Armanto came to bring his wife from the village. They are both at Ram's house. Armanto is counting all the crops sold to share the results with his beloved niece.
That afternoon he was sitting on the terrace. Enjoy a cup of coffee and fried bananas made by his wife.
"Assalamualaikum, Mr. Arman!' greet someone outside the fence.
Arman turned to the origin of the voice. He found a man who had once been his best friend. It even planned to match her niece with the son of the man who was now smiling towards her.
"Wa'alaikum greetings, Mr. Dirman," Arman replied.
The man approached the fence. Actually he was still reluctant to just chat with this man. But, because Ram felt happy. Arman decided to forget the incident that almost made him and his niece embarrassed.
"How are you, sir?" ask him just a pleasantry. Suddenly.
"Sir, wasn't the guest invited in?" a soft voice from inside the house.
His wife did not know about the man in front of him.
"Yes, until I forget. Let's go in, sir," asked Arman kindly.
Dirman enters after Arman opens the fence. The man certainly took the opportunity to talk a lot and apologized for the incident a few months ago.
When a cup of coffee is served. Dirman occasionally glanced at Arman. He wanted to call the man who sat quietly while sipping coffee was his best friend. But, Dirman was very self-aware, after what his son had done.
"I'm sorry, Man. For the mess Bagas did first," he said timidly.
Arman closed his eyes for a moment. His heart is still burning. He was still angry when he remembered that time.
But again, it's all gone. "Maybe it's Ram's destiny not your son's soul mate."
"Yes .. I'm very sorry for the past. I'm sorry, Man!" said Dirman sincerely.
"I'm sorry too, Dir. Had to immediately break the rope just like that," said Arman then smiled thinly.
"Are we still friends?' dirman asked carefully.
Arman nodded. The man clasped his best friend's hand. Dirman. After that shameful incident. The man in front of him is still willing to be heartened to forgive and keep the friendship back.
"Thank you, Man. Thank you!"
The two returned to chatting lightly. There was laughter between them. Until the sky starts to get red. Dirman.
"If you have time, go to the house. Bring all your nieces. Well, my wife and my son haven't seen Ram in person, just through the photos" Dirman said.
"Inshaallah. I can't promise that. Ram is married, so I have to ask permission with her husband first" Arman said.
There was a bit of pain, like being sliced in Dirman's heart, when he heard that Ram was married. The man was also very surprised.
"Just when Bagas doesn't come on the wedding day" Arman replied firmly.
Dirman's knees are wobbly. Body's limp. The man almost fell if his hands did not hold on to the gate. Arman who saw it only responded to it normally.
"Why?" ask Dirman lirih.
"What do you mean why?" arman turned around to ask.
"Why did you marry Ram the same day? Was this really planned?" dirman asked in a disappointed tone.
"You mean?" arman asked a little confused. The man didn't understand Dirman's question.
"You know what I mean, Arman!" dirman was very upset.
"Are you deliberately changing the groom, without waiting for my son?" he continued with great disappointment.
"Why don't you just cancel and wait. My son must have married your niece!" continues annoyed.
"What did you say?!" Now Arman is starting to get emotional.
"Do you think I can resist embarrassment?!" he shouted with a stifled voice.
"Ram was crying waiting with a embarrassed face. All the guests started to squabble. And as if you were telling us to cancel this marriage and then wait for your irresponsible son?!"
"Where's your brain, Dirman!" his screams again are now starting to get emotional.
Hearing her husband scream, the wife ran to the yard. There her husband was fighting with his guest. The hijab woman immediately embraced and encouraged the husband to resist all emotions.
"My son must have married your niece! If you can wait!" yelled Dirman not to lose.
"Shoppers!" shouts Arman starts to get emotional.
"Mas ... It's Mas!" the wife held the body of her husband who wanted to beat up the man in front of her.
"We should forget our friendship. Let's just say we don't know each other!" break Arman. Then he pulled his wife into the house.
Brak!
A loud noise from the closed door. Dirman will be surprised at his recklessness. But the man was still selfish.
"At least wait, until our problem is over, Man," he said softly and then he walked towards his house.
