iris, let me find Meiga in another tent.”

“Hah?” Luna was very surprised to hear what Iris said.

“Iris what do you mean the kids are only in this tent?”

“All the surviving children have been collected in this tent, other tents there are only the surviving adults, the knights, then their stockpile.”

“It's impossible no. Meiga must be alive, I'll look for her.”

Luna started to look for Meiga to the various places that the knights had set up, whereas Iris was unwilling to say anything that might hurt Luna's feelings.

He ran around with worry.

Chanting Meiga's name to let Meiga know that she was looking for him, but it was all in vain. The whole place had been seen by him but Meiga's figure was not there at all.

His body trembled, cold sweat began to pour out, his gaze started to empty. Luna also collapsed because she was not strong to face this bitter reality. Continuously he instills the thought that Meiga could not die there, she must have survived. But seeing the situation on the other hand is very contrary to his wishes. In fact, if adults die that easily, then what about children.

A footstep sounded approaching Luna. That's the commander. He approached Luna to calm her down.

“Small girl, it may be inappropriate to say this to a child your age. But I will still say, because I believe that you are different from others.”

Hearing that Luna wiped her tears and turned to the knight commander.

“Somewhere your friend is alive or not you only have one choice, join the royal holy knight. If your friend is still alive one day you will surely meet, but if your friend is dead, then do not let others experience the same thing as you. Stand up, be the strongest to crush them. I am here to guide you, I believe that one day individuals like you will bring change to this world.”

Luna's cry stopped. He opened his eyes wide and rounded his resolve.

The commander reached out his hand to help Luna stand up, Luna accepted happily.

“Commander you will really train me to be strong right?”

“Sure, I see that you are filled with potential. If only to surpass myself it might not take long for you.”

“Then from now on please help guru.”

“Hmm, teacher yes. Not a bad call for me.”

“Oh yes introduce teacher, I'm Luna, Luna Luminaries. Can you tell me your name is guru?”

“Luna yes, I am the commander of the holy knight of Raven kingdom. From now on I will train you personally.”

At the center of their conversation a blonde-haired girl came, she was Iris.

“Commander can I also be your student?”

Raven was surprised, only this time she encountered a case like this. From some of the same incidents there has never been a resident who still has the determination like these two children after experiencing such an incident. Without thinking long Raven approached Iris and stroked her head, and said of course it could be little lady. Iris smiled as she enjoyed the warmth of Raven's hand.

"Your name?"

"Iris."

Raven nodded and took the two of them away to the tent to rest.

Morning had arrived, the knights delivered the victims to a safe place in the kingdom. While Luna and Iris were taken to the base of the royal holy knight to get training from Raven.

On the other hand, a boy staggered with a body full of cuts and bruises. He walked with all his might while cursing the thing that made him like this. Strong hatred began to cling to his little heart, a strength to endure in any situation he would surely gain. He also fell and was unconscious.
