Clown Girl Beloved CEO

Clown Girl Beloved CEO
Chapter 9

Nayla heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Arya finally coming out of the office. His heart was pounding, as today was the day where he would express his feelings directly to the man who had filled his mind long ago.

"Naila!" call Arya, waving her hand at him.

Nayla held back her nervousness and with steady steps approached Arya. "Arya, can I talk to you for a second?"

Arya frowned, confusion emanating from her face. "Sure, what's up, Nayla?"

The two of them walked towards a nearby park, a place that had always been a witness to their meeting. Nayla felt her heart thump even more as she realized that it was time to express her feelings.

"Arya, all this time I felt something so strong towards you. I wonder, do you want to marry me?" nayla said with courage.

Arya was surprised to hear those words. His face paled instantly, reflecting his deep confusion. "Nayla, I don't know what to say. I never thought you'd get me married."

Nayla tried to keep her calm. He knew that Arya needed time to process this information. "I understand if this is surprising to you, Arya. But I'm absolutely sure of how I feel. I want to continue our relationship to a more serious stage."

Arya looked at Nayla with a mixed gaze between astonishment and hesitation. "Nayla, you know that we're just friends, right?"

Nayla nodded gently. "Yes, Arya. I'm aware of that, but love can grow and develop over time. I feel like you and I have a strong bond, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Arya shook her head, trying to digest Nayla's words. "It's really surprising to me, Nayla. I can't give you an answer right now. I need time to think about it carefully."

Nayla smiled weakly. "Of course, Arya. I understand that this is a big decision. I'll give you the time you need. But please, take it seriously."

Damar, Arya's loyal assistant, notices her boss' mood swings. He knows something is troubling Arya, and Nayla's presence seems to be the cause. Damar carefully approached Arya and sat down next to her.

"What happened, Mr Arya? You look so moody," asked Damar worriedly.

Arya let out a long sigh, trying to calm herself down. "Damar, Nayla, he asked me to get married."

Damar was surprised to hear that. "Really, Sir? That's shocking news. What do you think about that?"

Arya shook her head. "I don't know, Damar. I really don't know. Nayla was a good friend of mine, but I never saw her more than that. Now, he wants to go further, and I don't know what to do."

Damar pondered for a moment, trying to find the right words. "Sir Arya, this is a difficult decision. Getting married is a big commitment, and you have to think about it carefully. How do you feel about Nayla?"

Arya bit her lips, trying to formulate her feelings honestly. "I know Nayla is a good woman. We have a lot in common and are always comfortable together. But, I'm not sure if that's enough to build a lasting marriage relationship."

Damar nodded in understanding. "Indeed, marriage requires more than just common ground and comfort. There is compatibility to be considered, as well as deep love. Do you feel that there is love between the two of you?"

Arya was silent for a moment, pondering Damar's question. "I'm not sure, Damar .. that's hard to say."

Damar placed his hand on Arya's shoulder gently. "Sir Arya, trust your instincts. If your heart isn't sure, it might take more time to consider Nayla's offer. Don't rush into making decisions that will affect your entire life. Then what about the bad girl?"

After Arya returns home, she is greeted by Maya, her mother, who is waiting for her with a worried face.

"Arya, there's something I want to talk to you about" Maya said in a serious voice.

Arya put down her bag and sat down on the sofa, feeling increasingly curious about what she was going to say. "Of course, Mother. What's up?"

Arya was surprised to hear that word. He felt a growing confusion. "Mother, I don't know where you heard the news from. I haven't even decided anything."

Maya took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Arya, as your mother, I just want what's best for you. Dilla is a good girl, her family is respectable, and you two are also socially compatible. I just hope you take this marriage seriously."

Arya was feeling more and more depressed. He feels pressure from all directions, both from Nayla who invites him to get married and from her mother who is planning a wedding with Dilla. All of that made his mind even more chaotic.

"Mother, I understand that Dilla is the right choice socially and in line with family expectations. But I have to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about Dilla. I feel like there's nothing lacking, and I don't want to get married just because of outside pressure."

Maya looked at Arya sadly. "Arya, marriage is not just about feelings of love. Sometimes, there needs to be compromise and loyalty towards the family. I don't want you to disappoint us."

Arya felt her heart heavy. He loves his mother and does not want to disappoint her, but he also has to think about his own happiness. "Mother, I know that you want the best for me. But marriage is a decision that will affect my whole life. I need to think about it carefully."

Maya nodded slowly, trying to understand Arya's position. "Alright, Arya. I'll give you time to think about it. But, please remember that Mom is always there for you, and I just want what's best for you."

Arya held her mother's hand gently. "Thank you, Mother. I will consider it seriously. Please give me some time."

Maya grips Arya's hand tightly, trying to give her support. "Of course, honey.

Just as the tension between Maya and Arya reaches its peak, Dilla, Arya's potential bride-to-be, shows up with a bowl of cold fresh watermelon slices in hand. His face was full of bright and innocent smiles.

"Mother, I brought fresh watermelon for all of us!" he exclaimed cheerfully.

Arya and Maya look at each other, shocked by Dilla's sudden arrival and her innocent actions. The tense atmosphere was momentarily broken by Dilla's feisty presence.

"Dilla, what is it?" arya asked, trying to get rid of the tension from her face.

Dilla approaches them cheerfully, offering Arya and Maya a bowl of watermelon. "Come, try floating it. It's so fresh and sweet!"

Maya still looks shocked, but she decides to accept the watermelon on offer. "Thank you, Dilla. You always bring joy into this house."

Dilla smiled broadly. "Oh, of course, Mother. I'm glad I could help brighten the mood. So, what's going on here? Why do your faces look tense?"

Arya looked at Dilla with a mixed look between anxious and surprised. "Dilla, actually mom and I are discussing something serious. There's a big decision we have to make."

Dilla sat down next to Arya, still with her undiminished smile. "Oh, so? What the hell's going on? May I know?"

Maya and Arya meet each other, not sure if they want to involve Dilla in this complicated discussion. However, Dilla looked very enthusiastic and sincere, so they felt the need to tell her.

"Nayla, a friend of Arya's, had asked her to get married" Maya said hesitantly.

Dilla was surprised, her eyes widened upon hearing the news. "Seriously? Arya, is that right?"

Arya nodded, trying to explain the situation to Dilla. "Yes, Dilla. Nayla expresses her feelings and invites me to get married. I'm still confused and can't give a definitive answer."

Dilla was astonished, but kept smiling. "I understand. Love is complicated, right? You must think about it carefully and follow what is felt in your heart."

Maya looked at Dilla expectantly. "Dilla, what do you think of this? Do you think Nayla is a good choice for Arya?"
