Chapter 28 - Searching for Truth
"From now on I promise to look after you. We have to get back together for our dear children." continued Adam he was sure that they could be together again
"Sorry, I can't." Dinda took off Adam's embrace.
"Why? wouldn't it be nice if we got back together?"
"It's not the right time, Mom. Sean was struggling in there, how could I possibly think of anything else?"
"I'm sure, if Sean knew we were back together, he'd be very happy." Adam persuaded Dinda.
"Sorry, I can't forget that picture. I can't remember you ever sleeping with another woman." Dinda finally explained to Adam.
"What photo, Din? which woman? who's sleeping with me?" Adam was confused because he never felt he did it.
"Already, Mas. I don't want to talk about it." replied Dinda flatly.
"No, Din. I swear, I never did that! how could I possibly do it while it's just you I love?"
"But the evidence is clear, ma'am."
"What evidence? where's proof? show me!" Adam nagging.
"I don't hold that evidence, but maybe your mom still keeps it."
"What's? Mamma?" Adam surprised.
"Yes, please ask your mother, because she asked me to divorce you she wants you to marry Erika."
"Erika's? how come? you know I don't love Erika!"
"Of course."
"Okay, I'll look for evidence to make sure that your allegations are false. But you have to promise, if I'm proven innocent, you have to go back to me!" Adam was excited, he was sure he could get proof of that.
"Whatever." answered Dinda lazily.
'Ting-tong' IGD doors open.
"So, how's my son?" ask Adam and Dinda.
"Princess Father has successfully passed the critical period, now his condition is more stable. After observation, the patient will be transferred to the treatment room."
They were all relieved to hear the doctor's statement.
"Thank God, thank God you saved our son" Adam said.

After Sean's condition improves, Adam immediately flies to Jakarta, he wants to find evidence so that Dinda and Sean can return with him.
At the airport, Aldo was waiting for Adam.
"Do, we go straight to my parents' house!"
"Good, sir."
Arriving at his parents' house, Adam immediately went in looking for Mamah.
"Mahs... Mah.." call Adam.
"Darling, you finally came to my mother's house again Son." hugged Adam.
"Well, does Mamah still have the photo that Dinda meant?" adam asked regardless of his mother's words.
"Honey, that's actually what Mamah wanted to discuss with you all along. But you always avoid Mama."
"Sorry, Mah. Adam was in a state of confusion, so he could not think clearly." Adam lamented.
"But Mamah didn't keep the photo dear."
"What's? then how did Adam convince Dinda, while Adam himself did not know what his picture was like?"
"Are you sure you never slept with Erika?" ask Mama doubt.
"Mahs... Adam is not that kind of man. There's no way Adam slept with another woman, while Adam had Dinda whom I loved so much."
"How about the ring? didn't you propose to her?"
"What else is this? I never proposed to anyone but Dinda, Mah!"
"But, Dinda recognized the ring you gave Erika."
Adam tried to remember the incident before he was in an accident.
"Oh my God, so Erika said that Adam proposed to her with the ring?" ask Adam.
"Yes dear."
"Well, that ring Adam bought for Dinda. Adam. I want to surprise her."
"Adam remembered. Before the accident Adam just came home from Jember. Adam came home early because he wanted to surprise Dinda, but when he arrived at the office, Adam's client in Bandung asked to meet."
"Continue?" Mamah listen.
"Because of the urgency, I rushed there, and it just so happened that Erika was handling the project, and she forced me to come with my car."
"I haven't been able to tell Dinda, because my phone is lowbat. So I thought I'd give it to you when I got to Bandung." Adam continued his explanation.
"On the way, Erika took the ring box I was going to give to Dinda and put it on. Adam tried to take the ring, but Erika refused. And finally an accident happened."
"So you didn't go to Bandung to get married?"
"Mah! Is it that easy to trust others? even Mamah doesn't trust me?"
"The explanation he gave made perfect sense, dear, how could Mamah not believe it?"
"Then, why did Mamah ask Dinda to divorce me?"
"You don't think you can divorce her, so you want to get married secretly. Mama just doesn't want you two to feel any more pain."
"Oh my God, Mah.!"
"At first Dinda refused, but after she saw a picture of you sleeping with Erika, Dinda immediately signed the betel nut."
"What was the picture like, so that it could make Dinda divorce me?"
"Tastefully all women will do the same if they see vulgar photos of her husband with other women without clothes."
"Why corner Adam?"
"It's not that Adam, Mamah just didn't get out of his mind, how did the photo come into existence? while you yourself insist on not admitting it!"

"The photo was already in check for authenticity, 100% genuine!"
"This must be Erika! He should have disappeared." Adam's upset.
"Mamah will ask Papah to help you find Erika. Only he can explain the truth."
"Good, Mah. Thank ye. Adam will try to find him."

The doctor has allowed Sean to return home from the hospital. He recovered faster than the doctors predicted. Maybe because of the inner bond between the child and the father, so that the blood donated by Adam can help Sean recover faster.
"Hello Sean, good morning."
"Mowning (morning) Uncle doctew (doctor)."
"Would you check Sean's condition?"
"By dong, Sea kan pintaw (smart)."
" Well, yeah well, Sea is very smart, it's worth it Sea quickly healed."
"I can go home yet?"
