''There was no serious problem other than his injuries. The only serious problem is his mental state. I don't want to know what you've done to this woman because it's none of my business, but since she's my patient now, it's my responsibility.''
Arthur held a smile. The wretched old lady, the special doctor assigned to her, always wanted to know all her business, and then complained to Lucas with a little extra dramatic spice.
''There's nothing you need to know, Irene. I was just helping her, telling daddy that this kid has become more mature and good.''
Irene coughed, wrongly raising her glasses.
''I never said anything about your activities to Lucas. Don't make me look annoying.''
''You don't even realize you're a bitch.'' Arthur clucked, he leaned his body towards Irene.
''Two months ago who told daddy that I just fell?''
The damn old doctor raised his glasses, his movements agitated as if he wanted to quickly end this conversation.
''Daddy even forbade me from using the bike again. For God's sake, Irene. I fell down not because I was careless, but someone hit me and it wasn't intentional. I've investigated the identity of the impactor in detail, and I'll make sure he's no one's enemy. Not my enemy let alone daddy's enemy.''
He understood his father's behavior, although they rarely communicated, Lucas was very protective as a parent. Secretly always watching her even though they live in a different country.
''You're an asset that will carry on my entire company, I have to take good care of you.''
Pretty painful, but of course that's not the point of his words. Unlike her who is open to her feelings, her father is a closed person. Not too able to convey affection through sentences.
Maybe long ago, when he and Ara were kids. As they grew up, Lucas began to change his attitude.
''Oh well, I confess. I reported you to Lucas, but it was on his orders and because I was worried about you.''
Arthur squeezed both of Irene's shoulders.
''Your concern is simply to reply by not complaining about any of my activities to daddy, ''' he said slowly.
He flicked his chin towards Nathalie who was still curled up at the head of the bed.
''Your duty here is only to treat it without much question mark.''
Perhaps Arthur smiled too often and was friendly, the man seemed never tired of doing good. His presence on earth is a blessing to those who know him, unfortunately few people know if certain moments Arthur can become a demon.
A little bit of Lucas's nature decreases on him, his dark eyeballs will feel dark if he looks at someone who has violated the limits of his privacy.
Like this moment, it was only a gaze, but it was able to make Irene tremble. It didn't take long until the old doctor nodded and responded to Arthur's words.
''Where did this girl come from?''
''Why can there be a woman with a mental disability in Arthur's apartment?''
And there are still many other questions that want to be asked, but all are held back. Irene realized that right now her attitude had gone too far, Arthur was uncomfortable with it.
Sighing softly, Irene walked towards Nathalie who immediately stepped back while shaking in fear.
Irene smiled motherly, extending her hand to invite Nathalie to welcome her. ''I won't hurt you, come on baby, I'll check on you.''
Nathalie turned her head towards Arthur who nodded her head as a form of approval. The man smiled then raised his chin so that Nathalie would welcome Irene.
With hesitation and a little fear, Nathalie approached. Irene checked her condition.
''I will wait for you in the living room as usual.''
Just as he had landed his butt on the sofa, the clicking sound from his door of the apartment was heard, and a beautiful woman dressed in an expensive dress stepped in.
''I thought you were an undead. Lately you never called me again, I missed you, you know?''
Ara, her beautiful twin landed her back next to Arthur. Hugging the twin briefly with pursed lips.
''Don't tell me you still feel guilty about my marriage? I told you that I made this decision for the good of both of us. You don't have to feel guilty. Arthur, I'm talking to you!''
Arthur chuckled, turning his body to face Ara with a gentle look.
''Really?'' Ara narrowed her eyes sharply, assessing the entire face of her twin.
''Of course. Come here, I'll hug you.'' Arthur spread out his arms which Ara immediately greeted with a big smile.
''Are you happy, Ara?''
''...''
''Ara?''
''Uh, what are you asking? Sorry I'm a little less focused. Your hug is so comfortable, it's been a long time since we've been married.''
Arthur rubbed Ara's hair with a pity. ''Are you happy? He repeated his question in a soft tone.
''Of course I'm happy, I've secretly liked Alex since I first met him. Oh, I don't know if I like it at first sight. And two days ago she admitted to liking me too.''
''Thank goodness you are happy, I am glad to hear that.'' Arthur smiled as he said it, but only for a second. A second later his face turned dark, he knew his twin was lying.
Alex, the poor man just made use of the Dobson family fortune. Arthur's two hands clenched, how could the man have fiddled and played with other women with Ara's money?
''Don't stay away from me, Arthur. I know since that incident we both kept our distance, but don't be strangers. You never called me again, not even you came to me. If I hadn't visited today, would you have visited me? You're the only one I have, don't avoid me, okay?''
More precisely they are the ones who keep their distance. Ara herself immediately avoided it and married without her knowledge. Unfortunately he only knew two days before the wedding reception Ara held.
After Ara got married what did she expect again?
But it must be admitted that it is too hard to put limits on their relationship. Arthur took a long breath.
''Forgive me, I just don't want to interrupt your honeymoon.''
''Hey, what's wrong with you. We're twins and you're my brother, Arthur. It's not usually that we keep our distance like this.''
Arthur chuckles. He rubbed the top of Ara's head in love.
''I just wasn't focused. I have a lot of problems to deal with lately.''
''Are you still helping Allard?''
''Yeah, he just found one traitor in his company. You want a drink?''
Arthur let go of his embrace and stood up. It was then that Irene came with a huffed-up face.
''This is a serious matter, Arthur. I think you need intensive care for your girl. I myself do not know what liquid is implanted in his mind.''
''Girl?'' Ara frowned.
''Ara, when did you come?''
Irene's face immediately sparkled, the old woman approached Ara as she hugged her affectionately.
''So, aunt. I didn't realize that you were here either.''
This time his eyes shifted to Arthur. ''Whose girl, Arthur?'' he asked again when he saw the twin was still silent.
''The girl I found in the middle of the road. I almost hit him, and yeah, he passed out. Then I brought him here to be treated.''
Ara narrowed her eyes, knowing that Arthur was lying. Other people even his father and mother could be lied to, but Ara could not. They have the same habit of lying.
Maybe he'll ask again.
Ara stepped lightly into Arthur's room, her eyes instantly widening to see the woman curled up on the bed.
Wasn't this girl ...
...Seriate......
