"Engh..." Arina nodded slowly and opened her eyes. One hand fumbled at the bed beside him but he did not feel the presence of anyone there.

"Brenn?" Call him in a hoarse voice.

"I'm here, baby." Brennan smiles to find the woman he loves looking for him for the first time.

"You're tidy? Wanna work?" Arina frowned paying attention to Brennan's appearance.

"not working. There's just something I have to do." Answer the man who is neat with his formal suit.

"What thing? Is it urgent?" Tanya Arina was curious.

"Yes, very urgent. If I don't solve that problem right now, I don't know when else I can solve it." Brennan approached her woman and looked at Arina lovingly.

"Can't I know the problem?" The young pregnant woman put on a hard look.

"You may know, but later after I finish it. Now you just rest and wait for me to come back to pick you up. Understood?" Brennan cupped Arina's pretty face. Arina nodded automatically.

"I'll go first. I also made breakfast for you, don't forget to eat and take the vitamins I've prepared. I love you." Brennan stole one kiss from Arina. He left after getting permission from his wife.

"What does he want to do? Don't-don't..."

"Hoam..." Syene yawned wide while going down the stairs.

"Still sleepy huh? Last night, what did you do to sleep less like that?" Arlin asked teasing his nephew.

"Sh aunty's. I was from Arina's place to Griff's mansion for a while. Nothing is weird." Syene sat in the chair opposite Arlin.

"Arena? Why with?" Arlin frowned curiously.

"Arina's pregnant. She wanted to abort the baby, but I prevented her. Good thing after I calmed her down, she wanted to hear me." Reveal Syene consciously.

"A-Arina's pregnant?" Arlin was very surprised by the reality about his daughter.

"Em.it's been over a month. He also had severe vomiting. His body became very thin." Obviously Syene.

"Aunty should see him. If it's like it's better for him to come home and stay with us, Aunty doesn't want him to do anything." Arlin was about to move.

"Aunty, not now. Brennan was there to convince her. Calm down first." The blue-eyed girl tried to calm her aunt.

"Brennan's? He found Arina?" Arlin was shocked.

"I think someone was following me and Griff last night. But I can guarantee you, Brennan won't hurt Arina let alone now that Arina is carrying her baby." Syene looked calm.

"My daughter." Arlin finally sat back down. His face looked lethargic and his body was weakened.

"Aunty don't worry, Arina will be fine." Syene continued chiming.

"Miss, miss, sorry to interrupt. Someone wants to meet." Said a servant to both.

"Who?" Syene was curious.

"He's a man, but he doesn't mention names." Continue the waiter.

"Maybe his best friend uncle." Arlin muttered out of his seat and stepped out. Syene who was in curious mode soon followed the aunt.

"Why are you here? Want to die?" Syene asked annoyed.

"I'm here to see Arina's parents! I want to ask Arina nicely and apologize for all my mistakes." Brennan said with conviction.

"But not now. Why not wait until Arina is ready to go home to meet aunty and uncle?" Syene was panicking.

"I'm a man and I'm guilty of this. So let me finish it my own way." Brennan.

"But you could have..."

"What's wrong?" Arlin's voice cut through the chatter of the two.

"Mrs Arlin! I'm Brennan, I think you'll remember me. I'd like to meet Mrs and Mr. Elnardo to discuss something important. I beg you that the Master and Madam may give me a moment of time." Pinta Brennan is polite. The man looked confident and was not afraid of anything.

"Come in! I'll call my husband to come home soon." Arlin's word is cold.

"Thank you." Brennan followed Arlin's steps and he stopped in the living room while Arlin continued his steps into the kitchen.

"Death! What am I supposed to do?" Grutu Syene was confused and worried.

"Bren, you'd better abandon your intentions if you still love your life and still want to see your baby born." Syene's proposal forced.

"No will! If I have to die to get the blessing of Arina's parents, I'm ready. At least that way she'll know how I'm so serious and love her." Brennan rejected the proposal of his female cousin.

"Why are you so stubborn? If you die, your struggle will be in vain and leave only pain for Arina." Syene was about to hit Brennan but he undoes his intention considering that the man cannot carelessly come into contact with others.

"I won't die that easily." Surely Brennan stared intently at Syene.

"Just whatever!" Syene snorted angrily and chose to sit in front of Brennan without telling him to come sit down.

A few minutes later Richard finally arrived. Syene could already see the flash of anger from the face and gaze of her aunt's husband. Richard even clenched his hands until the veins in his hands were clearly visible.

"How dare you come?" Richard pulled Brennan around and without warning punched Brennan in the face until he fell on the floor.

"Geez!" Syene was shocked and stood on the sofa.

"Mr Richard, let me explain everything. Just give me a little time to explain everything, and then it's up to you to kill me even once." Pinta Brennan but did not try to fight the father of his woman.

"There's nothing I need to hear from you! Unless you can restore my daughter's life to what it used to be!" Richard pulled and grabbed Brennan's collar until the man stood up.

Richard punched Brennan in the stomach. The man beat Brennan and vented all his anger. Syene did not know what to do, because if she broke up, she could be a victim. But his pair of eyes caught the strangeness on Brennan's skin. His skin looked as blistered as it had been a while ago when he beat up Brennan.

"Gosh, the disease's coming back." Without thinking any more, Syene jumped on the back of the sofa and ran to her room.

"Damn it! You've taken away my daughter's happiness and now you want to hear you! It will never!" Richard was still beating Brennan even though the man was bruised everywhere. Even his mouth spewed fresh blood from Richard's punch, unfortunately he had no desire to fight or just defend himself at all.

Brennan's breath was already panting because of his relapsing illness. His vision began to fade, but he still tried to realize in order to 'fight' Richard's anger.
