"Just a cat." I heard Nida's voice.

Yilya heaved a sigh of relief. He hid behind the door after pushing the cat. Yilya still felt scared and weak when she saw with her own eyes that the man she had always loved was a murderer who had no feelings at all.

With a slow movement, Yilya tried to get up to leave the place where she witnessed a very terrible event. Yilya began to think about her survival. How could she run the household with Mas Arthur without feeling anything strange about him?

As Yilya suspected, news of Bu Eni's death began to spread to the corner of the village. Not only about the body of Bu Eni who has not been found, but when there is one of the residents who put suspicion on Mas Yono. Mas Yono is a newcomer who just settled down. Since the arrival of Mas Yono, many irregularities have occurred. One of them, the death of Bu Eni which is considered very unreasonable even though basically, Mas Arthur is the killer.

"Where are you going?" ask Mas Arthur while sipping black coffee that Yilya provide.

"To Bu Eni's house. Must be a lot of people coming to look for the perpetrator of the disappearance of Bu Eni's body."

"Corpse? Miss Eni died?"

"No need to pretend, Mom. One village already knew that Bu Eni was dead even though his body had not been found."

"Where's the rumor? Not that Bu Eni just disappeared, huh? How does the story tell people that this Bu Eni is dead if the body has not been found?"

"No idea, Mom. I'll go first, yeah." Yilya went out of the house.

Ms. Eni left for the murder that night. However, Mas Arthur seemed to feel absolutely no guilt. It seems, Mas Arthur was familiar with the victims he had killed. Arthur could really hide his absurd soul. In fact, his face did not look at all anxious and worried due to the thing that had just been done.

Yilya went with Bu Nirma. Along the way, they talked to each other until they reached Bu Eni's house. Many people gathered. Among them, several people were busy asking each other about Bu Eni's disappearance for the investigation process. Sometimes Yilya feels anxious, what if the results of the investigation reveal that Mas Arthur is the killer? After all, Arthur was still her husband.

"Please sit down, Mom," said one of the teenage girls–anak from Bu Eni– with sad eyes.

Can be seen clearly, the look in his eyes was filled with sadness. Yilya felt, the woman was afraid and anxious over the bad news that befell her parents.

"What exactly happened?" ma'am Nirma asked started to open her voice.

"From last night, Ms. Eni hasn't come home yet. One of the village guards said he found a lot of blood under a tree on a deserted road."

"Is it possible that Ms Eni was hit-and-run?"

"It seems not, the road access is not much passed by the vehicle."

"Then like—"

"Mum Eni's body has been found!"

Everyone who was inside the room immediately turned to the origin of the voice. The news of course makes Yilya increasingly feel surprised and anxious.

"Where? My mother is alive! Don't talk about it!" snapped at Bu Eni's daughter while wiping her tears that continued to wet her cheeks.

"Sorry, Son. Your mother ... is gone."

Yilya felt claustrophobic over what she saw. For some reason, he immediately remembered the threat received if in the period of time he had not found the man who had killed the bodies, the life of Yilya would be at stake. Yilya did not think what if Kyna and Dama also felt lost a loved figure.

"Sit down! Tell me what really happened?" ask Miss Nirma.

"Mom Eni has been found! Really am! There were many people near the village river. They witnessed for themselves that Bu Eni's corpse was inside a cardboard instant noodles in a state of great disrepair!"

"Astagfirullah ...." Everyone who listened to the news looked extremely shocked and disbelieved at the news they had just heard.

"I think, Mrs Eni is a victim of mutilation."

Yilya's chest felt very tight. He began to worry, what if the whole community found out that Mas Arthur was the killer?

"Mayat Bu Eni is very concerned. His body was destroyed, even his face was no longer recognizable. However, Bu Eni's husband said that it was his wife's corpse because there was a birthmark on the waist that could still be seen."

"This can't be allowed! Whoever the killer is, must get a proper reply!" shouted a woman whose age was advanced. The woman is a parent–ibu–from Bu Eni.

Bu Nirma turned towards Yilya while holding his fingers. He said, "I know that Bu Yilya is worried. Do not show such a face in front of others. Be calm, don't make others feel like there's an awkwardness here."

"Mrs Nirma—"

"I know." Yilya nodded quickly.

Yilya felt that there was something strange about Bu Nirma. Who is Miss Nirma? Why does he always know what has happened.

Not long after, came some people with an annoyed look. He shouted, "The new man is a murderer! I'm pretty sure that Bu Eni left with an excuse!"

"New people?" yilya said slowly while squeezing the tip of the shirt.

"Mas Yono! He came to this village yesterday. Since his arrival, there have been many irregularities in this village. Until now, bad things have happened to Bu Eni."

"Mas Yono who lives near the pecel merchant?"

"Yes, right! He must be a killer!"

The commotion started happening. A lot of disagreements occurred due to the temporary assumption that Mas Yono was the killer of Bu Eni's corpse. In fact, the killer without feeling guilty just stay at home while drinking a cup of coffee.

Yilya and Bu Nirma immediately said goodbye to go home. Along the way, now they are just silent and busy struggling with their respective minds. Meanwhile, upon arriving home, Yilya sees Nida giving a knife to Mas Athur.

"What else are they gonna do?" Batin Yilya.

"Don't forget, yes, the selling price of this knife can't be cheaper. It's the right price" said Mas Arthur looks panicked and tried to divert the conversation when he saw Yilya entering the house.

"Ready, Mas. If this knife, Nida sure can sell at a price that is quite expensive, anyway." It is clearly seen that Nida also began to understand and follow the drama that Mas Arthur did.

Without saying a word, Yilya did not press the fake chatter that came out of Mas Arthur and his sister-in-law. He rushed into the room. However, how surprised he was when he saw Bu Eni in the corner of the room while smiling at him.
